I Am Undying

"It looks like I needed something important to do too.", Rin waved his phone.

"Ah, that's too bad but okay if it's something important.", Jun disappointingly said.

"Thanks", Rin glanced at Dana and saw her with puppy eyes, 'So sorry! Dana! I'm so sorry! I'll get you back with something later.', he thoughy as he exited the library.

Just a few moments passed, when Rin was walking in the hallway, there was some feeling that was creeping behind him like he was being followed. Of course, he turned around to see nothing and just shrugged it off as nothing.

'Is she going to continue our conversation?', Rin thought as he went up the stairs and exited to the rooftop.

As soon as he passed through the door, he was ppulled into an enclosed space where you wouldn't think that you're in the rooftop. From there, you could only exactly see the rooftop and the fences on its edges and the three sides are just walls.

Rim heard someone panting coming from his side. Sylvie who was still holding his arm was the one who was panting. The two are enough to fit in the enclosed space.

"Why are you so out of breath?", Rin asked.

Sylvie was shivering a bit, "I'm scared of heights."

"…", Rin stared at Sylvie coldly, "Then why did you invited me in the rooftop?!", he exclaimed in a low voice.

"But… but…", Sylvie was about to cry.

'Is this really the girl who glared daggers at me back then?', Rin sighed, "The tell me quickly what you want."

Sylvie nodded, "You already know why I called you here. It is about Dana."

"Yeah, what about her?", Rin just ignored Sylvie holding his arm tightly. It is not like it hurt him or anything.

"When we were young, we're best friends but when sheanythingnto high school she treated me like a stranger. I tried many times to talk to her but she just ignored me until when you two got closed.", Sylvie then stared at Rin with a worried face, "How did you do that?"

"…"

"Is it a secret?", Sylvie tightly held Rin's as she got closer which Rin moved away but couldn't since there are no more spaces to move.

Rin wasn't affected by Sylvie's cuteness since he knew someone cuter. He pushed Sylvie's forehead gently with a finger and said, "No, it's not a secret."

"Then please tell me!", Sylvie looked like that she had forgotten that she was scared of heights and became determined if not desperate to get an answer from Rin, "I tried many times to get closer to her again but always failed. Then… I gave up and finally felt awkward around her that I started to avoid her.", her tone was of sadness.

Rin noticed that Sylvie was becoming desperate.

Rin blushed and heard a Thud!* through the wall. He furrowed his eyebrows and stood up to open the door. Sylvie with shaking legs didn't let her grip go and followed Rin.

When Rin opened the door, down the stairs, he saw Dana lying on the ground while holding her knees with a pained look.

Rin's heart skipped a beat when he saw this and immediately went down, but Sylvie who was holding his arm lost her balance and her grip at the same time when Rin suddenly moved.

"Kyah-!", Sylvie fell down but Rin immediately caught. When Sylvie opened her eyes, she saw a pair of golden glowing eyes.

"Sorry.", Rin apologized and put her down after going down the stairs. Sylvie just stared and then the golden glowing eyes faded.

Dana, who was on the ground, stared at the two and got angry and pouted.

"Hey, Dana, are you okay?", Rin immediately crouched down and looked at Dana's knee as he asked worriedly.

Dana blushed and ignored Rin. She wasn't being cutely angry but even so, she still looked adorable.

"What happened?", Rin asked.

Dana still didn't answer as she tried to stand up but immediately lost balance when she felt the pain from her knee but, of course, Rin caught her and princess carried her without letting her escape.

Dana pushed Rin and struggled, she flailed her unwounded leg and hit his chest with all she got but nothing happened to Rin. He didn't even looked a bit tired.

Rin saw Dana's bleeding and said worriedly, "Don't move too much. Let's go to the nurse office.", He sighed, "Tell me what happened, okay?"

Dana shook her head furiously. She pushed him again, "Nghh!!", with all her might until her face got red and then she felt tired. She then gave up and just put her arm around Rin's neck and rested her forehead on his shoulder, sulking.

'Why is she acting like a kid?? Although, I don't hate it.', Rin smiled subconsciouly while blushing. This is the first time that she held Dana like this but when he noticed his expression, he suddenly turned serious. He thought that he may looked like he's enjoying this moment.

Sylvie was staring at the two like it was some sort of an entertainment act.

Rin turned his head and said to Sylvie, "Sorry but I got to go to the infirmary.", but when he was about to go, "Wait!", Sylvie shouted.

"???", Rin stared at her.

"I, too, scraped my knee.", Sylvie said shyly and pointed at her knee.

'How?!', Rin wanted to shout but kept it in, "Then hold onto me.", he offered his other shoulder. After he said that, he felt Dana tighten her arms around his neck. The two felt each others heartbeat.
