I Am Undying

5 Conversations where One-Sided Insults and Punches were Made

"Ah…" Rin didn't know how to react in that kind of an unclear insult. He just always avoid eye contact and turn his head but when he did, he saw Marjohn whose face was red.

Since there is the unfolding of a tragic story in the place where he placed his eyes, he chose to go back to the uncomfortable feeling of being stared at by a cute girl with her harsh comments. It is better since there is a cute girl than to look at a tragic. The tragic of counting down and when this tutoring was finish, it was time for him to get beaten up.

Marjohn was already planning what he would do to Rin later on. It is to relieved his anger or he might explode and beat Rin up while Dana was still here.

Rin knew what would happen to him later on so he felt his knees weak and his body slightly trembling.

"Focus on what I am saying!"

Rin got surprised as it is the first time he heard Dana had her voice louder than her usual.

"Umm… okay, sorry." Rin's eyes fell on the notebook and felt a little guilty since Dana was here to tutor him but he was acting like that. His guilt got over his fear.

Dana was kind enough to tutor a dumb man like him so why would he waste her kindness. He should focus like she had said.

The end of Dana's lips curled slightly and she also covered her mouth with her lightly knuckled hand with thumbs up.

"Okay, then…" Dana taught Rin the basics of the basic and slowly connect all the topics that had been taught and then finally, she taught what he lacked in the mock exam which is almost everything.

With the help of the simplified note that worked like a magic spell, Rin slowly understood half of it but Dana was not bothered by it but was satisfied instead.

Though she taught him almost everything that was taught in months and it was slowly, it took them only an hour and a half.

"Dana, you're very good at teaching." Rin over the time got a bit more comfortable around Dana.

"Because I know that you just don't know some in the current topic but the whole subject so I just revised the surfaces of the previous ones and tried to connect it its obvious points so even you can understand. Then having set the background, I taught you the basics of the current topic…" Even her methods, Dana didn't mind sharing them to Rin. While Rin continued to listen and tried to process each of her sentences.

Dana retrieved her notes and stood up while Rin was pondering.

"Tomorrow I will once again review you two and bring an exercise problems. Please continue to review as you please if you can."

'She's really too formal.' Rin opened up a little to her that now he could say, "Ah, thanks."

Dana took her bag and left. When she was about to go out of the library, she turned her head back and wave a goodbye to Rin.

The sun was now starting to hide over the horizons. Its sunlight that made the sky reddish yellow. Rin was about to get beaten up. Such poetry.

Marjohn abruptly stood up and said, "Follow me."

'Oh no…' Rin felt his knees weak again but nothing really defeats intense fear in this case.

At the back of the school, there is a small alley between the building and the wall. People rarely go there as it is only filled with grass and there is not one spot where you could relax. Nothing was great about here so nobody even bothered to go there.

Now that school time was over and students are now home or somewhere else and not in school, whatever teens do.

Nobody will see the beaten Rin on top of the grassy landscape. His face was spared like always but his torso and his limbs have gone numb from all the pain he have gone through.

Rin could not get up, he needed to go home before his mother does or he will get a barrage of questions from her. He needed to clean his clothes from all the dirt and some blood to prevent suspicions but he was unable to.

After quite some time when the sky is already dark while only having to moon and the stars lighten it up.

For the whole hour, he just stared at the sky to pass the time. He did not cry nor sob but only dazed. When he felt his body with pain, he knew that he was now able to move so he did so but it was painful each time he did. He felt like every muscle of his body was cramped.

A non-stop full-body workout for 3 hours could not even come close to the pain he was experiencing. However, he did have any choice and he is almost accustomed to being in pain. He can bare the pain but he still couldn't lessen it.

He carefully stood up and checked his body. Fortunately nothing broke or vital so rest is enough to heal it.

With hardship he took his bag and went home step-by-step. He prioritized on cleaning the blood so even how dirty he was, it was still not too weird.

His home and the school is relatively close. He was only slow on the way to school because he is always avoiding as much person as possible.

Ding!* he rang the doorbell with his trembling hand but nobody was answering.
