I Am Undying

44 First Stage of Focus

Rin breathed deeply in and out. He no longer ccan feel the pain of the spear inside his chest. The Natural Energy was also helping him recover but thhe spear was still there so it would complete its recovery unless it was removed.

Natural Energy softly filled his head, it was greatly refreshing Rin's mind. After filling the head, the Natural Energy could only go into his threads of soul. The tiny blue threads of his soul that was waving like a seaweed under water enlarged. Before, it could still go through the hole of thhe needle but now, it barely couldn't. Although, it was not much but Rin could feel his whole body strengthening right after.

Finally, the blue threads aldo reached it limit. Those limits were regardless about the limits of the body, it was about the mind and the soul. So Rin's immortalization couldn't do anything about the limits of his mind and soul.

When the blue threads was filled and strengthened by the Natural Energy, the shining golden thread that was enveloping Rin's beating heart grew like roots of a tree. But instead of growing downwards, it grew upwards throught his spine, through his brain and enveloping it too, and finally, at the back of his eyes.

His pupils glowed faint gold. No other color glowing on his body was found but only the golden eyes.

Elihim stared with a tinge of surprised, 'She's right, that is a sign of the Mark of a Godslayer.'

While Aliya gulped, 'This kid was surprisingly talented. If he were to become a Slaying God, he may outpower the God of Destruction.'

Rin's eyes felt warm. Even with his eyes closed, his pupils that had a golden glow can still be seen even if it is barely noticeable through his eyelids. He's focus increased as time passed until a few moments later, there was a Click*.

Surge of Natural Energy imploded into Rin's brain, his golden pupils rotated with speed and glowed slightly brighter. The golden threads of his soul that looked like roots had streaks of light travelling inside of it into the eye, the brain, and the heart as if supplying it with something else.

Blue glowing wind softly swirled outside of Rin's body. The blue wind was increasing as time passed by until it covered Rin's figure and formed a sphere made out of glowing blue wind, surrounding him.

Rin looked at the spear that was stabbed in his chest.

Aliya knew that it was finished and pulled the spear out of Rin's chest but the wound quickly closed up and healed itself completely without shedding a bit of blood.

Rin sweated a little because he felt the pain again when he regained consciousness but since Aliya pulled it right after, he didn't suffer that much.

Rin's eyes glowing gold didn't yet to disappear, he looked around and notices more detail that before. Although not like a photographic memory, he remembered things now clearer. Lastly, he thought that the time went slowly while he looked around. The world was still black with white as its outline.

He closed his eyes, tring to test the water, his senses was greatly improved too! He knew what this may be. Is this the First Stage of Focus Dragger was talking about?

He did not knew that he's eyes were glowing gold, he did not see himself yet but he can clearly feel the golden threads of his soul supplying his eyes, brain, and heart with something. However, keeping this golden thread working was very mentally taxing.

Rin just have a thought to deactivate the golden thread and it did! The streaks of light travelling within the golden thread disappeared. His eyes' golden glow faded to his original black pupil.

Rin closed his eyes for a long while before opening them again and stared at the woman in front of him.

When Aliya saw that Rin had fully regained consciousness, she nodded and coldly said, "Congratulations."

Rin was a bit surprised, 'Huh? This is the woman that stabbed me with her spear, right? Why is she congratulating me? And if I remember correctly, Master should be here.', he turned his head to looked around and noticed that his sight was not as clearer than before when the golden thread was activated.

A bit of strength was removed from his body but if he compared it before he entered the meditation, he could immediately tell without hesitation, filled with confidence, that his strength increased by a huge margin.

When he turned around, he saw Elihim with slightly widened eyes and then smiled at him, "Congrats, Rin, for entering the First Stage of Focus."

"First Stage of Focus…", Rin whispered, "So this is really the First Stage of Focus.", Rin looked at his hands and breathed deeply in and out.

A wide smile emerged from his lips and and filled with excitement he whispered, "Yess!!!!", he clenched his fist as he celebrated.
