I Am Undying

"Uh yes, that's what we called them.", Elihim patted his chest.

"Who exactly are 'we' you are referring to?"

"We, the [Otherworlders]. I mean in this world, you basically everything you have to live. May it be food, shelter, water and other necessities for living if you have money and practically, money can be pretty easy to be earned in this world. So there is no actually no need for them to continue to master the natural energy. Unlike in our worlds, we do it for survival but here, they do it just to compete. So, therefore, we call them [Sportsman].", Elihim sound he's mocking the entire Hidden World.

But Rin seemed to be enticed when he heard "worlds".

"So there are more worlds.", Rin gulped, "No! I must live in here first and finish what I need to do.", he determinedly said.

"Hmmm, you seemed very interested about the other worlds."

Rin couldn't deny it and just nodded.

"Then that made it easier. I actually planed for you to not just visit other worlds but also to conquer them."

Rin thought it was a joke and laughed at it.

"Say, do you want to control what you've experienced earlier, that sudden strength that made you feel invincible and what made you defeat those useless guys?", Elihim was like a snake through his words.

Rin's heart beat a little faster. "The manual???"

"Hahah, those manuals doesn't suit you!"

Rin suddenly felt disheartened about it.

"Ah, why are you getting disappointed? I did say that manual are unsuited for you because they can't make all your potential let out. What you needed is a great master!"

"Master? Are they in the Hidden World?", Rin didn't really trust what Elihim was saying but Elihim's words alone spirited him.

"Hidden World? The strongest there can be defeated if I breath on them alone.", Elihim was having fun mocking those at the Hidden World, "You have a literally infinite potential. Don't you need someone capable be your master?", he pat his chest.

His words were pretty intimidating but Rin didn't thought of it at that because he have no idea how strong the strongest man in the Hidden World.

"You mean from the other worlds?!", Rin was getting excited and excited.

"What the ****!! Are you dumb!? I meant me, a God! God of Knowledge and Wisdom, Elihim is taking you as my direct disciple!", Elihim shouted.

"Ah sorry, my brain just couldn't process a God being my master. I thought that you are only here to guide me or something.", Rin lowered his head but his heart might stopped any moment from excitement.

"What? Are you living in an anime?", Elihim asked, "So do you accept it or not?"

"Seriously, you're not joking?"

"I know you are exaggerating but why second?"

"Hahah, well, He will still above all."

"Who's he?", Rin's curiousity doesn't seemed to be satiated that easily.

Elihim sighed and said, "He, the God."

"Huh? I thought that you are already a god?", everyone is going to be confused by this, not only Rin.

"You know, almost all of your religion points to Him, the Omnipotent God.", Elihim spoke with cautious, "He is the start of everything and He will be the end. He is the only Judge to all living things, including me. No one can stand above Him."

Rin sensed that Elihim wanted to escape the topic so he followed, "Okay… I accept, Master Elihim!"

"Gahahahaha! Good! Good! Since it seemed like we both can't wait any longer. I will impart you a teaching before I let you rest. Listen well."

Rin nodded.

"Do not be vain. You hold an extremely high potential but do not hold yourself higher than where you currently are and live for yourself and not for others, in that way, you will have fun.", Elihim smiled.

"Live for myself? Isn't that being selfish?"

"No, base on what I've been all through all my life I can definitely say that people live for themselves. Even if you don't know about this, you will still do it, it is only natural. I only told you so that you don't have to be conscious about being selfish."

"Then I can't protect others in that way.", Rin was a bit conflicted and started to doubt Elihim.

"The question is: Do you want to protect them?"

Rin's eyes widened, he was enlightened.

"Oh, looks like you got it.", Elihim was a bit surprised, "Then I'll let you rest first. Tomorrow, we will start to improve yourself. We will be training your confidence tomorrow."

With a sudden blow of wind, his body disappeared. His voice faded along with his body.

While Rin still stood there, in dazed.

"If only I want to protect them… which means that I still do thing accordance to myself. What about others who care for their friends, are they living for their self too?"

"Actually! They are… As a human, we need friends. They are entertainment and we share bond that will help us. If they don't fit us then we avoid them and only make them an acquaintance. We only make friends out of its benefits but it is the same as for those friends too."

Rin didn't stop to ponder and started to walk, leaving the thugs behind. He has not a bit of care for them.
