I Am Undying

He exited a street and entered a busy place. Vendors sell in their stand by the side of the road. Different stores such as convenience store and not very faraway is a market. In the center of all of that is a plaza where sheds and statues were placed. It is a great place to rest.

Rin was thirsty and hungry at the same time that he went to the food stalls and planned to buy. The shy Rin could never buy something from a stranger but there is a lot of things that is inside his head that he couldn't careless any less if he failed to communicate. At worst, he will just be hated but since he is a customer, no vendor could ignore him.

"Sir, two of these sandwiches and one juice please.", Rin pointed at a tuna sandwich and at a coconut juice.

It seemed the vendor didn't hear him and continued to prepare a sandwich. After a moment later, "Here you go." the vendor gave him his order and Rin paid it naturally. Real life vendors are not all friendly, Rin thought.

'Too much anime, I guess…", Rin thought. When he was about to continue his walk to the mall, he stopped. He looked at what he bought. Rin became emotional, "I bought these so naturally… this is the first time I bought something for myself!" he murmured.

"It did not become awkward!", Rin was a bit over joyed. Because of this small thing, his confidence went up a little.

But he couldn't smile. He was worrying on much bigger things. Now that he thought of that, he is no longer a human.

He is now different from all the people that was walking to and fro on the street. He's immortal, I think it is safe to assume that he is unique.

Rin then went straight to the market. This is definitely the first that he had to go groceries all by himself. Before, he can't to simple errands. It is like how babies can't walk.

Everything went smoothly, he took a cart, took everything he need, and paid it at the cashier. Even with tons of stranger, he did not have a bit of problem about it.

After that, his confidence rose up significantly and enjoyed being 'independent'. When he got home, he felt an urge to go out and explore the town.

"Why when all of this unbelievable things that's been happening to me, did I have this fun?", it was just after lunch so he still had a lot of time. The good part was that day was Saturday. Which means, as a student, he was not bound to anything. There are some places where they forbid students when it is still school day like arcades and computer shops.

Since he was already there, he went to all the few stores and got some snacks. Luckily, he is 'normal' from the start and his food took a normal process.

He went to all the arcades and have fun in there. That refreshed his mind and lessened his worries. At the arcade, he found out that he is a bit skilled and won a few prizes. After hours, Rin exited the arcade with bags hanging on his arms while drinking a drink.

Since he was having so much fun, Rin decided to not go home early and found a place where he could sit and rest. He sat on the grass by the river while eating an ice cream. There are many people passing on the elevated road but for him it is quiet enough.

Although, just in the morning, he had so many things in his mind but now, he felt relaxed and nothing could bother him.

While he was lying on the grass bed by the river while looking at the orange sky, trying not to sleep. In the distance were thugs in a group. Having metal pipes and woods with nails at their hands.

They all have sharp glare and intimidating aura surrounding them. There were ten to fifteen of them.

Rin noticed them but ignored. There would be no way that they would bother him and if they did, their target was money and Rin wouldn't hesitate to give a few to avoid trouble. He is still a weak coward after all. Even if he knew how to fight, the enemy have weapons and on top of that there were more than ten of them.

Rin closed his eyes and tried not to think about it. Then without knowing it, he fell asleep.

Far in the distance, Elihim was seating on the rooftop of a two floored house. He was all smiles and casual.

In front of him was the sun already setting and just under that was a river. Rin who was lying and thugs were getting closer and closer to him.

From there, Elihim could actually see every detail clearly.

"Please have it!", Elihim said in a low voice. He looked at Rin with hope, "Begin."

A metal pipe swung through the air and destined to hit the vulnerable stomach of the sleeping Rin.

While his eyes still closed, his body suddenly jerked and made him spit blood. Having been surprised, Rin curled and looked at what was happening, his face turned ugly from pain.
