HIS COLD WIFE

Anna froze in shock. Two gunshots were heard

" I saw the paper.." She heard Sarah say as she fell on the floor with blood in her hands. Anna reached out to her and held her in her arms. She then looked up to see Kenny on the floor with blood coming out of his body.

The paper she was referring to was Anna's pregnancy test.

Her hands shook. She held her in her arms. "Stay with me!" She yelled. She doesn't want to lose another person important in her life. "Sarah! Wake up" She continued shouting. She ripped a piece of her clothing and tied it around Sarah's injury. She applied pressure and looked around.

She saw Jack coming over and he took Sarah in his arms. "Take her to the hospital." She ordered and wiped her tears away. The battle isn't done yet I have to kill that bastard first." She told him.

"Retreat Now!" She ordered. She didn't want to risk Sarah's life. She got up and walked towards Kenny who was still gasping for air. " Ha ha fine I guess you win this time around." He mumbled. "No….there won't be another time." She told him.

She searched in his pockets and finally found what she was looking for. She took the pendant in her hand and kicked his stomach. He sent him away from her so that she could do what she needed to do.

"NO!" He shouted. Anna threw the pendant on the floor and smashed it with her foot. "It's over…." Kenny mumbled. He took his last breath and died.

With the pendant broke he can no longer do a rebirth.

Anna sighed in relief and knelt down. She gave Damon a hand and helped him up. " It's over." She repeated Kenny's words. Damon nodded and hugged her. He kissed her forehead and pulled her closer. " Is there something you want to tell me?" He asked.

Anna nodded and Damon wiped her tears away. " We're going to have baby honey." She answered and looked at him searching for a reaction. Damon gave her a smirk. " Finally that took way too long." He answered. Anna hit his arm and shook her head. "It took you long enough to get pregnant" He added.

Anna chuckled and laid her head against his chest. Damon looked down at her and cupped her cheeks. " Thank you." He whispered and kissed her lips. Anna smiled and wiped his tears away.

She frowned and saw Damon's face fading away. Suddenly everything turned dark.

"Congratulations MISSION COMPLETED" She heard someone say.

Anna frowned. She looked around and suddenly she was in a room. All the walls were white and the lights were bright.

"What hell?" She said in confusion.

" Sweetie, it took you two lifetimes. Jeez I can't with you." She heard another voice.

Anna turned around and was faced with a young man and a beautiful girl. They seemed like twins. Anna took a step back and subconsciously touched her stomach.

"My what?" Anna asked in shock. " So basically we look after you because you didn't receive justice in your first life. In this world there are certain chosen ones. These people are given a great amount of pain to go through and if they are strong enough they get a happy ending." The girl continued to explain with enthusiasm.

The young man came over and showed Anna the pendant in her hand. " Unfortunately, since your mission is done you may now rest in peace." He continued.

"Is that the happy end you refer to?" Anna asked. "Well yeah?" The young man shrugged.

"He's just kidding. Well kind of. You're a special case." The young lady interrupted. "See you have a soulmate. My brother is just pissed because you made our job harder. " The girl explained.

"The chosen ones are chosen because they don't have soul mates but you do." The young man said. Anna furrowed her eyebrows. If she hadn't been reborn once then she would sure think she is going crazy. "Don't worry it isn't that bad. There will be just some slight pain. You'll get your past lives memories and so will your soulmate." The young girl continued to explain.

"But your child will be marked. Once he turns 20 if he doesn't find his soulmate he dies." The young man told her indifferently. The young girl laughed awkwardly. " Heh don't worry about it, it's not as bad as he says so. Hey at least he gets a soul mate right?" She said.

Anna laughed. "He?" She said and her laugh ended. "It's the price the kid must pay. And yes it's a he." The young man responded.

"You can decide not to do so and you go back to your first lifetime. Things will be reversed but this time there will be no soul mate for you and the child dies." The young man explained.

"I'm sure you know what the right decision is right?" The young man continued. " Wait sorry I'm so sorry. My brother keeps leaving out the rest of the information." The girl interrupted.

"Yes because you're supposed to explain to her that part." The young man responded. The young girl rolled her eyes. "It's not like you're letting me." She replied. "Anyways. That would be if you only had one child. But now you have too. So the mark will go to both. Since Annie isn't your biological child then her mark will be more difficult to carry." The girl explained calmly. " You took her as your responsibility so now you must claim her as your daughter." The young man told her.

" Of course if you refuse to let them carry the mark then they die." The girl added. "How will they know who their soulmate is?" Anna asked. " Because their soulmate will share the same mark" The young man responded.

"So what's your decision?" The young girl asked. " Fine…" Anna responded.

" Alright great decision goodbye~" The young man replied impatiently.

Anna blinked and found herself in a hospital bed. She placed her hand on her head and looked around the room.
