Help! I'm In Love With A Liar

Chapter 44:My Wedding Day

I am getting married today and while I write this last chapter, I looked up into the mirror, right across my writing table. Dressed in a bright red grown and matching jewels, I was ready to be somebody's bride. I am sitting all alone in my room upstairs, while others are busy making arrangements. I am all set to make a move downstairs any time, after the groom and his family approach.

Suddenly, I hear fire crackers at some distance. My heart skipped a beat at the sound. My man is here. I knew his entry would be loud and happening.

I had always dreamt of giving an Indian touch to the wedding, where my prince would come to my house on a horse, to take away his princess. My family was more than happy to arrange for the entire theme and the program.

Wang, and his friends and family, were approaching my house and soon I'll be called too. I could now hear the thumping of the drums too which meant, they were coming closer. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath to calm myself. I was sweating and I apprehended, it would spoil my makeup and hairdo.

After another 15 minutes, they approached the main gate of my house. I peeked outside the window to have a glance. Everybody was dancing merrily on the beats and my family was now dancing too.

I spotted Wang, he was sitting on the horse, that was decorated in an Indian style. Wang danced as he rode on the horse. Poor horse! I pondered and chuckled for a moment. He was my knight in the shining amour, coming to take me with him. I was looking at him and laughing at his craziness. Suddenly, he looked up in my direction as if he knew I would be looking at him, from my room. Our eyes met and he blew me a kiss. I laughed out loud and hid behind the curtains. Suddenly, I was petrified again. This is it, I thought. I'll be called downstairs any second now.
