Harry Potter’s Strongest Senior

Chapter 195 The Uninvited Minister of Magic

Sean never expected Mrs. Norris to be petrified last night, and some students died in the morning. The story should not have developed like this.

Perhaps the students who saw the eyes of the basilisk in the original plot were fine in the end, so Sean had an illusion, but it was a basilisk.

Seeing that the normal ending of its eyes is death, those students who were petrified can only say that God blessed them, and all their luck in this life was used to keep this life.

Ada Keeling didn't have such good luck. She was like the humans in the legends of the basilisk. She saw its eyes and was deprived of her soul.

Cedric fell silent. He couldn't believe the scene in front of him was real. The classmates who were eating at the same table just now left them.

"Professor, Professor Sprout." Cedric felt stuck in his throat, wanting to ask but not daring to ask.

"Hagrid, take them back to Hufflepuff," said Dumbledore.

The tall Hagrid stood in front of Cedric, causing him and the students behind him to lose sight of the front. Hagrid opened his broad arms and said.

"The professors here will take care of it, everyone hurry back to the dormitory." Hagrid's body moved forward slowly, facing the huge body, the students had to retreat.

"Pomona, don't let Ada get on the ground, take her to the school infirmary." Dumbledore said to Pomona Sprout.

Professor Sprout wiped away the tears from the corners of his eyes, and carefully carried Ada's body to the school infirmary with the Levitation Charm.

Madam Pomfrey looked at Sprout and Ida who came in in shock. She was proficient in medical skills, and she had already come up with the answer before touching Ada's body. The child was dead.

This was the first death she had encountered since she was a school doctor at Hogwarts. Usually, no matter whether the students came in by jumping in or lying down, she could let them go out vertically.

But this time, she felt powerless, and all she could do was cover Ida with a sheet, covering her eyes that could not be closed.

The castle was empty, and all the students returned to their dormitories of their colleges. Dumbledore ordered the news to be temporarily blocked, so that the outside world could not know it.

If this incident is known to the outside world, Hogwarts will face suspension and closure of the school.

Sean sat on the self-study table in the common room without thinking. The other three seats on the left were Chris, Cassius, and Graham.

Although Snape was standing in the common room, staring at them and telling them not to talk about what they had just seen, how could he control the fact that his mouth was on other people.

Some people went back to their rooms and began to discuss, while others chatted in whispers in the lounge.

A few students had heard about the murder of Myrtle by the basilisk from their elders, and Ada's death was very similar to that of Myrtle.

So the story of the appearance of the basilisk began to circulate among the students, and Xiao En realized that there was a big difference between the current basilisk and the basilisk in his memory.

In the original plot, the basilisk was under the control of Tom Riddle, and it focused on attacking little Muggle-born wizards, and Ada Keeling was obviously not Muggle-born.

Sean didn't know her well, even though they were in the same class, so he just asked Cassius.

"Ada Keeling, a half-blood wizard, the girls they play with are all half-blood wizards," Cassius said.

"My grandfather said that the basilisk was raised by Slytherin in his secret room, in order to purify the dirty blood one day." Chris put her head in the middle of the table and whispered, afraid that Snape would hear.

"Dirty blood, is it a Muggle-born? But Ida is not." Cassius came up with a conjecture,

"Isn't it made by a basilisk?"

Sean, who wasn't part of their discussion, was pretty sure the basilisk did it, and that the basilisk was still roaming the castle.

Dumbledore thought so too, because he came to the underground space of the Chamber of Secrets again, and the seal he left on Shimen last night was destroyed.

He knew that after the basilisk was released last night, it never returned to the secret room, and used the sewers to roam around the castle.

There are many castle buildings and complex underground pipelines. It is not easy to find the basilisk hiding inside. The key is how to subdue it after finding it.

The basilisk is a XXXXX-level magical creature assessed by the Ministry of Magic. It is extremely dangerous and can easily kill wizards. It is extremely aggressive and destructive.

There are also students in Gryffindor who know the legend of the Basilisk, and because Harry spoke Parseltongue last night, the way everyone looks at him now makes him very uncomfortable, as if everyone is afraid of him.

"You don't think I opened the Slytherin Chamber of Secrets and released the basilisk, do you?" Harry looked at Ron and Hermione expectantly, hoping they could give him an answer that would make him feel better.

"Of course not you, I'll be with you all the time, unless you have the avatar technique." Ron said.

Dumbledore made a decision that he would use Harry to lure the Basilisk out while the students continued their suspension.

But next month will be the Christmas holiday. If the students are not allowed to go home, parents will definitely come to the school to make trouble, and the school will still be closed by the Ministry of Magic.

However, just because he was afraid of something, the Minister of Magic, Cornelius Fudge, came uninvited. Less than half an hour after Ida passed away, Fudge visited Hogwarts with his assistants, and everyone in the school was shocked. Didn't leave, as well as the owl.

Dumbledore knew that he had been tricked by the man who opened the Chamber of Secrets.

Since Hogwarts cannot apparate, Fudge and his assistant Kane can only appear outside the castle and then walk in.

Fortunately, Dumbledore discovered Fudge's arrival in time. He personally went to the gate to welcome the two into the school, and asked Fudge's purpose as he walked.

"Dumbledore, I received an anonymous message that the Slytherin Chamber of Secrets has been opened again, and the basilisk inside has been released."

"I can still see the murders from fifty years ago," said Fudge.

Fudge happened to be a seventh-year graduate the year Myrtle died, and he went on to train at the Ministry of Magic until he became Minister for Magic.

The reason why Fudge was so interested in the anonymous news was because he had just been a minister for two years, and what he wanted was a calm situation in the British magic world, and it would be best if he could make some political achievements to prove his leadership ability as a minister.

Rather than the negative news of the student's death, but from the few words Dumbledore and Connery had just chatted, Dumbledore discovered that Fudge didn't know about Ada's death yet.

"This must be a prank. When did you receive the anonymous letter?" Dumbledore asked.

"In the early hours of this morning, the staff on duty received an anonymous letter from under the fireplace. I opened it and read it at work this morning." Fudge replied.

Dumbledore and Fudge walked and chatted, the three of them passed the teaching building, the students were in class, everything looked normal.

When they passed the Transfiguration classroom on the second floor, Dumbledore winked at Professor McGonagall, and Professor McGonagall nodded in understanding.
