Aliya had her eyes wide opened in astonishment. She was not able to decipher a simple statement. On one side the son says that his father was responsible for everything he suffered and on the other side the father claims that his son is wrong? This family was really one of the weird ones. She was in an utter state of confusion.

"But Rishi said that.....

As Aliya was about to argue Praveen said which made her silent for several seconds

"Because he doesn't knows the truth. He saw the surface but doesn't know what is buried deep inside." he sighed

"I may believe you. Because I know you in person. You are a genuine being. The day Rishi said me everything I had many doubts. I was like how a man like you can do such a ruthless thing? But if it is true, then why don't you say it to him?" Aliya raised her voice as she asked the question

Praveen turned around and sighed.

"It is not that straight and simple. Have you disclosed all your evil secrets? No. You too know he is not a child who is easy to convince. Think of it."

When he referred to Aliya's past, she could not help herself to frown.

"Hmmm.... That's right uncle. But...

"Your choice. If you want to believe me or not."

Aliya still had many questions. She wanted to know every detail.

"Sometimes I think, what if history repeats itself? What if he cheats again? But again my soul says not to think about what will happen in future, just live the moment. Strange. When it is about career or other major decisions, we think of it's outcome in future. But when we are in love, we just want to live in present, stop the time and be with our love for ages. We don't think about anything else when we are smitten by someone."

"That is what happened in your case. Aliya you too know, out of desperation, people sometimes take wrong decisions. I suggest you to give each other time. Understand each other. Know if you both complement each other well or not. Till that time I will convince Radhika. I don't want those typical fights of daughter-in-law and mother-in-law. Moreover, you have still that tag of gold digger which isn't forgotten by many. Your decision made in haste will only confirm that it was true. Let everything return to normal condition. Do you understand?"

Praveen immediately understood the whole situation. He has also undergone this age and is a well-experienced man to have faith on. Aliya smiled at him while wiping her moist eyes. Praveen came forward and hugged her

"Before becoming my daughter-in-law, you are my daughter. And don't you worry. I won't let Rishi disappoint you this time. Just one request. Never misunderstand my actions dear. I do it out of love for my son."

Aliya closed her eyes and took a few seconds to respond. She knew how was Rishi's dad. She had only heard Rishi's side and made a negative impression about his parents. She should have listened to both sides. As she was not clear about the incidents happened in Rishi's past, she decided not to make any judgements about anyone. She resolved to concentrate on her relationship with Rishi for now.
