Aliya was prepared for any negative remarks or some question like the same. She knew that her mother was a proud lady but she is not a witch or demoness who would eat Aliya up. So here was the real test of whether she is really a capable psychologist who could handle any type of person.

"Mom, she is not in fault....

Rishi was about to argue but Aliya stopped him

"Rishi! Don't argue. She is right. We are responsible for this mess. We didn't tell our parents about this on time. Otherwise, we could have evaded this situation. You are right aunt. More than him, I am responsible for this. Actually, I was the one who delayed it. In fact, we both too planned a surprise for you. We both were going to announce our marriage the same night. But before that could happen, you gave us a 'pleasant surprise'. Am I right Rishi?" she urged Rishi to join in with her

"Y-yeah right! She is right! That is the reason I had called you for the party. When you told me to invite Deepika and her parents, I didn't mind that. But how could I have understood that it is because of marriage proposal" Rishi tried to please her

"You both don't act to try smart. And you Aliya, it is not the case that I don't know you. You are too clever to brainwash anyone. I remember the day we met. You and that another devil, Anushka, both of you were so desperate to kill my child. And today you say you want to marry my son? How can I trust you?" Radhika started to seethe

Aliya was in a condition were she couldn't refute this fact. Anushka was the one who wanted to take Rishi's life. She had called her gangster members to give him a good hiding! Rishi would have died that fateful day, within two weeks after their breakup, if his professor hadn't call the police. The authorities of the hostel didn't know how Anushka and her gang sneaked in. But once they came to know that one of their student was being beaten up to death, they had called the police. Indeed Anushka and the others were about to be jailed but if Aliya wasn't there with a backup plan, then God only knew what would have happened to Anushka. Among these thoughts Aliya forgot to answer Radhika, she kept on thinking about the past with her head facing her toes. She would have continued to look down until Praveen spoke

"Enough, Radhika. If you are done with your scolds and stuffs, then shall I talk to her? Rishi,take your mom upstairs." he said in a calm expression

"I.am.not.going.anywhere. Even I want to listen what your dad has to say!"

"Fine! Then me and Aliya can go upstairs, can't we Aliya?" Praveen said glaring at his stubborn wife

"Y-yeah sure. I won't mind." Aliya said while tucking her open hair behind her ears.

Aliya got up and started following Praveen who was leading her to a room upstairs. Rishi was cursing himself inwardly for making her stuck in this family drama. But he he had a slight confidence in him that his dad would understand him and Aliya

Aliya and Praveen were in the room but the door wasn't locked. He just instructed a servant to not allow anyone to roam outside the room.

"Thank you dear." Praveen broke the silence
