After seeing the use of the two skills he got, Ronald became excited as he can't wait to try it.

He first tried the map skill, which is added in the tabs on the screen, making it 5 tabs in total.

After pressing the map tab mentally. A new screen appeared replacing the status screen. It was a huge map. In the center was a place where many squares are gathered together, it was labeled as Oakheart Village in the map, and at the northeast of this village was labeled Everlast Forest, that has occupied a very very large area of the north and east side of the map. And occupying the west and south of the town was a vast plain.

After observing the map, Ronald prepared the things he needed in order to start hunting and increase his level.

After 10 minutes of walking, Ronald finally saw his destination.

The Everlast forest is the home of many beasts, it encompasses a mountain range which is arranged in a circular manner surrounding a vast lake in the middle. No one has gone into this lake from the village, as you need to have at least an A rank adventurer strength in order to be safe while transversing this mountain range. And that is just the requirement to reach the lake. In the lake, located in the middle of the mountain range, resides the most powerful beast in the area. It was a beast of the beast king rank. The kingdom has once sent 10 A class adventurers to subjugate it but they didn't return since then. So the King of the Kingdom sent an S class adventure to subjugate it. But the beast then hid itself in the lake and never to be seen again. Until now, no one knows whether it was still alive or still lurking in the depths of the lake. The S rank adventurer tried to enter the lake's water but stop after reaching the depth of 3 meters as the waters in that part was concentrated with dense mana coming from the beast and battling there would be disadvantageous. Also, there is only one S-rank adventurer in the whole kingdom, so he can't stay here as this place was far from the capital, so the kingdom just sent some soldiers to monitor the events in the forest. But as time passed the soldiers had slackened.

As Ronald was walking near the entrance of the forest, many things are not the same as yesterday. Not like yesterday where there was no one here, today some people that are of the same age as him grouped together and hunted the rabbits around the entrance. So he decided to go inside the forest, though it may be dangerous but if he would just be alert and careful and not go too deep into the forest then he should be safe.

Ronald was someone who likes to be alone, though he wasn't the person who was alone because he was bullied or something. It was just that he really liked the quiet life he has and doesn't want to change it.

He slowly crept and hid behind the bushes. As the people in the village hunted in the entrance many rabbits had run into the forest to hide and that is what Ronald was aiming for. Ronald planned to prepare a trap suitable for catching rabbits. But first, he must find a target to not arrange the trap randomly.

He heard of this trap from an adventurer who always boasted when he was drunk. Though the Oakheart Village isn't a town, it still has all the necessities of the town, except for the guilds, like the adventurer guild, warrior guild, mage guild and etc. that is located in all towns of the kingdom.

That adventurer was only of the D-rank but he was the strongest adventurer living in our village. He always boasted of the trap he made to catch a rabbit when he was just 5 years old. He didn't know if his trap was really effective or not, but it never hurt to try.

Ronald crept behind the bushes slowly, and after some time he finally found a lone rabbit eating some red berries. He used his new skill on it.

"Yes, a level 1.", Ronald said with excitement in his voice as he had found the lowest level of rabbits in this area. He doesn't want to confront some higher level ones because he doesn't have any experience in hunting them and he might die because of it. So he was hoping in his heart that he would find a low-level rabbit, and it seems luck was on his side as he found a level 1 rabbit. As rabbits are the lowest level creature in this forest, they tend to develop a skill that made them level up fast by just eating. So there aren't many level 1 rabbits in the forest, as plants that bear edible food are abundant. Though they may level up fast, their highest level was only ten. So it wasn't a threat to other beast living in the forest. It just made them harder and trickier to catch.

Ronald hurriedly hid behind the bushes and started digging in a clearing behind the bushes. He slowly dug a hole in the ground to not alert the rabbit and retrieved two identical wooden planks, that had wooden sticks inserted on one side on both ends of each plank, on his inventory. Then he arranged it to act as a door of the hole and connected some strings to it to hold the door when there is no weight on top of it. Then put some berries on top of the door that will tempt the rabbit to step on it.

The overall appearance of the trap was a trap door where it will open once something step on it then closes when the weight was removed. He had made the trap for more or less 20 minutes.

Ronald did a last look on the trap and test the doors to see if the trap is working. After doing this he climbed up on a tree beside the trap and waited there.
