Divine Beast Tamer

The next day morning, Ronald woke up early. After eating and cleaning himself. He prepared to leave to gather some herbs, as this was his daily routine.

But before he stepped out of his house, he suddenly remembered that he didn't need to do that now, as he was an adult and had received an amazing skill.

"Luna, are you there?", Ronald said with expectations as he wants to be sure that what happened yesterday wasn't a dream.

"You're so loud, I'm still sleeping." Luna berated him in an annoyed tone.

"Oh, I'm sorry.", Ronald said with sincerity.

Luna sighed and said, "I guess, I will accept your apology as you are sincere."

"By the way what did you wake me up for?"

"I just want to be sure that what happened yesterday wasn't a dream. Also, I want to know what you want to tell me yesterday before you change my occupation."

"Oh, I almost forgot. I just told you my name and purpose yesterday and not on how I would guide you. So where should we start? Hmm... I guess let's start with how am I going to guide you."

Ronald just listened to her as she speaks, and just waited for her to continue.

"So, first, yesterday while I am changing your occupation, I also modified and add something in your status screen in order to properly guide you. You may not notice it but there are other tabs now besides your status screen. Now try checking it again. "

Ronald followed her instructions and checked his status screen carefully. And after some time he saw what Luna said. Above the status screen, there are words that appeared. from left to right: Status-Quest-Inventory-Lottery

As Luna saw that Ronald had found what she said she then continued to explain, "The status tab is where you view your status screen, now for the new things. The Quest tab is where you can view your quest. Quests are the task or missions I issued in order to guide you. Completing this quest will grant you rewards such as items, skill book, experience, etc. The quantity and quality of the rewards always depend on the difficulty of the quest. Quests are classified into three: the main quest, the side quest, and the situational quest. The main quest is where I issued the main task that you need to complete without fail, failure in this task may result in punishments, such as, losing of experience and worst, losing of levels. Next would be the side quests, this quest is an optional one, as you may complete it or you may not. Though this quest gives small rewards, it is still an important part of the quest tab as this is where you can gain smaller rewards that may be helpful to you in completing the main quest. Lastly, the situational quest. This quest is quite unpredictable as it would be generated when something unexpected appeared before you. By the way, this quest isn't governed or issued by me. As for the one who governed or issued it, you didn't need to know now. You can try and view your quest tab now as I had already issued some task in it."

Listening to Luna's explanation Ronald became excited. He followed her instruction and view his quest tab.

Pressing the quest tab mentally, another screen appeared above the status screen.

Title: Get stronger

Description: In order to tame strong beast you must first become strong. Raise your level to 10.

1. Kill your first beast.

Reward: 50 exp

Ronald was delighted as many adults said to him that leveling is hard, though it made humans achieved stronger strength faster. It still needs you to make an effort as leveling in the later levels are very hard as the experience required to level up is massive. This side quest gives him a way to solve the issue. If he completed every quest then his leveling speed will be faster than any human.

As Luna saw Ronald became elated, she continued. "Let's move on to the next tab, which is the inventory. Now open your inventory."

As Ronald pressed the inventory tab mentally another screen replaced the menu screen.

It was a screen with many boxes in it. The boxes are arranged in a 4x5 manner. 4 columns x 5 rows.

"The inventory is composed of two different storages; the item storage and beast storage. The one you are seeing now is the item storage. As you can see there are boxes in there. This boxes can be used to store items. Same items will be grouped together in one box or slot with a maximum quantity of 99, but this rule didn't apply to weapons and armors. They will take 1 slot each, as for those armors or weapon that are equipped in a pair, then this pair will only take one slot and not two. Also, please always remember that you can't store something that is breathing." Luna said with a stern tone.

"And why is that?" Ronald asked with curiosity.

"It is because your inventory tab uses space-time magic to create small dimensions in the void and in there, no air can be found and also time stops moving. As the one who created this magic has a very strong strength and understanding about space and time, you didn't need to worry that your items will be lost in the void as the space-time magic that created this is very stable even if void storms happen in the area near you storage dimensions. It wouldn't be damaged. And as for the beast storage, it will be generated by the number of the beast you have. As you have no tamed beast as of now, beast storage won't be generated, as different beast needs a different type of environment. " Luna said as she assured that nothing would happen to the items.

"Okay, I will always remember that.", Ronald answered her question seriously as

"Lastly would be the Lottery tab. It is the tab created as an encouragement for you to challenge strong beast stronger than yourself, as this tab acts like a lottery wheel which has cards with the reward written on it. Rewards can be items, skills, or even beast. This lottery will use tickets to have a chance to rotate the wheel. And tickets will only drop if the being you killed is stronger than you. The chance of dropping will be proportionate to how many times the beast is stronger than you. Try opening it."

Ronald mentally pressed the lottery tab.

Then a new screen replaced the inventory screen. This screen has a huge wheel in it, with another two wheels in the interior. Each wheel has cards of different colors attached to it. From the center to the outer wheel there is a pointer which is positioned perpendicular to the ground, and at the bottom most part of it was a square with the word start.

"This cards with different colors represent the grade of the item you are getting; blue - normal, green - uncommon, violet - rare, orange - epic, red - legend and lastly black which represents that you received nothing. But don't worry as there are only one of this black cards on each wheel. By the way, the rewards written on the cards will change every week. So if you by any chance want something specific which is on the wheel, you must first stockpile your tickets then spend it on one try. As for the reward for accepting me, I will give you one free spin. Now mentally pressed the start button at the bottom of the wheel."

Ronald followed what Luna instructed and mentally pressed the start button. Then the three wheels turned in different directions with different speed. The outermost wheel turned to the right, the wheel in the middle turned to the left, and then lastly the centermost wheel turned to the right. After some time the wheel stopped. And then the three cards where the pointer pointed got out of the wheel. Then the wheel vanished and the three cards appeared in the screen with words in them.

On each weel the chance of getting red is 1%, orange is 5%, violet - 10%, green is 15%, blue is 69%, and black cards only have 1 or 2 cards each wheel. So based on those probabilities, you have quite a great luck as you got 2 violet cards and the only one black card in the centermost wheel." Luna said with a teasing tone.
