An Ton's Journey

Feeling the slimy texture of the growth below the ground with my force, I was reminded about a colony of my people travelling somewhere out there in the space.

Ehh, how good would it be for me to reunite with them. Eh... I should somehow contact system...

" Ughh " I felt incredibly strong pain, as I attempted to think about system.

It immediately forced me to think about something else, as I forgot about what I was thinking about.

" Ugh.. Fucking headache. "

" Where was I? "

Ah. yes, I arrived at the underground tunnels, and followed the growth, flying without touching it.

I noticed that this structure heavily resembles creep, but it's definitely different, as it builds upon surfaces without digging in and converting it. Is it some kind of underdeveloped zerg kind that for some reason can only develop inside already living organisms, converting them.

Zerg, unlike these guys were devourers, not converters. At least at their basic nature.

Well, zerg are extinct now, as I know. Zeoss, or Zetoss are much more than just that. Sadly, they are far away. really far away. But closer than before I left OP.

Sadly, I can't really feel their distance from me and can only guess based on hive connection strength.

* Kiyaah *

Came the sound of a monstrosity rushing at me from my right, tearing through the wall that was covering another part of the tunnel.

This monstrosity, shouting like screeching little girl tried hugging me with it's claws and chomp my head out, was on the receiving end of force blast that buried it deep into the wall, as in the distance I could feel that mutants went outside and began massive invasion, creating chaos everywhere. should I go up ...

Nah, now that I'm not really in 'stealth' mode, I rushed through the tunnels, depending on emanating orders of the obelisk.

All the attempts at stopping me might've worked in few days, when it would cover the whole city, capturing and changing everyone, forcing me to fight against thousands upon thousands of heavily regenerative enemies.

Arriving at one point, I knew that obelisk was above me, In the building swarming with enemies.

" Well, if I would've been an anime protagonist, or my previous self, I would've either left or fought my way through... "

" But I'm not one. And I think, it would be really stupid to do it in fair way "

I said to myself while I went outside and checked for the main holding points of the skyscraper. Sadly, it was reinforced, so it would be a little harder...

Force, unlike anything else, could be directly controlled at any point in the are if it's influence, allowing me to just continuously destroy walls from the inside, as I really wanted it to look epic.

What? I too wanted a show, even if it would be done by myself.

After some time, as I was doing it while being inside my capsule that I took back long ago, invisibility was again making it's usefulness show itself.

Flying right by the side if the building, looking at bypassing infected that were surrounding this place to fight me, was really exhilarating.

I didn't feel that good for a long time. But now I could do anything I Want!! Destroying supporting beams and walls from the inside was not fun, but I enjoyed doing it while being right under enemy's nose.

Sound of wall cracking was heard.

" Oh. whoops, I've done it. "

" I better get away and watch it from afar. "

Getting away, I was watching how skyscraper began leaning on the side and fell down, felling couple of buildings around it.

Obviously, dust covered most of the process for my eyes, but I didn't really need it.

Though, I preferred looking to feeling everything, no matter how good and useful it was. I was just used to looking and seeing with my eyes.

Like, I don't think that it would be fun to lose sight again... Ok I'm getting distracted.

Obelisk.

Flying around, I saw how it was still fine and strong, unlike most of the infected that were either crushed or stuck below the rubble.

Lifting it up with the force, I approached it and began looking and scanning it and it's appearance.

" WHAT ARE YOU? "

i felt it screeching in a way that could only be felt or heard inside the head, not from outside.

Like it was imitating thoughts in my head.

" I'm not what " I replied in the same way, but using force and began crushing obelisk, as I saw army approaching in some flying cars.

" NOOO! DON'T YOU DARE DISCONNECT!!! .." it shouted with all its leftover strength. Looking at the approaching ships falter at that shout, almost crashing, I surmised that humans don't really have capacity to resist or understand it.

From my memories, only visions and some things were shown to aizek, not an intelligent dialogue. Especially not in such an agressive way.

As I crashed obelisk, all the movement from the infected stopped. I, not willing to leave this thing to be reconstructed, I dusted it to powder, while I flew away and left the place where I saved this place from inevitable destruction.

As for the tunnels full of flesh church and Aizek, I will see how things progress from now own.
