An Ton's Journey

Chapter 82 - Meeting

* Kaboom *

* Crash * * Clang *

" Fucking fuċk! " I said, as my seventh attempt failed and it was the biggest explosion as of yet, disabling all the tech with intense magic release.

Wait? so, intense and random release of magic could disable the tech... I could use it.

~ Third person perspective ~

In a lab, you could see disheveled Anton, whose hair were standing up like he was some kind of crazy scientist, as he began reviewing his failure. This time, he miscalculated the energy needed and placed too much magic while inscribing the enchantment, making it unstable and it exploded.

Previously, he had the same type of mistake two times, but at different parts of it.

Enchantment was not easy for a reason, especially if you change the form of a container for enchantment. And Anton was beginning to think that he should just use cauldrons and just wrap them in some better looking shell...

At the time while he was deciding about his next method, Edward Newgate was approaching his Island, as it was the place of meeting, but Edward decided to arrive earlier, not really having anything to do... And he had to check the place first, he didn't really believe everything.

* Bom *

As Edward was sailing closer, his ship hit the invisible wall, as a ripple spread through the air in a spherical form.

~ First person ~

* Ding dong *

" Oh? Who is it? " I asked the computer that was based on simple protoss base support system, without any AI capabilities.

" Oh? He is early. ... "

" And I'm tired, let's meet him " I said to myself, moving my hair to be perfectly combed and cut them with my fingers, growing back to look ok.

* Whoosh *

* Pop *

~ Third person perspective ~

As Anton appeared with a * Pop *, he attracted attention of people on the ship, and as he waved his hand, shield became partially visible, opening a hole in it.

" Come in. I didn't think anyone would get here two weeks before the time.n" Anton said, as Whale ship moved in.

Crew of the ship were surprised, as right as they passed the shield, they could see a huge Port that was previously not visible.

" MWAHAHAHAHA " Came the sound of heavy laughter, source being the old man himself.

" I never saw them so surprised " He smiled, looking around in wonder.

" Well, it's really unusual for you guys. But it is just a peak of the iceberg" Anton said.

" Hm? What do you mean by that? " asked one of people around.

" It means that it is just a small part of possibilities. I still didn't achieve the full capacity. There are a lot to do" I replied, as they docked to the port, as Androids arrived and helped with docking.

" Oh? There are more people? I thought you said that you had not enough hands? " Asked Edward.

" But they definitely look strange " He continued, looking at the androids carefully.

" You have a sharp eye, even as you grew old... Yes, they are different. " Anton replied, as every android turned on edwards direction at the same time and said in unison : " There are a lot you don't yet understand. "

This surprised everyone, some even armed themselves, good reaction.

" We will talk later. Let me show your accomodation and we will talk more. " Anton said and led them to the skyscraper that was actually buried so deep, that only it's top 5% floors were above ground.

As almost all the people were working on ship, not many followed Anton as he led them to the receptionist who continued the tour, as Anton went to talk with Edward in much more quiet place. Somewhere, where no one would hear them.

In his lab ...

Yes, he still needed to make a pensieve to show him. So, he had to make one with already existing form... Cauldron.

" Edward, I didn't expect you so soon, so, wait a bit until I finish " Anton said and proceeded to enchant the cauldron, making Newgate to look at the process with interest, while drinking Wine that he brought with him.

Whitebeard's personality at his current age was pretty amiable and he was worth the trust. As Anton concentrated on enchantment, he didn't pay any attention to anything else.

" Oufff " Anton breathed out in relief, obviously without any sweat coming out... he isn't human for such ineffective process to be supported.

" So, what is this thing? " Whitebeard asked, towering above Anton with empty bottle.

" This will allow me to show you some of my memories. Otherwise it would be practically anyone to believe me. I don't believe that words and my technological advancements would be good enough for people. " Anton said, taking pensieve and carrying it to the outside.

" How will this thing do it? I didn't understand anything you've done to it. " Edward said, scratching his wound.

" This is based on magic. I won't elaborate much more, but it is impossible to replicate for anyone except me. Now, as you arrived first. Would you like to see what I know about the enemy that I talked about? " Anton asked, placing pensieve in the open.

" Hmm... what would be required of me? And what are the dangers of it? " He asked, as some of his guys approached him.

" You would have to place your face inside the water after I place memories inside. It's not really dangerous, but you could feel some discomfort by the process itself " Anton said, waving his hand and filling the big cauldron with water. After that, and couple of additional spells, he proceeded to place a finger to his head.

" Do you agree to see it now? "

" Yes, let's do it " Edward replied even after protests from his 'kids'.

" After I take it out, just slowly submerge your face in it. " Anton said while taking couple of wisps from his head and placing them in the cauldron.

As Edward submerged his head, his world changed. He felt himself inside the memories, memories about Borg.

He saw parts about it from movie, knowledge from Q, from system, and possible predictions about future. He was a little uncomfortable being smaller than usual, but it was just a minor discomfort.

" Pwah " Edward lifted his head after some time, breathing in, while he was covered in respiration from the knowledge he received.

" Is this all a reality? " He asked, looking stressed.

" Sadly. Yes. Most probably, my information is outdated, they might have anything else, but it is what I currently know. " Anton replied, as Whitebeard's crew members began asking questions.

" Do we even have a chance? " He asked.

" We might, everything depends on how many there are and how good the shield around the planet is. " Anton replied. ' And if the being that I felt would interfere '…

" Shield? " He was asked.

" Yes, I can't show you this memory for now, but planet is covered by an invisible shield that is extremely strong. Also, seawater here have some kind of power to resist any energy. "

~ First person ~

After having a long talk with Edward, I went to sleep. After enchanting big sized cauldron, I was pretty tired from the concentration that was needed. Magic amount was not really taxing.

It's thinking that was hard. I forgot how it is to seriously concentrate on something and go for it for a long time. All last weeks were me thinking, planning and trying to remove ridiculous ideas I had from these plans, as my approach to marines suffered because of it. Yea, bad idea just appearing there, even as a show of force. Well, what's done is done.

~ At another place ~

Marine Admirals and higher command were arriving back at HQ to discuss the information and the man who damaged their reputation by barging in and leaving like nothing happened.

It was decided that he would be placed on a poster, with extremely dangerous note. Many people who were not on site at that time though that Marines on sight were just bad, and didn't want to listen to nonsense spouted by Sengoku or Garp, who were sent away from HQ because they were undesired in there, for now.

Sengoku and Garp, on the other hand, were being followed by many officers and simple marines who were there and heard the news that were forbidden to talk about. Anyone who was not satisfied with current government went with them, or at least tried to move out from HQ as fast as they could.

As this 'Forbidden' information spread across marines, not many really believed in it. Sadly, but people who knew Garp and Sengoku personally, decided to pay more attention to it, as these two old timers were not ones to lie. They were trustworthy, even though no-one knew why they believe in it. Source of information was not really truthfully known.

~ Back to mc ~

Waking up, I ate, drank, and went to the enchantment room to continue working on the Pensieves.

Passing hy people, I could see and hear their fear. Especially when I approached the room itself.

~ small time skips ~

In the next few days, others were arriving, while I mainly was working bon different sized Pensieves, as OP world had too much different people, and I don't know if making pensieve for giants is really possible. Some limitations exist for increase in size, so... I tried, making an explosion when energy couldn't travel fast enough to all the parts.

Yep, it should've been momentary, but with current design it doesn't include necessary parts to increase size to such degree, so I just dropped that idea and went back to normal Pensieves.

After that, as more and more people were arriving, everyone tried to talk to me, so I placed a guard saying that I would be available at the end of the day, and I was working.

Every day, new people arrived and I met them in the night, after finishing more memory sharing devices.

Currently, three days before the meeting date, I finally finished the last planned pensieve. Hundred.

In total, Hundred cauldrons covered by the good looking protective shell, as it is sėnsɨtɨvė thing and many people here could accidentally break it by just sitting on the side and holding it's side with some strength.

~ First Marines arrive ~

~ Third person perspective ~

Luckily to Anton, Marines began arriving only two days before the appointed date and he could explain to everyone that this place forbids fighting. How? Well... Constant observation of all parts of the island and it's surroundings, robots, cameras, shield generators, tasing weaponry and other ways that not only include forcing the peace.

Marines, right before arriving, sent a ship where Sengoku, Garp, and some other old men ( mostly ) were placed. You could see that this crew could be called one of the strongest crews that marines have, as almost everyone there had the strength of VICE-ADMIRAL, or at least commodore.

~ First person perspective ~

Arriving at the incoming Marine Ship, I saw a congregation of crude, harsh old men and women.

Looks like they all had a lot of experience in this job.

" Welcome to the Meeting island, Everyone. " I said, looking how Garp and Sengoku were standing on the other side of the ship and looking at all the pirate ships around. They might've not expected this much.

Oh, well...

~ Another, unknown person's perspective ~

Arriving at the port, Marine veterans could see ridiculous number of high ranked people, while on the ships in the distance, they could see all the crews of the said pirates. On the island itself, only important officers were released, otherwise no island would be able to hold that much people in check without anyone getting hurt.

Placing Marines and Pirates in one place was risky, but it was really necessary to understand that they had bigger enemy, and their small dislikes were not relevant.

All new arrivals were going through the Pensieves, as the number of them was ridiculous and some even had to go in once again, just to believe in what they saw.

Atmosphere on the island was grim and joyous at the same time. Everyone saw what is coming, and they wanted to distract themselves from it, while they still can.

Some didn't believe, and began resisting the information, as it was too hard to accept. So, a group of nonbelievers appeared.

Well, as expected, There would be people who won't just believe everything, especially as it is unrealistic to them. They didn't even know about any life put there, and now they have to accept that they are, most likely, doomed? Heck no!

As people were converging on to the main plaza, where heads of different crews would be discussing the future of the world, Anton's sensors caprured one certain man approaching, while being slowly followed by Marine army. Looking at it like that might make the man look like he is with them, but he was moving much faster, approaching our position with extremely high speed.

* Whoosh * * Plop *

Man appeared beside Sengoku, telling him something quietly.

~ MC's perspective~

This man was none other than Kizaru. Light monkey, fastest person in the world and one of the more troublesome beings in this world. He was faster than me, if he stop trying to control his speed. But at his current processing power, his brain is limiting his strength by an insane amount.

" Ladies and gentlemen. It seems that it won't be a peaceful meeting, Marine Headquarters sent army here and they don't want to listen, so we will have to excuse ourselves, we will move ourselves out. " Sengoku loudly said, looking apologetic.

" You don't need to. really. Sengoku could you bring marine army representative here, when they arrive? " I asked, looking at him.

" Don't worry. They wouldn't dare to attack, they are not that stupid " Said Edward Newgate, sitting at his huge chair.

" Why do you need them? They won't listen " Sengoku asked, as Kizaru just leaned on the wall and lit some kind of cigarette.

"At least I should try. Now, Kizaru. Are you here as their representative, or you decided to join the meeting? Either way, if you want to know why we are here - go to the Garp, he would explain" I said.

This meeting was not long in process, right after I proposed a way to enchant their strength, Marine fleet arrived close enough to see them physically. No longer hidden by horizon.

" So, let's talk to our new guests " Edward stood up, leading people to meet Marines that were coming.

~ Third and first person mixed view ~ (Who is it? who is watching ? lol )

After that, came 'negotiations'... Marines demanded for me to be handed over and this meeting disbanded, otherwise all admirals would begin hunting everyone down, and not many people were capable of fighting off admiral, especially when specifically targeted by them.

Not many agreed to stay, they had no real reason to, but some big guys with enough strength and pride decided to stay.

After standoff of Many hours, a random shot was fired by nervous marine who was ordered to wait for command to shoot. And as nervous wreck that he was, he fired first shot.

From that point, battle began with one of Marine fleet fleeing the scene, as they had no strength to fight all the big names that stayed.

And no, no-one decided to meet me. They just demanded me to give myself up. Arrogantly.

After that, with people that were still on the island, we continued the meeting.

As the result, only after seeing successful enchantment will people agree to be enchanted. Well, obviously they provided willing people, who were brave and trustworthy enough.

Taking some blood from them, I left to the lab, where probes took some of my blood and proceeded to create the serum. Yes, I had to build science Division probes, so I wouldn't have to do it by myself. Every case required a little different procedure, so it took time.

After half an hour, all the syringes were ready and injected in the first volunteers.

Obviously, I said that it would be painful, but in hindsight I should've warned that pain would wary depending on person. Especially with such variety of people.

Yep, an attempt at getting hit in the face stopped by Force... Was the result of one of them shouting from pain.

After first batch, I proceeded to lab and continued providing blood into the containers, as it would be required for conversion.

Obviously I emitted the hive connection part, as it would not appear at first. As Luffy and hus crew were first test subjects and still were not really connected to the hive. And should I call it hive? Or Khala? Khive? lol. I better choose different name to my species too.

Prog...or Prorg fuċkɨnġ idiot I am...

Zetoss sounds better and nobler... but I should think about name at another time. Currently I will have to produce thousands upon thousands personalized serums.

I ordered for more Lab probes to be made. It won't take much time and would simplify the process. Sadly My involvement in the serum creation is a must. One way, or another.

Looking at the world map, while getting my blood drained and replenished, eating a sandwich with beef slices, I began comparing it to the map that I got from satellites and understood one interesting thing. This paper map is wrong in so many parts, that this should be called a sketch. Not a map.

So much unmapped islands, so much wrong details, and no information about any underwater or above water settlements. Skyiopea. Fishmen Kingdom. And many other places.

What was detailed is grand line islands, even though not all of them were fully correct. But what do I know? Maybe some islands are changing with time, or move...

Yea, some of them move slowly like a turtle.
