An Ton's Journey

So, upgrading.

huh.

What is currently available for me is kind of familiar, and different at the same time.

For the Hull :

[ Body optimization ] : Rebalances your body depending on your needs and upgrades made after last optimization.

Can be balanced for speed, for attack, for defense and for many other things.

Does not make much difference at earlier upgrade stages.

[ Energy generation ] : 1000 minerals per level.

Each level adds new layers to the existing energy core. Can be upgraded up to lvl 1000 for each core. Can not be created with higher lvl immediately, as energy emitted by the generator on lvl 0 is maximum that can be created at once without risk of massive explosion. Upgrading adds new layers and increases energy output gradually, what allows for gradual upgrade process. Have a limit for stable core.

[ Psi energy core ] Upgrades are yet unavailable, system researching current technology line.

[ Vision upgrade ] 0/10 : 1000 minerals, last three upgrades- 3k, 5k, 10k respectively.

Adds lenses for first five levels allowing to look extremely close, extremely far, extremely wide, and extremely high and extremely clear. ( in any weather ). last three are different types of vision. types are not known until purchased.

[ Shield upgrades ] : catalogue of different shield upgrades possible. Some of them can not be done simultaneously, so choose wisely.

[ Ring upgrades ] : collection of different upgrades Available for the ring, some of them are crucial to get access to other upgrades.

[ Side Body add-ons ] : unavailable with current ring modification.

[ Engine upgrades ] : Includes upgrades for engine, making in have lower energy requirements, higher maximum speed, acceleration rate, turn rate, deceleration rate, burst speed increase, overclock mode installation and much more.

[ Manipulators upgrades ] : Includes modifying manipulators for increasing energy density, flexibility, control. Includes upgrades for changing inner structure for different tasks, changing them to have different uses and can even get access to different type of manipulators, as string like manipulators are deemed not very efficient with your current mind set, as you can not get used to them and have to control them manually, not instinctively.

[ Miscellaneous upgrades ] : includes recolouring, adding flashlights or other small not structural stuff.

[ Other upgrades are being researched ] : Wait until System can procure more upgrades. System need time for researching and planning.

"phew..." I release mentally as sign of tiredness.

That is surprisingly different.

First of all, my body is stronger then even Nexus's, so making it tougher is not required.

But energy might be a good idea, as last time My shield was not really that useful.

Also I better change my circle's addons. They are worse then I imagined. Yes, cannons can shoot pretty strong, and mini Pylons can create and deliver enough energy for them, but I expected to also be able to generate energy field.

So, I took current guns off, and after a little bit of thinking decided to make four little flying drones out of them. Those drones will have slots to connect and hide in the corners of my body, as more rectangular body is less conspicuous, and I don't really care about looking like a protoss probe.

( imagine this drone as Pylon on the back, one sharp point pointing to the back and other pointing to the cannon itself. Pylon is connected to cannon by levitating parts at their connection points. Resembling observers. )

Each drone would have it's own simple AI that would follow my commands and orders. I would be able to take them in to the manipulators for manual use, but it will hardly happen.

Each modificated drone, connection port with their own little hangar and a door, were added for 25k each. They are made from the same material as me, so they are extremely durable.

Now, that I added some miscellaneous stuff, like being able to stick to metals using very strong magnets, extremely strong flashlights that would be able to blind most of the species, classic connection ports for this world's technology and most importantly special device that allows me to use holo net from almost any place in the known universe, I have 401k minerals left.

And you know, they even have their own stories, films, books and other stuff on the holo net. It seems I will finally be able to enjoy my time without a care.

War will be taken care by the Fenix and others, growing Protosses would be taken care by council, and technological advancements, research and restoration - by smiths.

Finally I will not have to get my nose in this shit out of boredom.

You know, making a garden is good and stuff, but being unable to feel plants, smells, touch and other stuff makes it less enjoyable. I miss taste of food.

what can be done with it?

Oh i see!! I will convert them to something semi - stationary.

"Helper! what can be done to this ring sticks? I want any kind of semi stationary stuff that would keep me safe and I could stay under it's protection." I asked the one that I should've asked for any suggestions even before looking at possibilities.

" There are many possibilities, but the best one within 400k would be this : " He said while showing it on the [ Modification Station ]'s screen.

[ Pyramid/crystal - like shield array ] : 10k/50k/100k/250k minerals. There are other more pricey versions, but you don't have enough for them.

This array changes ring into pyramid - like protection structure using ring parts as shield emitters. They would emit shield to the sides, not to the front, as material itself, covering them, being 1 molecule thick, is stronger then Shields themselves need no protection. Inner part are not made out of it, so after shield is broken and not restored, it closes to protect inner structure.

10k minerals version straightens parts and creates normal protoss shield, except it will be stronger as it is not emitted as a sphere. Maximum size of shield is one meter to the sides from each part.

50k version increases length of each part to the longest size of your current body, 69cm, changes connection points to the longest side. ( Currently it is top part, as main body currently looks like rectangle with top part slanted down to the front, for better look and aerodynamic... jk, for making body look less ugly and still have inconspicuous look). Allows creation of stronger shield because it. can be connected in pyramid form and have a connection while protecting you, while cheaper version will have emitters separated. Maximum size of shield is two meters from each side.

100k one: creates extension for each part to be able to extend up to 1m in length. Maximum size of shield is four meters to each side. Shield is stronger and works like immortals shield.

Well. it looks like good stuff. I will be practically a fortress with those specs. Wow. it is much better for current price, it seems when tech is available, it is only price for material and energy oriented stuff.

What? you expected me to upgrade myself? why? I have a hull with such insane durability that I don't care for anything and this ring is so FCKING ANNOYING. It is extremely inconvenient with it active and extremely unbalanced while it is on me.
