An Ton's Journey

When I looked at my personal upgrades and modifications, I saw something that made me curse at it in my head.

{ All previous upgrades are annuled }

All previous upgrades are registered as obsolete, inefficient, wasteful. After upgrading [ Modification Station ], System was restructured, new possibilities are available.

Added new help function. It will use [ Knowledge Stream ] and help to get information easier. Highly advanced program that is created by unknown means.

Probe form is obsolete, recommended to change basic form.

Main Probe structure can be decreased in size and optimized.

Detected necessity to have it as part of the form.

Searching for form types.

Available forms include synthetic and technological forms.

Main categories:

- Humanoid(locked)

- Universal (locked)

- Modular

...

Mixed forms are possible.

Woah wtf. Isn't it protoss system? What is it now? Helper? why? I finally can get another form YES!!!!

I hope I can get feelings back. It is pressing on me. This absence of feelings.

Ohh how I want to feel touch, I already forgot how it is - to feel, smell etc.

Humanoid is not yet available, and it says that It will require some super advanced tech to get humanoid body, but why can't I get simple humanoid one? Wtf!?

Universal is not explained at all. Just universal, and helper can not say much about it.

Modular is for big body types. Like really big! I don't want to be spaceship... or tank...

Robotic it is.

Reconstructing myself took some time, and now my size is half a meter in diameter. And it is longest diameter, as I am not really a perfect circle...

The body that I chose for now, can not really be called a body. It should be called add-on in my opinion.

I don't know why, but my manipulators can not get to the previous length, so I decided to upgrade it and while I searched for I, I found my previously mentioned add-on.

Instead of increasing manipulator length, It creates interconnected lines like in manipulator rings and uses manipulators to hold the ring. It requires rings to be removed, but makes them into one net that allows me to use manipulators from any side of my body.

The ring is outside my body and can be modified in many ways. But Main ring part is awesome by itself. It allows me not to just hover, but even fly. It can not let me get out of orbit by myself, but I can get pretty high.

Also, what interested me in choosing this one, is that it's modifications are pretty all encompassing.

I even can become small death star ehehe...

Maybe not yet, but in the future, someday...

Even though It is robotic upgrade, it can be used with other types of forms at later points because it does not connect directly to my body.

With add-ons I can install guns, new parts connected to it and even hand and legs...

I don't know why this option is in there, because it will look ridiculous having legs or hands on a flying circle around the sphere...

Whoops, my thoughts travelled too far.

So I installed the ring, and the first add-on to it allows it to disconnect in couple of places and enclose me in it, and peculiarity in it is that now my ring is now made from eight parts that are connected by some kind of energy or shield.

This form gave me idea that I could use these parts separated from each other, but it is not possible for me now. Helper recommended me not to try doing this as it will be extremely hard to control, especially considering that I am not used to normal form yet.

After this I got four small photon cannons for my ring for protection, and four small energy banks that I will need if I ever would want to use any abilities in the future.

I will have to save energy from templar or any other user if it.

All those upgrades were just ten million to research and create.

Mostly research, as parts and construction were just ten thousand minerals.

Now It is time to get myself big robot costume. As this protection ring can work as connector to the tech, it will make connecting easy.

My choice for now fell on to the fast flying ship, It require vespene and As tomorrow I will ask for some, I will be able to finish it.

Researching stuff costs too much, but I got myself futuristic looking arbiter body, the only thing unfinished now is engine as it requires vespene. Also, I will need to ask smiths if they had any progress with finding out how light speed engine is made. As it might be better then protoss made ones.

Maybe they could even combine those technologies in something much much better.

Ouf. Now that I spent fifty more millions on Arbiter body, that even have ability to be controlled from inside and have a living space in it, it is time to get myself walking costume, as I don't remember flying droids in this universe and I don't want to get in trouble from this.

hmm. Maybe dragoon-like body? or maybe something less strange? hmm.

After thinking about it, I decided to talk with smiths and consult with them about it.

"Hello hello, how are you guys? " I came inside their main forge that was created to be so big, that it almost as high as Nexus.

" Ooh, Executor, welcome, what can we do for you?" Asked one of the high ranking smiths.

" Oh, you understood who am I? how?" I asked with surprised voice as I wanted to surprise them.( and it failed )

" Oh, Executor, Sir, we would always know where you are, you emit special kind of energy that we all can feel. The same energy we emit, but yours feel special.

" Oh wow, that is good to know. But is it some kind of psi energy? or what? is it bad? can everyone feel it? " I asked frantically and happily with hopes of using protoss abilities.

" Hmm, it seem we can not tell much about it. Strange. Something stops us from trying to help and want to research it. But yes, it is close to ours but at the same time - different." He silently explained with a little bit troubled expression.

" And you don't have to worry, most probably no one except us, protoss can feel it as it is strongly resemble our connection." He finished trying to not look troubled.

" oh. ok" Came my stupid reply...

" So, why are you here? " Smith continued to stop the uncomfortable silence.

" Oh, yes But please could you get more smiths to listen to me, because I need some recommendations." I replied with hurried voice

After he called more smiths and we all moved to more comfortable place. They sat down and I just comfortably placed myself on big couch while placing my ring on the floor.

" I have a couple of questions and the first one is - what would you recommend for me to use as my travel form? " I said after explaining what I understand about this world and my thoughts.

The result was not really surprising and we decided to look at terran technology because there were almost no knowledge of this worlds norms.

When I asked about pricing of my body, they were surprised by its cost, so they made a couple of Tests on my rings shell. And the result was that they did not know the material that it was made from.

Protoss mostly reduce pricing on mass produced stuff by reducing material use and such stuff, hut my ring is thought to me made from material much better then they use and extremely densely packed at that.

So conclusion is - best materials, construction, and tech of the best quality for the price.
