A Twilight Promise

It's already been three years Yuuki returned to Hoshido. Not to mention that Ryujii is also working hard on his studies.

His last year in his university life is not even boring at all, he has Yuuki with her all the time. They lived together after receiving blessings from both families. Their survival is already a miracle itself, not mentioning about the both of them being together.

They were busy over the past few months, it's finally a vacation for both of them. They decided to travel to Yoru and visits the shrine there. On the way, it was raining until they entered Yoru, which oddly stopped when they entered the highway.

They got down their car and started climbing the stairs heading to the shrine. A lady walked up to them. "Hello, I'm Ayaka Saotome, a journalist from Akari News. May I ask you some questions?" The lady asked politely.

The couple agreed and accepted the interview. She asked some odd questions about their mood, and lifestyle. She is satisfied with all the answers. "Did you have bad time together in the past?" Ayaka asked.

The two of them looked at each other, then smiled as they remembered something funny in the past. "Yes? Do you remember something? Mind sharing with us?" Ayaka said.

"We went through a long way, surviving a fatal disease, falling in love and also looking at the twilight every day together. Our bonds are strong that no one can break us apart." Ryujii said,while Yuuki buried her face in Ryujii's chest.

Ayaka is impressed. "No one can break you apart... Interesting... So there is really no way to separate the two of you?" Ayaka added. "We swore to each other that only death can do us apart." Ryujii said, Yuuki is nodding excitedly.

"What a cute couple." Ayaka said. A man shouted from behind. "Are you done yet, Dear?" A man shouted from behind. Ayaka excitedly turned back and replied. "Jun? Ah yes, I'm done now!" Ayaka bowed and then says that she will be happily attend to their wedding if they invited her.

She runs off in a hurry, leaving a name card in their hands. The two giggled and continued on praying in the shrine. They prayed for happiness and health. Which is already granted to them since the beginning. Everyone wished the two of them to remain like this forever. That is why they will live on with happiness and without regrets.

Ryujii in his internship in the same hospital as he was in several years ago, met Dr. Hiro as his supervisor. He is happy to be able to help with the cure of the disease that occurred on him before.

Time passed, Dr. Hiro and Kaori are getting married. Ryujii and Yuuki attended their wedding. They looked so lovely together. Not to mention that the Drama Club members also attended the ceremony.

At the end of the ceremony, Kaori hurled the flower bouquet in the air, some of the petals rained down, but guess who caught it?

"Kyaaaa Yuuki, congratulations!" Everyone exclaimed. Yuuki is dumbfounded, holding the bouquet and covers her embarrassed face with it. Happiness continued to overflow around them, everyone close to them gets to share the happiness too.

Yuuki joined a photography group that helps with wedding pictures, as she worked, she imagined herself in her wedding dress, along with her groom, Ryujii. Of course it's embarrassing to think about, she is constantly hiding her face behind her camera.

It's about time, Ryujii and Yuuki's wedding is now happening. Of course everyone is excited. Ryujii's parents are tearing up, while Yuuki's parents cannot hide their tears behind a happy smile.

The music started, Yuuki's father brought her daughter into the room, she looks pretty despite there is a veil covering her face. Slowly approaching to Ryujii, there is a smile underneath the veil, noticeable by looking at the shape of the red lips.

Ryujii is anxious, but excited. The day he thought will never happen, happened after several years. The vows of the lovers are once reinforced again in front of the priest.

"Kujou Ryujii, Do you take Shiroyuki Yuuki as your lawful wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?"

"I do." Ryujii replied.

"Shiroyuki Yuuki, Do you take Kujou Ryujii as your lawful Husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?"

"Yes... I do." Yuuki replied.

"The husband and wife may exchange their rings."

Ryujii gives her a ring with a moon design, while Yuuki gives him a ring with a sun design. A secret that only the two of them knows, brings them a smile of joy.

Yuuki cried due to overflowing happiness, Ryujii gives her a deep kiss, everyone in the hall looked at them enviously. They took a picture of all of them together. And there, ends their story of how they get together.

A wedding picture taken in the twilight, is this the promised ending for them? We wouldn't know, but at least, the one promise in the twilight was never once broken, and never ever will be.
