Morning came as John awoke to the young woman trying to take off his helmet. "Don't touch me." He said coldly.

She pulled her hands away. "I'm sorry!"

Shorty after, the old man's voice sounded. "We're back everyone!"

John peeked our the front of the wagon and saw a village. People came running out of there small but cosmetic looking homes and waved at the man.

"Welcome back, Hosea!"

"Hope you were fine on your way back!" He pulled the wagon to the side of a farm and his family got off and looked back into the carriage.

A little boy walked up to the young woman. "What're you looking at, Mrs. Emilia."

At that moment, John stepped off the back off the wagon and stared at the boy, who stared back at him.

The village chief ran out of his house when he heard the boy begin to cry, because it was his son. "Josh! Come here, son." He looked up and saw the black figure. "Hosea, who is this?"

The old man, Hosea walked up to John. "This is the man that saved me and my family from a bandit attack last night. He asked if we knew where a village was, so we brought him here."

The village chief stood up after sending his son inside. "It didn't occur to you he could be a bandit?"

John shook his head. "I have no need to be a bandit. I only needed to find a place to rest as my journey is starting."

The chief walked up to John and extended his hand. "Well, my names Well. What's yours?"

John took the chief's hand. "John."

Chief Well showed John to a vacant home while everyone else began to ask Hosea and his wife, Abigail, what's going on in the capital.

Hosea wasn't looking too good when they brought it up. He went to speak with the chief as soon as he left John alone.

"What do you mean they keep raising taxes?" Well rubbed his chin. He had never been too smart, but he was the best at keeping the village going.

"I mean we made less money than last year with a harvest that was much larger."

Well slammed his hand on the table. "So a larger harvest, but less money made?"

Hosea nodded. "It gets worse, we don't have enough money to pay the taxes in two months."

As their conversation continued, John received a system message.

[Quest Complete]

[Debt lowered to: 87 Experience. Rewarded 10 Gold coins and 1x rare slots ticket.]

[Would you like to use your ticket? Y/N]

John clicked yes. Immediately a screen of a slot machine appeared in front of him. Inserting the ticket, it spun for twenty seconds before stopping.

John sighed. "How's the hilt look?" Taking out the hilt, it was completely black with silver accents running through it and a silver activation buŧŧon. It fit nicely in his hands, all he needed was a Kyber Crystal.

[Main Quest Activated: Search for Completion; get a Kyber Crystal by any means necessary.]

[Rewards: 2,000 Experience, Force Lightning, 50 Gold Coins, 1x Random Reward.]

John made sure to close the crude window before removing his helmet. His tanned skin and brown hair had a little light reflecting off of it due to a crack in the ceiling.

"So I need to find a Kyber Crystal..." as John began to think about how he could do that, someone knocked at his door. He put his helmet back on and opened it to see Hosea.

"Could you come speak to the Chief?" John nodded.

As he and Hosea walked towards the Chief Well's home, some of the other villagers seemed to look at him with fear and confusion.

Walking inside, Well day at a table and John and Hosea joined him. "What do you want?" Well asked.

"What do you mean?" John replied.

"If I asked you to protect us from the tax collector and his men in a few months, what would you want?"

John looked down to the ground in thought. "What do you have?"

Well rubbed his chin. "Other than the position of Village Chief, we know of a camp of bandits who have taken some nice stuff from a city. You may be able to find stuff there, and it'll help keep bandits away."

As John thought about it, he received a system notification.

[Main Quest: To become a Chief; Kill or take control of the bandit camp and village.]

[Rewards: 400 Experience, 20 gold coins, 1x slots ticket]

John stood up and took out his vibrosword. "Can you send someone to take me to the bandits?"

Well nodded and called for someone named Kyle.

A man came into the house. "You called for me father?"

"Take our guest to the bandit camp, son. He's agreed to my terms.

Kyle nodded and motioned his giant arm for John to follow him. "We'll be back by morning tomorrow if we leave now."

John and Kyle then left the village and walked off under the rising sun.

A few hours passed as the men quietly walked to the east. "So you're the Village Chief's son?" John broke the silence.

"Yes, I was born to his first wife before she died 20 years ago." Silence fell again until Kyle spoke. "We're here."

As they walked to what looked like a ledge, John looked down and saw they were above the bandit camp. They had people, gold, and other treasures.

"Still confident?" Kyle said, chuckling quietly.

"If I didn't know better, I'd say you don't think I can do this.." John said.
