You're My Only Star

Lu Xun was having a meeting with a few of his friends when the vehicle passed by the accident scene.

He was looking out of the window when he saw the two women walked out of the vehicle. His gaze flickered the moment he recognized one of them. He immediately figured out what had happened. Lu Xun asked his assistant to stop the car at the roadside before he grabbed an umbrella and walked over to check their condition.

When he approached them, the two women were busy discussing a few things regarding the accident.

He narrowed his eyes and tried to get a closer look at the person in front of him. Once he saw her profile look, Lu Xun stopped at her side. "Song Xing Xing? Why are you here?"

The umbrella tilted slightly and Song Xing Xing looked at him in surprise. Lu Xun saw a look flashed in her eyes before it quickly faded away. Suddenly, he felt a little uncomfortable. The feeling was as if he had done something wrong, but he did not know what it was.

Liu Yu Sheng looked at the person in front of her with wide eyes. Seeing that Song Xing Xing was in a trance, she decided to step up instead. "President Lu?"

Lu Xun finally shifted his gaze towards the person next to Song Xing Xing. He seemed to recognize that this girl was working for his studio as well. In the studio, she would always sit beside Song Xing Xing. He glanced at the car and then back at the girls. "What's wrong?"

Liu Yu Sheng immediately informed him about the accident.

"Are you two alright?" Lu Xun asked. He gave Song Xing Xing a look over and breathed in relief upon seeing that she was fine.

"President Lu, we are fine." Song Xing Xing did not answer, but it was Liu Yu Sheng who spoke instead.

Lu Xun continued to look at the quiet girl. Song Xing Xing had avoided her gaze and the umbrella on the top of her head made it difficult for him to see her expression.

"It will be hard for both of you to get a ride here," Lu Xun said. "Why don't you come with me? Where are you going? I'll send you over."

"Ah?" Liu Yu Sheng exchanged a glance with Song Xing Xing before she looked at President Lu Xun again. "Would that be alright?"

"It's fine." Lu Xun recalled that it was past lunch hour and guessed that they would be returning to the studio. "You two are going back to the studio, right? Coincidentally, I am heading to the studio as well."

Liu Yu Sheng nodded. Seeing that the President had turned around towards his car, Liu Yu Sheng exchanged a few words with the driver before she tugged at Song Xing Xing's hand to follow their big boss.

Song Xing Xing was a little reluctant to go. But as she recalled the situation she was in, Song Xing Xing turned and walked with Liu Yu Sheng to the car.

Lu Xun helped them into the passenger's seat before he went to ride shotgun.

As the car started to move, Song Xing Xing took out her phone and checked at a few gossips.

Ever since Lu Xun had appeared in front of her, her heart became a little chaotic. However, she had to quickly compose herself. Song Xing Xing was still unable to forget her last meeting with Lu Xun at the hotel in Y City.

The way he was looking at her was as if she was a nuisance.

Her heart would still beat fast and her stomach would do that somersault when she saw him.

However, she was unable to tolerate it when someone thought of her that way.

It's better to forget and killed any feelings she had for him before it would get serious. Once she had fallen deeper, it would only hurt her even more.

Song Xing Xing sighed as she thought of how she had experienced the ups and down of liking someone in this short time. She had liked him, expecting for him to return her feelings, and experienced heartbreak.

When she looked up again, Song Xing Xing realized that they have arrived at the studio.

It was still raining. After thanking Lu Xun with Liu Yu Sheng, Song Xing Xing turned around and jogged into the building. As they finally arrived under the roof, their steps gradually slowed down.

"Song Xing Xing."

Her steps halted as she heard the man called out her name. Song Xing Xing turned around slowly and saw that the man took off his glasses and wiped the glass with a handkerchief.

The moment she saw him without his glasses, Song Xing Xing was a little stunned. She remembered the last time she had seen him without his glasses. He had a pair of beautiful eyes.

It was only after Lu Xun had put on his glasses did Song Xing Xing was able to snap out of her trance. "What is it?"

"You don't look too good. Are you injured?"

Song Xing Xing flashed him a smile. "I'm fine. Just a little shocked about the accident. But I'll get over it."

Lu Xun opened his mouth to ask something, but after a while, he seemed to forget what he was going to say.

"President Lu, if there's nothing else, then, I'll go ahead first."

Lu Xun had not managed to say a thing as that person had already turned around and leave. For a while, he was dumbfounded. It did not have to be a genius to know that Song Xing Xing was avoiding him.

It seemed that the last time he had seen her, Song Xing Xing was really pretending as if she had not seen him.

This is what he wanted in the first place; for this girl not to make things difficult for him. Song Xing Xing is a sister to a friend. Seeing her gaze on him and understood what they meant, Lu Xun simply did not want to face a scene where he had to reject her.

However, this time, the girl had backed off on her own. He should be relieved by this outcome. However, this unexpected situation had made him a little stunned.
