The next morning, Huo Yun Chen accompanied his wife to the hospital.

To avoid Xia Yu's colleague, Lin You had booked an appointment farther than the hospital Xia Yu had worked at.

What if the baby received the same treatment as her? What if her in-laws preferred a boy as well?

The baby came out a week earlier than scheduled. The moment her water broke, Huo Yun Chen started to panic. It was Xia Yu who had to calm him down and instructed him to get the bag and drive over to the hospital.

She spent half a day in the labor room before she finally gave birth to a healthy baby boy.

The moment Xia Yu looked at the baby, her tears came out.

It was still an unbelievable experience to give birth to another life.

Xia Yu hold the baby in her arms and thought that he was the cutest baby she had seen. His skin was still red and wrinkly. But the shape of his lips really resembled his father.

It made her wonder if her son was going to be a good singer like his father.

Perhaps, it was because of how she was treated during her childhood, but seeing the baby, Xia Yu made a promise to herself that she would look after him very well.

This baby will live in a healthy environment and had all the love that she could give to him.

"Don't cry." Huo Yun Chen tried to coax her. A thought came to his mind and he started to worry. "Is your wound hurting? Should I go and call the nurse."

"No." Xia Yu sniffled. "I just thought that the baby resembled you a lot."

Huo Yun Chen looked at the wrinkly baby and his lips started to twitch. Was his wife saying that he looked ugly?

"Huo Yun Chen, why didn't he look like me? Am I not the person who carried him for months?" Xia Yu asked. "It must be because of you. You make me look at your face too much during my pregnancy."

He looked at his wife helplessly. Although he wanted to voice his complaint and give her a logical explanation, he still remembered that his mother had told him that a woman's emotion can be a little unsteady after giving birth.

"Well, it is my fault," Huo Yun Chen decided to agree with her. "But isn't this is also a good thing? Didn't you say that you like to look at my face the most?" His voice was soft and coaxing.

Xia Yu blinked. She stared at his face for a while and sniffled again. "Well, you are indeed very good-looking." Thinking that her son would also grow up to be a good-looking person, Xia Yu was not as aggrieved. "My son will grow up and become a handsome boy."

Huo Yun Chen finally heaved in relief when he saw that his wife had stopped crying. He wrapped his arms around her shoulder as he teased the baby in her arms.
