You're My Only Star

After resting for a while, Huo Yun Chen took Xia Yu out. The couple walked around the resort enjoying the scenery in the world of two people.

There were a few people around the resort but none of them paid too much attention to the couple.

Seeing that it was almost time for his meeting with his friend, Huo Yun Chen led Xia Yu to the restaurant. The waitress led them to the private room where Huo Yun Chen's friend was waiting for him.

When they entered, a man in his thirties stood up with a big smile on his face. "Yun Chen, sister-in-law."

The smile on Xia Yu's face stiffened. She was addressed as sister-in-law the first time she met Huo Yun Chen's friend. She was a little embarrassed, but at the same time, her heart seemed to be covered with honey.

Huo Yun Chen however seemed as if he did not hear anything. He strode into the room and stopped as he reached the table. "Have you waited for a long time?"

"No. I just arrived a while ago."

Sensing that his friend was looking at his girlfriend curiously, Huo Yun Chen quickly introduced, "Xu Wen Chang, this is my girlfriend, Xia Yu." He gripped Xia Yu's waist tightly and spoke, "This is my good friend, Xu Wen Cheng. He is also the owner of this resort."

The two of them exchanged their greetings and sat down.

Xu Wen Chang had already asked the kitchen to prepare a few local specialties. After checking with the couple, Xu Wen Chang asked the waiter to send in the food and drinks to the room.

As they sat down, Huo Yun Chen and his friend began to catch up with each other and reminisce their high school memories. While drinking some wine, Xu Wen Chang told Xia Yu a few funny stories about Huo Yun Chen and revealed a side of Huo Yun Chen that Xia Yu had never heard before.

Xu Wen Chang has been in the hospitality industry for years and faced customers all the time. It was not difficult for him to get along with Xia Yu.

Initially, Xia Yu was a little worried about meeting with Huo Yun Chen's friend. But after a while, she started to feel more at ease around him.

The meal ended happily. After exchanging a few more words, Huo Yun Chen and Xia Yu returned to their room.

Xia Yu sat on the sofa and watched as Huo Yun Chen tapped his fingers on his phone. The space between his brow furrowed as he replied to his work email with a serious look on his face. He did not seem to notice that there was someone who was watching him intently.

When he finally ended his discussion with his manager, Huo Yun Chen looked up and finally realized that Xia Yu was watching him.

He slid his phone into his pocket and walked over to her side languidly.

Before he could reach her side, Xia Yu stood up and wrapped her arms around Huo Yun Chen's neck. Her eyes bore into his and it doesn't seem as if she was going to look away.

"Why are you looking at me like this?" The corner of his lips tilted up into a smile. It was rare for Xia Yu to take the initiative to be intimate with him.

The way she was looking into his eyes made his heart palpate. They were too close that he could see his reflection in Xia Yu's bright eyes. It gave him the impression as if there was nothing that Xia Yu could see other than him at this time.

"Huo Yun Chen."

"Hmm? What is it?" Huo Yun Chen chuckled when he noticed the red blush on Xia Yu's cheek. "Are you drunk?" He seemed to recall that Xia Yu had drunk a few glasses earlier. Although she did not seem drunk, Huo Yun Chen was still a little worried.

"Not drunk." Xia Yu shook her head softly. She continued to look at him as she licked her lips. "Huo Yun Chen, you are so good to me."

Xia Yu had always known that she had low self-esteem to be with someone like Huo Yun Chen. After their dating news came out and the fans started to criticize her, Xia Yu's confidence dropped.

She would think of the insults her mother had thrown at her and those words would mix with the nasty words from his fans.

But this man always made her feel better. Even though her self-esteem was still low, Xia Yu could see how Huo Yun Chen had worked hard for her.

There were half of his fans who had urged him to break up with her, but Huo Yun Chen had never tried to hide her. Instead, each time they met any of his friends or the people he had worked with, Huo Yun Chen would introduce her as his girlfriend proudly.

Her mother might not want her but Huo Yun Chen made her feel wanted.

The more she looked at him, Xia Yu had this feeling as if her heart was going to burst. She really, really liked him.

Huo Yun Chen raised a brow and a low laugh escaped him. "Xia Yu, are you trying to seduce me?"

This girl was looking at him with a pair of misty eyes and saying words that made his heart itchy. It would be a lie to say that he was not tempted.

Hearing his words, Xia Yu quickly snapped out of her trance. She released her arms around his neck to retreat, but Huo Yun Chen was quick to tighten his arms around her waist.

The two of them continued to look at each other as they enjoyed the silence between them. Their hot breaths mingled and slowly, Huo Yun Chen lowered his head to catch her lips into his.

Her tensed shoulder began to relax as Huo Yun Chen began to caress her lips with his. It was as if she was waiting for him to kiss her for a long time and finally got what she had longed for.

Xia Yu always liked the way Huo Yun Chen would kiss her slowly at first. Then gradually, their kiss turned into something deeper.

It made her head a little dizzy but the feeling was something that she could not get enough of.

Xia Yu was starting to wonder if perhaps she was addicted to his kisses.

Sensing that his girlfriend was starting to get breathless from his kisses, Huo Yun Chen finally pulled away. Xia Yu's flushed face appeared in front of him and his throat bobbed as a certain need traveled through his body.

Huo Yun Chen placed his hands on Xia Yu's thigh and lift her up, startling her.. Then, he let her sit on the table before he leaned over to kiss her again.
