You're My Only Star

After being stuck in the woods for two whole days, Huo Yun Chen finally came out with his body full of dirt. His assistant, Lin You rushed over to hand him a towel to wipe his face and then, passed him a bottle of drinking water.

Lin You watched as Huo Yun Chen drank the water with an anxious look on her face. The look on her face became impatient. Lin You turned to Brother Xiang and hoped that the manager will be able to tell Huo Yun Chen about this crisis.

"What took you so long?" Brother Xing gave Huo Yun Chen a look over. His brow furrowed upon seeing his shirt and jeans full of mud. "Are you hurt?"

"I'm fine. It was the cameraman. Somehow, he fell down and sprained his ankle. We were all trying to help him return." Huo Yun Chen wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. He raised his head to look at the manager and realized that there was something wrong with his expression.

His heart skipped a beat and it was telling him that something bad was happening.

Huo Yun Chen stood up and asked, "What happened, what are you not telling me?"

Taking a deep breath, Brother Xiang then took out his phone and handed it to Huo Yun Chen. "Two days ago, this news came out. Someone exposed your relationship with Xia Yu.

Huo Yun Chen's expression turned pale as looked at the news. He wanted to scroll down the page but realized that the thing that Brother Huo had shown to him were screenshots of the original article.

"I didn't know what was going on until someone from the agency came over to find us," Brother Xiang said. "However, you were in the wood and we could not contact you."

He looked at Brother Xiang and asked, "What about Xia Yu? How is she?"

Brother Xiang pursed his lips and did not answer. "Yun Chen, you should go and get yourself clean up. We are returning to Capital City now. President Lu will help to get a flight for us."

Huo Yun Chen knew that the situation was really bad. Although he wanted to continue and look at the news on the phone, Huo Yun Chen realized that his priority is his girlfriend.

He returned to the hotel to get change and came out again to meet with Brother Xiang in the lobby. This time, Huo Yun Chen did not even realize that he had not combed his hair.

While they were in the car, Huo Yun Chen finally have time to look at the article again. Seeing the way those people had scolded his girlfriend made his heart ache.

He was the celebrity. If people wanted to scold someone, they should be scolding him. Why would they scold Xia Yu?

His eyes narrowed as Huo Yun Chen continued to read the original article.

From what he can see, the original poster wanted to smear his name. They had even brought up the incident where he was helping Xia Yu to the hotel room during President Lu's wedding.

The original poster had insisted that Huo Yun Chen was dragging a drunken woman to the hotel room and doing disgusting things to her.

However, because someone had gotten his picture and posted it online, Huo Yun Chen was accused of bribing the woman by making her his girlfriend. This woman was Xia Yu.

Even with this news, the person who was continuously scolded was Xia Yu.

Knowing his girlfriend's temperament, Huo Yun Chen was very worried about Xia Yu. How sad and helpless she must be, facing those people.

Xia Yu was not ready to face something like this.

Huo Yun Chen took out his phone and called Xia Yu again. However, he still was not able to reach her. Her phone was still off.

It was making him frustrated.

"You don't need to try and call Miss Xia again," Brother Xiang said. "She turned off his phone. I heard that those people got her number and started to harass her."

Huo Yun Chen's expression turned ugly. He could almost imagine the reporters and his fans attacking Xia Yu everywhere she go.

"You don't have to worry about her," Brother Xiang said. "I heard that Mrs. Lu had taken Miss Xia to live with them. She could not return to the apartment as the reporters were waiting for her there."

Huo Yun Chen was relieved to know that Song Xing Xing had helped him to protect Xia Yu. At least, those people would not dare to bully Xia Yu that much.

"What do you want to do now?"

"Of course, I'm going to admit that I am dating Xia Yu. Brother Xiang, I won't leave Xia Yu just because my fans did not like her. I know her best."

Brother Xiang stared at Huo Yun Chen's determined expression and nodded. "I understand. You don't have to worry about this. I will discuss this with the agency."

The car finally arrived at the airport. Huo Yun Chen followed Brother Xiang inside and quickly headed to the departing hall.

Huo Yun Chen was about to hand over the ticket in his hand when his phone rang. Thinking that it was his girlfriend, Huo Yun Chen quickly took out the phone from his pocket. However, the person on the caller ID was not Xia Yu. It was Song Xing Xing.

He recalled that Brother Xiang had mentioned that Xia Yu was staying with Song Xing Xing and quickly picked up the phone call.

"Huo Yun Chen?" Song Xing Xing's voice came through the phone.

"Yes. It's me. Little—"

"Where are you? Are you heading to Capital City now? Huo Yun Chen, you need to come back quickly," Song Xing Xing interjected before Huo Yun Chen could ask anything.

"I'm already at the airport and we should be departing to Capital City soon. What happened?" His heartbeat accelerated. His feeling was telling him that this call was not anything good.

Song Xing Xing heaved in relief when she heard that Huo Yun Chen was on his way back.

"That's good, that means you still have time to catch up with her."

"Little Star, what happened? Is it something about Xia Yu?"

"Xia Yu packed her bag early this morning and planned to head to F Country. I already tried to convince her to stay but she won't listen to me. Huo Yun Chen, if you love her, you need to stop her and talk to her."

His throat felt dry.. After a brief pause, Huo Yun Chen gripped his bag and ran off inside.
