You're My Only Star

Xia Yu went into her locker room to change her clothes. When she came out again, she could still notice others' gaze on her. She went out from the front door to meet up with the assistant that President Lu had sent to find her.

As she came closer to the entrance, Xia Yu could see that there were a group of people gathering outside.

Earlier that day, there was an accident and many of the victims were sent over to this hospital. Thinking that the group should be the patient's family member, Xia Yu did not pay much attention to them.

She scanned the area and quickly found the assistant, waiting for her. Just as she was about to head over to the assistant, Xia Yu heard someone say her name.

Xia Yu turned around and noticed that the group of people was staring back at her.

"You are Xia Yu, right?" The young woman asked. Her eyes narrowed as she was trying to get a clear look at her.

"You are...?" Xia Yu tried to recall this person but she could not remember her at all.

"She must be Xia Yu," another woman in the crowd spoke. "I recognized her well!"

Xia Yu was dumbfounded to hear her words. She then realized that most of the people in this group were women.

A strange feeling came to her heart. Before she could figure out what was going on, something hit on her face and a wet, gooey feeling trailed down her cheek.

It took her a while to realize that someone had thrown bad eggs at her.

Then, a while later the group of women started to throw all sorts of things at her.

Xia Yu stood still, unable to react. She could hear them scolding her for ruining Huo Yun Chen's good name. Some of them said that someone like her did not deserve to be with Huo Yun Chen. They screamed at her, asking her to leave Huo Yun Chen alone.

It was only when someone had shielded her and dragged her away from the scene that she finally snapped out of her trance. Xia Yu looked up and realized that Assistant Bei Yuan had covered her head with his coat, protecting her from the items that the fans were throwing at her.

The guards on duty finally realized what was going on and came over to stop the excessive fans. Fortunately, none of them managed to chase after her.

"Miss Xia, please, get in," Bei Yuan said as he pulled the door open.

Xia Yu entered the vehicle and noticed that there was someone else sitting in the front passenger's seat. Her eyes flickered as she recognized him. "President Lu."

Lu Xun gave her a quick nod. He waited for his assistant to slid into the driver's seat and frowned. "What happened?"

"I'm sorry, President Lu. I did not expect that there will be a group of Huo Yun Chen's fans outside the hospitals. They recognized Miss Xia and started to attack her," Bei Yuan said. He turned to Xia Yu and lowered his head. "Miss Xia, I apologize for my negligence."

Seeing that the guards had not driven those groups away, Bei Yuan thought that they were coming to seek treatment. It was indeed his mistake.

However, none of them had expected that Huo Yun Chen's fans would go this far.

Lu Xun frowned. He opened the compartment in front of him and took out a towel. "Miss Xia, please use this to wipe yourself." Turning to Bei Yuan again, Lu Xun quickly instructed him to drive.

Xia Yu wiped the gooey liquids on her face and realized that the car had started to move.

Previously, the assistant only told her that President Lu wanted to see her. After the group of women attacked her, Xia Yu had forgotten the reason he had called for her.

"President Lu, why are you looking for me?" Xia Yu looked out the window and asked again, "And... where are you taking me?"

"Xing Xing is worried about you," Lu Xun said. "Miss Xia, at this time, it would be better if you did not stay at your place. A group of reporters is already waiting for you outside."

Xia Yu's body trembled.

She had seen how a group of reporters surrounded Huo Yun Chen in the past. Xia Yu did not think that she would be able to face something like that.

It was bad enough that she was surrounded by a group of reporters during her brother's trial previously. The number of reporters who came to find Huo Yun Chen should be more than that.

"The company had already sent someone to look for Huo Yun Chen in T City," Lu Xun said. "Once we contact him, we can discuss what you wanted to do next."

Xia Yu nodded weakly. She did not know how bad the situation is at this moment. While she was changing her cloth earlier, Xia Yu had tried to go online to look at the situation. But everything is just like Nurse Lin had said. The early posts have been suppressed and removed.

There were not a lot of things that she could find online.

After a moment that felt like forever, they finally arrived at the Lu's residence.

Xia Yu followed Lu Xun into the house and saw that her friend, Song Xing Xing, was waiting for them in the living room.

"You're back," Song Xing Xing said. She stood up from the sofa with her big belly and walked over to her husband.

"Why are you here?" Lu Xun asked. The frown on his face told her that he was unhappy. "Didn't I ask you to go and sleep first?"

Song Xing Xing pulled at his sleeve. "I was worried and could not fall asleep. It's better if I wait for you guys to return. This way, I would be more at ease."

The frown on his face deepened but Lu Xun really could not bear to scold his wife.

"What took you so long?" Song Xing Xing asked. She turned to look at Xia Yu and finally noticed her slightly disheveled look. "What happened to Xia Yu?"

"We ran into a group of Huo Yun Chen's fans outside the hospital," Lu Xun explained.

Song Xing Xing instantly became unhappy. "They wanted to create trouble? Are they still worthy to be called his fans?"

"Alright, don't get angry." Lu Xun patted at his wife's back. "You know that you cannot get worked up."

Song Xing Xing took a few deep breaths to calm down. Then, she turned to Xia Yu again. "I'm sure that you must be tired after what happened today. Xia Yu, I have already prepared the guest room. Stay here tonight.. Once we reach Huo Yun Chen, we'll discuss this matter together."
