You're My Only Star

Lu Xun was shocked when Song Xing Xing had suddenly hugged him. He heard the words 'ghost' and thought that this girl was playing a trick on him. When he noticed her trembling shoulder, this suspicion was dispelled immediately. Song Xing Xing does not seem as if she was joking.

"Hey, calm down." His hand halted midair. After a brief hesitation, Lu Xun patted her shoulder. "It's alright. There is no such thing as a ghost. Perhaps you are mistaken."

Song Xing Xing heard his words and had the urge to cry. She knew what she saw. "I saw it. It's in there." She pulled away and pointed at the office again. "Producer Ming's computer was turned on."

Lu Xun frowned when he saw the tears on her face. "There should be an explanation for that. Maybe someone is playing tricks on you."

Song Xing Xing took a deep breath to calm down. She pondered over Lu Xun's words and thought that they make sense.

That's right. It's possible that someone was playing tricks on her. The others knew that she was heading to the restroom and perhaps one of them took this chance to play a trick on her.

Lu Xun exhaled when he saw that the girl had started to calm down. "Come on. We'll go and look at it together."

Song Xing Xing refused to move. Instinctively, she pulled at Lu Xun's sleeve as if wanting to stop him from going into the room. When he looked at her again, Song Xing Xing shook her head with tears pooling in her eyes.

"I'll come with you. It's fine. If we don't go over and check, how can we confirm that what you saw was the truth?"

The man's soothing voice gradually calm her down. Song Xing Xing did not let go of his sleeve as she followed him into the office. The moment Lu Xun pushed the door open, Song Xing Xing hid behind his back and closed her eyes.

"There's nothing in here. You see."

"Really? Nothing?"

"See for yourself."

Song Xing Xing opened her eyes slowly and looked into the empty room. The figure that she had seen beside Producer Ming's computer was no longer there. However, the computer was still on.

She pointed at the computer and spoke, "You see... I'm not lying. The computer is turned on. There was no one sitting at the desk earlier. Why would it suddenly turned on?"

"Someone should turn it on before you came in." Lu Xun walked into the room and halted when he realized that the girl was sticking closer to him. It was difficult to walk with someone sticking too close to him.

However, Lu Xun thought that it would be heartless to push her away at this time. She was too scared and should not be left alone. He had no other choice but to allow her to stick closer to him and drag her around with him.

Lu Xun checked at the computer and the surroundings. He could not find anything strange around and Lu Xun quickly turned off the computer.

Suddenly, the grip around his arms tightened. Noticing the girl's pale face, Lu Xun took her out from the office.

"I know what I saw," Song Xing Xing said once they left the room. "That thing... It was there earlier."

Lu Xun opened his mouth to speak, but suddenly, the two of them heard footsteps heading towards them.

A few seconds later, Liu Yu Sheng and the other post-production staff appeared at the door.

"Xing Xing! What happened? We can hear your voice from downstairs!" Liu Yu Sheng panted heavily as she had run up the stairs. She saw that her friend was safe and heaved a breath in relief. However, her steps halted once she saw that her friend was holding on to their boss's arms. Suddenly, her mind goes blank and she did not know what to think.

When did Xing Xing's relationship with their big boss progress to this step? As Song Xing Xing's friend, why didn't she know anything about it?

"President Lu, what happened?" Another staff inquired.

Song Xing Xing's mood gradually improved when she saw that everyone was around and she was no longer frightened. She told everyone what she saw and the others exchanged their glances. Some of them were thinking that Song Xing Xing was imagining things, while some felt their hair stood up.

"Did any of you tried to play some tricks?" Lu Xun's voice was stern. He would not tolerate anyone who dared to play such tricks on their colleague.

The staff quickly denied this.

"Of course not. President Lu why would we do something as childish as that? We were planning to have our supper together. Everyone was waiting downstairs. We can be each other witness."

Lu Xun looked at the staff and then back at the person who was still holding his arms.

None of the staff look as if they were lying and Song Xing Xing did not seem as if she was telling a lie. He could tell that the fear in her eyes was real.

"Then, let's head to the security room and look at the CCTV recording."

Since none of them had a rejection, everyone followed after their big boss to the security room. Everyone wanted to know the truth and did not want to be accused of doing something they did not do.

Lu Xun told them the situation and asked them to replay the footage of what happened in that room.

The video was played on the big screen and everyone was surprised to see that Song Xing Xing was telling the truth. She was not imagining things and no one was playing any tricks.

On the screen, no one had touched the computer in the corner of the room. Everyone left the room at the same time until Song Xing Xing was seen entering the empty room. She was alone. Suddenly, the computer at the corner of the room was turned on and the chair was suddenly moving.

Seeing this scene, everyone felt a chill and the hair on their back stood up. Even the guard on duty face's turned pale.
