You're My Only Star

As soon as the carrier door was opened, Mr. Fluffball walked out with a proud look on his face. He scanned his surroundings and began to walk around. The way he acted was as if he was a big boss who came to inspect the site.

Judging from the way he walked around, one would be able to see that he was very familiar with the house.

Previously, Mr. Fluffball had stayed a few days in this place before he was taken away by his master. He did not realize how much he was missing this papa's place.

After walking for a while, Mr. Fluffball saw something in front of him and quickly stopped.

His eyes narrowed as he peeked inside the room. The last time he came, this door was always locked and he never had his chance to look around.

Seeing that the door was unlocked this time, Mr. Fluffball quickly walked in. The lights were turned on and his movement halted upon seeing the new thing in front of him.

His eyes lit up but the grey cat kept his composure. Mr. Fluffball walked over to inspect the new colorful thing with a disinterested face.

This... a new treehouse and toys?

It seemed that everything in this room belonged to him.

Did his papa buy everything for him?

Mr. Fluffball was feeling excited and was very satisfied with what he was seeing.

He had such good taste. The human he chose for his master would definitely be able to give him a better life. It seemed that calling this human as his papa was the right decision.

Mr. Fluffball was feeling proud of himself. He could imagine that he will be having a better life in this house.

He stretched his paw and slapped the purple ball. His eyes moved sharply to follow the ball's direction. Seeing it moving around, the grey cat could no longer hide his excitement and he began to chase it around.

However, he ran too fast and crashed into his new treehouse.

Mr. Fluffball meowed angrily at the treehouse. It was then that he realized that someone was observing him. Swiftly, he sat obediently and stared back at Song Xing Xing with an adorable look on his face. "Meow."

Song Xing Xing chuckled upon noticing the cat's behavior.

Lu Xun picked up the cat and inspected him.

Mr. Fluffball blinked his eyes at Lu Xun. "Meow." His tone sounded aggrieved. It was as if he was telling his papa that the crash had hurt him.

"Let me take a look." Lu Xun inspected Mr. Fluffball's head and heaved in relief when he did not see anything wrong with it. He blew some air and kissed the cat's head twice. "It's okay. You're fine."

"Meow." Mr. Fluffball rested his head on Lu Xun's shoulder.

Lu Xun laughed when Mr. Fluffball snuggled closer to him. He thought that it was fortunate for him to be able to get close to Mr. Fluffball. "Your cat is really adorable."

Song Xing Xing sneered as she continued to observe the cat acting spoiled. "He's a good pretender."

Mr. Fluffball met Song Xing Xing's gaze before he quickly looked away. Of course, in Song Xing Xing's vision, this cat was showing off to her and this made her unhappy.

That is her man and this cat keeps trying to steal him away from her.

Lu Xun chuckled at Song Xing Xing's comment. He pulled her over and pecked on her cheek. "Alright. I'm sure that you should be hungry. Let's go and get something to eat."

Her stomach was grumbling. Previously, Song Xing Xing was preparing her dinner when she had almost burned the house down.

After cleaning up the place a little bit, Lu Xun asked her to pack her things and move to his place immediately. Even if she wanted to decline his invitation, her apartment was really unsuitable to live in due to the smoke.

Since she had already agreed to move in with him, Song Xing Xing thought that pushing it forward would not make much difference.

But this time, she only bring along a few clothes. On the weekend, she will have to return to her apartment and pack up a few more stuff to bring over to Lu Xun's place.

Song Xing Xing looked around the kitchen before she turned to Lu Xun again. "Auntie Wei is not here. How about I prepare something for dinner?"

Lu Xun put the cat on the floor. He approached Song Xing Xing slowly with a faint smile on his face. "No. Xing Xing, you are not allowed to cook anything for a month."

Her eyes widened at his sudden decision. "Ah? Why not?" Song Xing Xing continued to step back when the man continued to approach her. After a while, her back hit the cold wall behind her. Song Xing Xing realized that she had no way to escape now.

Her heartbeat accelerated as she was anticipating what was going to happen next.

"Have you forgotten how you almost burned your kitchen a few hours ago?'

Song Xing Xing pursed her lips into a thin line. "That was an accident."

"Well, I'm preventing any accident from happening."

"Then, what are we going to eat for dinner? Are you suggesting that you would cook?"

"Auntie Wei had already cooked something and store them on the refrigerator. We can just reheat everything."

Song Xing Xing watched as Lu Xun stretched his hand towards her. Soon, warm light came behind her followed by cold air. Turning around, Song Xing Xing realized that she was leaning on the refrigerator.

She had thought that this man was planning to pull off some mischievous act.

Lu Xun tugged at her hand and let her take a look inside the refrigerator.

Song Xing Xing was awestruck when she saw the rows of packed food inside. Each of the food containers was labeled with Auntie Wei's handwriting. It seemed that Auntie Wei would often cook a lot of food and store them for Lu Xun's convenience.

"What do you want to eat?" Lu Xun asked. Seeing that the girl was not responding, Lu Xun pulled a few containers and showed them to her. "Are these okay?"

Song Xing Xing snapped out of her thoughts and nodded. She watched as Lu Xun placed the dishes into the microwave to reheat them.

Afterward, he took out something from the cabinet.

Song Xing Xing looked at the packet in Lu Xun's hand and immediately recognized that it was Mr.. Fluffball's favorite wet food.
