You're My Only Star

The group hiked down the peak through a different path. Halfway down, a car was already waiting to pick them up. Seeing that she did not have to walk too far, Song Xing Xing was naturally very happy.

Long Fei introduced the driver as his cousin, Long Yu Heng, before they get into the car and descended the mountain.

Instead of going back to the residence, the car stopped by the lake. The group took a speedboat and Long Fei took them sightseeing around the town. After a while, the boat finally pulled over and they went to a restaurant to have breakfast together.

The food was good and the lake view was very pretty. Song Xing Xing snapped a few pictures and posted them on her 'Moments'.

Noticing that there were a few replies for her yesterday's post, Song Xing Xing went through the replies and smiled.

Everyone was asking where she went to but Song Xing Xing did not give away her location.

Song Xing Xing held the cup of hot soybean milk with both hands to warm up. It was summer but as compared to Capital City, this town was colder.

"Feeling better?"

She looked up at her boyfriend and nodded. Her stomach was full and she was no longer walking up the mountain. Of course, she was feeling better.

"Are we going somewhere else after this?" Song Xing Xing asked.

"We'll return to the courtyard and rest. Let's decide what we want to do later when we are fully rested."

Song Xing Xing did not have any objection and quickly agreed.

At this time, Song Wei walked over with his face full of excitement. "Sister, let's go for a walk."

Song Xing Xing sat down on the bench facing the lake and turned to her brother lazily. "You go ahead. I'm too tired to walk."

"It was a rare chance for us to come to this town. Why are you sitting around?" Song Wei went to his sister's side and attempted to pull her up. "Come on. At least, accompany me to buy some souvenirs for our parents."

After a brief persuasion, Song Xing Xing finally stood up and let her brother pull her away to walk around town. The two of them stopped by a local shop and discussed what they should get for their parents and friends.

Lu Xun watched the siblings' interaction helplessly.

Song Wei, that giant lightbulb really could not read the situation well. He just wanted to be alone with Song Xing Xing but that boy had to steal her away from him.

If this boy kept interrupting them like this, would he have the chance to give Song Xing Xing the surprise he had worked hard to prepare?

"Worried?"

Lu Xun turned around and watched as Long Fei walked over to him.

It would be a lie to say that he was not worried. Other than Song Wei's unexpected interruption, Lu Xun still have to worry whether his plan could go on smoothly. Then, he was a little worried about how Song Xing Xing would react later.

"Rest assured. I have let the others check the location. You can head over later to take a look and see if you are satisfied with the arrangement. Tonight, you can take Miss Song to that place," Long Fei said. "As for that boy, I'll take care of him."

Lu Xun smiled. "Long Fei, thank you. I owe you this."

"It's fine." Long Fei waved his hand. "You already let me use the lake behind your house during my stay in C Country."

Lu Xun looked at his friend with a helpless gaze. "I told you that the lake does not belong to me. You or anyone could use it as you pleased."

Long Fei did not answer. His lips stretched up into a mysterious smile. "Lu Xun, I wish you good luck for tonight's event. Miss Song is a good person and I'm happy that you have finally moved on."

A chuckle escaped him. "What about you? You still haven't found that person you're looking for?"

"Mmm..." Long Fei lowered his gaze. "It has been a long time and a lot has changed. It might be a little difficult to find her."

"Cheer up. If Zhang Yu Han could be reunited with his wife, then I'm sure you would find your other half too."

His lips tilted into a smile that does not reach his eyes. Long Fei thought that his situation and Zhang Yu Han were different. Zhang Yu Han fell in love at the first sight with his wife and was unable to forget her ever since. As for him, Long Fei did not know whether he liked the girl or not. He only knew that he needed her.

After walking around and having their lunch in the afternoon, the group returned to the residence. Song Xing Xing returned to her room and curled her body under the blanket after a quick shower.

When she woke up, it was already three hours later.

Song Xing Xing grabbed her phone at the side and saw that her brother had left her a message. Long Fei had invited him to go fishing and Song Wei had quickly agreed. Song Wei told her that the two of them would be back before the sky turned dark and she could expect for him to bring back a fish or two for their barbecued dinner.

Her eyes lit up upon noticing that her brother was not around. Song Xing Xing went to the bathroom to get freshened up before she left her room and headed next door.

It was a rare chance to be alone with her boyfriend. Of course, she was not going to let this chance slip away.

The door swung open from the inside after a brief knock.

Seeing that Lu Xun was in front of her, Song Xing Xing lurched forward and wrapped her arms around his waist. The smile on her face widened as his scent filled her nose.

"You're awake?" Lu Xun patted her on the hair.

"Un. I heard that Song Wei went fishing with your friend and decided to come over and find you." Song Xing Xing raised her head and looked at him. "What are you doing?"

"Just looking at some documents that Bei Yuan forwarded to me earlier."

Song Xing Xing pulled away and sighed. "President Lu, you are very busy even when you're on a vacation." He purposely took a few days off to accompany her and celebrate her birthday. Song Xing Xing felt bad when she thought that he would get very busy after this.

"I only looked at them since I have some time," Lu Xun said. "Now that you're awake, should we go for a walk? Do you want to find Song Wei and join him?"

Song Xing Xing shook her head. "You should go and continue your work. I'll accompany you and admire your good look while you are working."

Lu Xun laughed as he heard her words.
