You're My Only Star

Song Xing Xing get into the taxi and gave the driver the location. As the vehicle started to move, Song Xing Xing took out her phone and sent a text to Lu Xun.

His reply came to her in seconds. The corner of her lips tilted into a smile upon noticing his short reply. It was evident that the man was unhappy upon knowing that she would be having a meal with Huo Yun Chen. However, Lu Xun had not said anything and had allowed her to meet him.

Almost a week ago, Huo Yun Chen had contacted her and asked her to accompany him for a meal.

Last time, Huo Yun Chen had asked to team up with her in 'Legends of the Sky' and get married to increase their might. However, after she found out that her boyfriend was playing the same game, Song Xing Xing changed her mind and decided to team up with Lu Xun instead.

Because of that, she now owed Huo Yun Chen a meal as an apology.

Song Xing Xing looked out the window and saw that the taxi was passing by a shop lot. Just a few days ago, she had walked along this shop lot area with Lu Xun.

Her eyes were looking out the window in a daze as she recalled how her boyfriend has been acting a little strange in the past few days.

Song Xing Xing did not know whether everything was purely a coincidence. However, she began to notice that each time that she came out with Lu Xun for a date, they would stumble into something or a situation that would remind her of a wedding.

One time, the two of them watched a live proposal as they walk past a jewelry store.

The next time, they went out to try a new French cuisine in another part of the city and walked past by a wedding studio. Coincidentally, a bride was trying on her wedding dress and the two of them could see them through the big glass window.

Song Xing Xing saw the pretty white dress that the bride was wearing. Seeing the joyous expression on the bride and her family's face warmed her heart.

Then, just like the last time, Lu Xun had moved away before she could say anything.

And there was once where they ran into a sweet old couple while the two were having breakfast in the early morning together. The old couple continued to hold each other's hand and the husband continued to feed his wife with food.

As she watched the way the old man was staring at his wife, Song Xing Xing could sense how much he love and doted on his wife.

Song Xing Xing watched this scene and thought that the couple had a really good life together. It kind of made her envious.

These incidents did not happen just once or twice.

Song Xing Xing was wondering if she was too sensitive but each time they went on a date, they would often encounter such a situation. It made her wonder whether everything was planned. But on second thought, Song Xing Xing thought that it would be impossible for Lu Xun to do such things, right?

As she continued to be in her trance, the vehicle finally pulled over in front of a building. The taxi driver announced that they had arrived at their destination.

After paying the fare, Song Xing Xing alighted the vehicle and looked around.

The English-style house in front of her was converted into a restaurant. The tall, shady trees around the place made gave a relaxing feeling to the place. Hydrangea bushes were planted all around the houses.

Song Xing Xing arrived at the restaurant and thought that the atmosphere around the place looked quite good. Looking at the line of cars parked outside, she was able to tell that this place had a good reputation.

If the restaurant served good food, Song Xing Xing was planning to ask Lu Xun to come over as well.

She snapped a few photos of the place and send them to Lu Xun. The corner of her lips tilted up upon seeing that the man had given her another short reply.

When she walked into the restaurant, a waitress greeted her at the door and ushered her in.

Seeing that the first floor was crowded with guests, Song Xing Xing was a little worried that someone might have recognized Huo Yun Chen later and made trouble.

However, the waitress soon led them to the first floor.

Once they arrived, Song Xing Xing noticed that the place was not as crowded. There was signage that tell that the whole floor was reserved.

Ever since she had mentioned to Huo Yun Chen that she was afraid to be seen by his fans, Huo Yun Chen would make sure that each time they met, there would be no one else around.

A faint smile curled on her lips.

Her eyes scanned around the place and she quickly found Huo Yun Chen and his assistant seated at the table near the window.

As of sensing her presence, Huo Yun Chen raised her head. His eyes lit up the moment he saw the person he was waiting for. "Little Star." He stood up and waved.

"Hello, Miss Song," Assistant Lin greeted. Perhaps, it was because Assistant Lin was aware that she was dating their big boss. This time, Assistant Lin's tone sounded a little respectful.

Song Xing Xing greeted both Huo Yun Chen and Assistant Lin. "You guys are here early."

Huo Yun Chen flashed a smile. "We could not let you wait for us. After all, you are our big boss's girlfriend."

Song Xing Xing laughed and took a seat.

The waitress walked over to pass them the menu. Before she left, the waitress could not help but glance at Huo Yun Chen a few times.

After the waitress had walked away, Huo Yun Chen took outa white paper bag and passed it over to Song Xing Xing. "Last time, we went overseas to photoshoot some commercial. I bought this as a souvenir for you."

Song Xing Xing peeked into the bag and saw that it was a box of chocolate.

Initially, she was planning to reject his gift if he gave her anything expensive. However, since they are just food, Song Xing Xing decided to accept them.

"Little Star, I heard that you have hold a wedding ceremony a few weeks ago. You can consider this as your wedding gift."

Song Xing Xing laughed. "Sorry. I would have informed you earlier but the wedding was too sudden."

"It's fine." Huo Yun Chen flashed a smile that did not reach his ear. "Little star, you have to invite me when you get married for real. I will sing a few songs on your wedding banquet for free."
