Lu Xun was unable to react for a long time.

His heartbeat accelerated and his throat rolled.

Just now... did his girlfriend had asked him to marry her?

Lu Xun was having a hard time believing what he had heard. He started to wonder whether he had gotten so old that he began to have problems with his hearing.

It's not possible for Song Xing Xing to propose to him, right?

This.... doesn't seem as if something that she would do.

He had probably thought too much about getting married that he had started to imagine things.

With this thought in his head, Lu Xun began to ease up a little bit. He turned to look at his phone and started to move his character around until it reached Central City.

His attention was on the game but his mind was somewhere else. At this time, he could hear her words repeating in his mind over and over again. Each time that the words were repeated, Lu Xun could feel his heartbeat getting faster and faster.

Knowing that he had imagined things, Lu Xun decided to ignore those words in his mind.

However, a while later, Song Xing Xing began to ask again.

"You don't want to?" There was a slight disappointment in her tone.

Lu Xun raised his head to look at his girlfriend. "What is it?"

"Marriage," Song Xing Xing repeated. "You don't want to do it?"

His calm heart started to rage again. Lu Xun stared back at his girlfriend and saw that the look in her eyes does not seem as if she was joking.

That was really a proposal?

She was proposing to him? For real?

But... why all of sudden? He hasn't had the chance to ask her what she thought about marriage. But now, this girl is asking him to marry her?

Recently, Lu Xun was beginning to consider marriage with Song Xing Xing. He had wanted to ask her what she thought about it but never had the chance or courage to ask.

Now... it was Song Xing Xing who had brought up the matter about marriage. He had not thought that his girlfriend was as anxious as him to get married.

Lu Xun was having a hard time coping with everything.

Seeing that her boyfriend continued to stare at her in a dazed expression, Song Xing Xing did not know whether he was too shocked or too happy.

As time passed by, Song Xing Xing began to notice that there was something wrong with the way he was looking at her. His eyes behind the glasses darkened and his expression turned serious.

Song Xing Xing raised a hand and placed it on his chest, stopping him from advancing. "This isn't what I mean," Song Xing Xing spoke quickly. She raised the phone in her hand, showing him the screen. "It's the game."

Lu Xun stopped again. His eyes were staring back at her in confusion. "Song Xing Xing, what are you talking about? Why are you mentioning the game at a time like this?"

She took a deep breath and explained quickly, "I'm talking about the game's new feature. The marriage system!"

"What?"

Song Xing Xing tapped her fingers on the screen and showed to him the new game's feature. "This. I mean this one." The announcement was shown on her screen. "See?"

Lu Xun took the phone from her and studied the announcement.

He had seen this announcement a few times before but had never read them carefully. It was now that he realized that there was such thing as a marriage feature.

Two players team up and get married. They will receive a high-grade costume and their might would increase.

So, this is what his girlfriend was talking about? She was not trying to propose?

The sudden thrill and happiness turned out to be a false alarm.

Lu Xun looked at his girlfriend and did not know how he should react at this time.

He was slightly disappointed but Lu Xun decided to hide his feelings well. He took a deep breath as he returned the phone to her.

Seeing that his expression had turned normal, Song Xing Xing heaved in relief. Then, she proceed to tell him the requirements for them to get married in this game.

"I've made my calculation," Song Xing Xing announced. "I will need at least a month before I can gather that amount of ingots to have this wedding ceremony." She leaned over to glimpse at his screen. "If you do your daily every day without a miss, then we'll be able to get married in a month. That's it. If you agree, then let's have a wedding ceremony in a month."

Lu Xun has been listening to her explanation about the marriage feature and what benefit they will get from it.

"Why can't we do it now?"

"Because we don't have enough money at this moment."

Lu Xun stared at the ingots he had in the game. "How much do we need?"

"Ten thousand ingots per person," Song Xing Xing sai. "Right now, I only have around one thousand. You have slightly more than I have. It will take us a while to collect them."

Lu Xun was quiet for a long time. "We can purchase those ingots with money, right?"

Song Xing Xing nodded. "Of course. But there's no way for me to spend that amount of money to purchase some ingots. It's better if we do it slowly."

Just as she had finished saying those words, Song Xing Xing saw a black card appearing before her.

"Let's do it." 

She looked up and saw that he was staring back at her with a serious look on his face. 

"Let's get married."
