You're My Only Star

When Song Xing Xing headed to the office, the smile on her face still had not faded away. After teasing a certain President once, she grew mischievous and wanted to tease him again.

Of course, before the man would get back at her, Song Xing Xing quickly made her escape.

She could only hope that by the time she met him in the evening, Lu Xun would have forgotten about her mischievous deed.

"Xing Xing! I haven't seen you for a few days!" Liu Yu Sheng leaped forward to hug her friend. She looked at Song Xing Xing's injured ankle and frowned with worry. "I heard that you took a few days off due to an injury. Does it still hurt?"

"The bruise looked less scary than a few days ago."

Hearing that, Liu Yu Sheng was instantly relieved. However, when she looked up again, Liu Yu Sheng noticed the bright look on her friend's face. "Xing Xing, you're injured but you still look very happy. What's going on with you?"

Song Xing Xing touched her face and decided to play dumb. "You think so?"

Liu Yu Sheng nodded a few times. 

"It's probably because you miss me." Song Xing Xing laughed when her friend rolled her eyes. She quickly found a way to change the subject. "Yu Sheng, quickly tell me what do I have to do now?"

Once they were seated in front of the computer, the two became serious about their work.

Fortunately, even without her around, the editing work was not delayed too far. Song Xing Xing continued to work on her editing and even forgotten about her lunch. 

When she looked up again, it was because Producer Ming had called everyone to gather around. As Huo Yun Chen's drama had entered the post-production process, the studio was planning to produce a few more dramas and movies. Moreover, the variety shows that Huo Yun Chen had joined the last time will finally enter its second season.

Now that NEXT Group had their talent agency as well as a filming studio, they were planning to make a few big moves in the entertainment industry.

It seemed that after this drama had ended, the post-production team will continue to get busy.

The meeting ended a while a few minutes before it was time to clock out. As Song Xing Xing recalled that she was supposed to accompany Lu Xun to meet his friend, she quickly gathered packed her bag.

However, before she could make her escape, Song Xing Xing was caught by both Liu Yu Sheng and Ning Yan.

Song Xing Xing looked at the two of them and narrowed her eyes. "It seemed that the two of you are no longer hiding the fact that you two are dating."

Ning Yan lowered his head shyly and let out a soft cough.

Meanwhile, Liu Yu Sheng merely laughed at her friend's words. "Xing Xing, we are worried about your injured ankle. Let Ning Yan send you back to your place."

"It's fine. Your place was on the other side of the city. I can grab a cab." Song Xing Xing had already promised to wait for Lu Xun to pick her up. How can she leave with the two of them?

"We would still worry about your injury," Liu Yu Sheng said. "It's rush hour. What if you encountered an accident? Once you have sprained your ankle, you have to look after this injury carefully. Or else, it will not heal properly."

"Song Xing Xing, let us send you back. I don't mind," Ning Yan spoke. "Anyway, Yu Sheng and I were planning to have our dinner somewhere near your place."

The couple continued to convince her and Song Xing Xing had no way to reject their kind intention. She could not mention to Liu Yu Sheng that her boyfriend would come and pick her up. Her friend will only get curious and wanted to meet this boyfriend.

It was still too early for her to reveal that she is in a relationship with Lu Xun to her friends at this time.

In the end, Song Xing Xing texted her boyfriend and told her that there has been a change in plan.

The two changed their plan and decided to meet at her place. Anyway, this would be a good chance for her to change her clothing. Earlier, when she had dressed up in her casual clothes. Since Lu Xun was planning to take her out and meet his best friend, it would be a good idea for her to dress up a little bit.

When she arrived home, Song Xing Xing took a quick shower and picked up a suitable dress. Since her ankle was still injured, she can only opt for flats.

She was in the middle of putting on her makeup when the doorbell rang.

Song Xing Xing checked the intercom system and found that Lu Xun was standing in front of the door. Her lips curled into a smile and she quickly opened the door.

Her smile froze when she saw the bouquet of roses in his hand.

Seeing that the girl had stayed quiet for a long time, Lu Xun suddenly grew anxious. "You… Don't like roses?"

Previously, he has been looking into some dating blogs and found that giving flowers is a must. Since he was heading to her place, Lu Xun decided to make a quick stop at the florist to get some flowers for her.

Song Xing Xing finally snapped out of her trance. "No. I like them. I'm just surprised. This is for me?"

"Un. I didn't know which flower you like best, but the florist recommended roses."

Her cheek turned a little red and her heartbeat accelerated in excitement. This was the first time that she had received some flowers from her boyfriend and Song Xing Xing thought that the roses looked especially prettier. 

Lu Xun heaved a breath of relief when Song Xing Xing took the bouquet from him. He watched as she inhaled the scent of the roses and smiled. 

"I'll go and put this in a vase first."

"Un. Go ahead." Now that he was no longer worried whether his girlfriend would like the flower, Lu Xun began to notice the dress that she was wearing.

He had gotten used to seeing her dressed casually that seeing her dressed up nicely like this would make him stunned. The girl in front of him looked cheery and cute.

It was not until Song Xing Xing had returned to his side that he finally snapped out of his trance. His gaze fell on her red lips and he had the urge to kiss her. It seemed that she had spent some time putting on her makeup. He did not want to ruin it for her.

Song Xing Xing tilted her head as she watched a dazed Lu Xun in front of her. She held his arms and smiled. "I'm ready. Let's go."
