You're My Only Star

The sudden impact caused him to stagger backward. Fortunately, his Maserati managed to stop them from falling. Seeing that the person was safely in his arms, Lu Xun let out a deep breath.

He did not know whether he wanted he should scold her for her dangerous action.

His expression turned a shade darker. However, the moment he saw the look on her face, his initial anger swiftly dissipate. 

The smile on the girl's face was wide and it almost reached her ears. Her eyes shone brightly and they were telling him how happy she was to see him.

Suddenly, the words he wanted to say were stuck in his throat. Why is his girlfriend this adorable?

Meanwhile, Song Xing Xing only realized what she had done the moment she met Lu Xun's eyes. His gaze was too intense and it was making her embarrassed.

Initially, she had thought that the person in front of her is only her imagination. When she heard him call her name earlier, she was too excited that she had rushed over to him.

As she thought about what she had done earlier, the shades on her face turned redder. How could she suddenly rush over to hug him?

Song Xing Xing! Control yourself!

She quickly lowered her gaze to avoid his. She wanted to take a step back but realized that she was unable to move as Lu Xun was hugging her tightly. In the end, she could only bury her face in his chest.

Biting her lips to suppress her feelings, Song Xing Xing then looked up again. The red shades on her face remained and she did not dare to look at him straight in the eyes. "You… Why did you return suddenly? Didn't you say that there are a few matters that you need to look at?"

"The matter ended sooner than I thought," Lu Xun said. He leaned over and spoke close to her ear. "Moreover, I was worried that someone might be missing me. It seemed that I had made the right decision to return earlier."

Hearing his teasing tone, her ears felt as if they were burning.

Could someone pass her a pillow so that she can scream out loud? Her heart really could not handle his teasing.

Song Xing Xing was so shy that she wanted to pretend to pass out. Fortunately, Lu Xun had let her go and took a step back. Taking this chance, Song Xing Xing took a deep breath to calm down.

Lu Xun stretched his hand to pat her on the head. "Where did you go?" Lu Xun asked. His gaze shifted to the paper bag in her hand. "You went shopping?" He then stretched his hand and helped her with the bags.

When he arrived at the airport earlier, Lu Xun decided to come over to Song Xing Xing's place to surprise her. He came around the time he was sure that she would be at home. However, when he arrived, the guard told him that Song Xing Xing has not come back.

He decided to wait outside where he could see her. However, when he could not see her, Lu Xun was worried.

Just as he was deciding whether he should call her, Lu Xun finally see her walking over.

Song Xing Xing followed his gaze and finally remember that she had gone shopping for his coat. "Un. It's the coat that Mr. Fluffball had ruined the other day."

"You already bought a new one?"

"Un." Song Xing Xing nodded. "I asked the shop attendant to help and find the same design and size as yours."

Lu Xun heaved a sigh. "Actually, I was hoping that the two of us could go out on a shopping date later."

Song Xing Xing pursed her lips tightly. She was not expecting that Lu Xun would have such an idea. "Then, we can always go and shop for other things, right?"

The smile on his face stretched up. Lu Xun patted at her hair again before he peeked into the paper bag. "This coat is quite expensive."

Song Xing Xing laughed. "Don't worry. I can still afford to pay for this one. Or else…" Her expression turned serious. "President Lu, you can  consider giving me a raise."

Lu Xun chuckled. "I'll have to think about it." Seeing the adorable pout on her face, Lu Xun stretched his hand to pinch her cheek. He glanced at the paper bag again and spoke. "Then, I should check whether it fits me, right?"

Her head tilted to one side. Song Xing Xing had bought the same design and size. She did not think that he needed to try them on. She did not doubt that this coat would surely fit him.

Just then, Song Xing Xing saw the glint in his eyes. Suddenly, she had this feeling as if this man was probably trying to trick her again. Seeing that the residents were passing by, Song Xing Xing finally invited him to her apartment.

The moment they entered the house, Mr. Fluffball came to the door and stared at Lu Xun with an expectant gaze.

Lu Xun saw the look on the gray cat's face and thought that the way he was looking at him was almost the same as the way Song Xing Xing was looking at him.

Song Xing Xing watched as Lu Xun picked up her cat and narrowed her eyes. She really could not understand why does this gray cat would act differently whenever he saw Lu Xun.

Seeing the way Mr. Fluffball was resting obediently in Lu Xun's arms, Song Xing Xing suddenly found that her cat was a little annoying. 

After teasing the gray cat for a while, Lu Xun put the cat on the floor before he tried the coat that Song Xing Xing had bought for him.

Perhaps, it was just his psychological. But when Lu Xun looked into the mirror, he found that the coat that Song Xing Xing had bought for him gave him a different feeling. They were clearly the same coat but Lu Xun thought that he looked a little more good-looking in this one.

A while later, Song Xing Xing came out of the kitchen with a glass of water for him. Seeing that Lu Xun was trying on the coat, Song Xing Xing stood at the side and give him a look over. 

Fortunately, the coat fitted him well.

"Have you had your meal?" Lu Xun asked. "Do you want to go out and have dinner together?"

"No. I'm too tired to go out again," Song Xing Xing said. "Recently, the post-production team is getting busier. I'm planning to stay home and order something to eat. Are you going to stay and have dinner with me?" 

"Mhm… I'll stay.." He would do whatever she wanted for a chance to spend a little more time with her.
