You're My Only Star

As Lu Xun was focusing on the road, Song Xing Xing finally took out her phone to check on what was going on with Huo Yun Chen on the internet. However, how much she tried to search, Song Xing Xing was unable to find anything other than the agency's statement. They were going to take legal action against anyone who posted malicious slender on their talents.

The last time Song Xing Xing had seen Huo Yun Chen, was in the morning.

Then… the rumors about Huo Yun Chen should come out around that time or perhaps earlier than that.

Because the production team had just returned from their shooting location, Xing Xing and the others have been busy uploading the videos to the server. She did not have the time to go online and find out what happened on the internet.

A long time has passed. The rumors might have already been deleted.

Her fingers hovered on the phone screen. As she thought about Huo Yun Chen's expression this morning, Song Xing Xing began to worry about her friend. She wanted to contact Huo Yun Chen and ask about his well-being but she continued to hesitate. 

Huo Yun Chen was someone she knew from a game. She was not sure if Huo Yun Chen would like it if she inquired about his private life.

Before she knew it, Lu Xun had already pulled over the vehicle at the parking spot. The two of them alighted from the car and walked together towards the restaurant. Fortunately, the distance was not too far and they reached the place in less than five minutes.

As they reached the restaurant, Song Xing Xing was surprised to see the long queue outside the restaurant. The place was still new and a lot of people wanted to try the food at the restaurant.

"I did not expect that there will be a long queue," Song Xing Xing said. "Do you think we'll be able to get a seat?" 

Just as she had spoken those words, Lu Xun stretched his hand and hold her hand tightly. Song Xing Xing looked up and saw that the man was looking at her with a nonchalant expression.

"It should be fine. Bei Yuan had booked a table private room for us." He intertwined their hands together and pulled her over to the door. As the waitress greeted them, Lu Xun gave his name and the two were quickly led into the restaurant.

Lu Xun ordered a few dishes and the two chatted briefly as they waited for their food to be served. 

Fortunately, they did not have to wait for too long. Even though the restaurant was packed with customers, the food they ordered arrived at their table in less than twenty minutes.

A satisfied sigh escaped her as she took a bite at the pouched fish. Song Xing Xing could not stop smiling as the hot and sour taste of the fish spread through her mouth. The fish was tender and the taste was light and fresh. The taste of the soup was balanced well. It was very much to her liking.

Lu Xun chuckled as she watched the happy smile on her face. Seeing the way she was enjoying her food made her made him feel as if everything he ate would be delicious as well.

"Can I ask you a question?" Song Xing Xing spoke after she had eaten enough.

"Go ahead."

After a brief hesitation, Song Xing Xing spoke, "I heard a little bit of your conversation with Assistant Bei Yuan earlier.  If you don't mind, could you tell me what happened to Huo Yun Chen?"

His movement halted the moment Lu Xun heard the name.

As Lu Xu recalled the last time he had seen Song Xing Xing with Huo Yun Chen together in the studio, Lu Xun became unhappy. He remembered that her relationship between the two of them was pretty good. This girl could even laugh happily with Huo Yun Chen. 

When he saw that scene, he was unhappy. At that time, he could not do anything other than suppressing his feelings and watch everything from a distance away.

Lu Xun put down the chopsticks in his hand and leaned forward to her. "Why do you ask? Don't tell me that you are a fan of Huo Yun Chen? Hmm… I remember that your relationship with him is quite good."

Song Xing Xing thought that she could smell something sour but she quickly dismissed that thought once she detected that there was something strange in his words. 

"When did you see me and Huo Yun Chen have a good relationship?"

"I saw you and Huo Yun Chen together at the studio. Looking at the way you were chatting happily with him, it seemed as if the two of you had known each other for a long time," Lu Xun did not try to hide what he had seen.

Song Xing Xing thought that his relationship with Huo Yun Chen was pretty alright. They weren't close but she would still greet and talk whenever they see each other.

"Huo Yun Chen became the spokesperson for that game, 'Legend of the Sky'. I was close to him because of this game."

Even though he was aware that the two of them were playing the same game, Lu Xun was still unhappy. "The two of you have been playing games with each other?"

"Un." Song Xing Xing nodded. She clipped at another piece of fish and continued to eat. "I didn't know about it in the beginning. But after he was announced as the spokesperson of that game, I found out that we were in the same guild and had fought countless monsters together."

Lu Xun sneered.

Not only that they were both playing the same game. It turned out that they were both in the same guild and fought monsters together.

Meanwhile, he was still searching for Song Xing Xing's ID name.

He also wanted to join her to fight monsters together.

Lu Xun lowered his head and continued to stuff a few more dishes into his mouth. However, he could not tell the taste of each dish he ate.

"Someone was spreading a rumor that Huo Yun Chen has been partying with a few underage girls in City H."

Song Xing Xing recalled that the production crew had gone to City H to shoot the drama.

"However, Huo Yun Chen and his manager had assured that those were only rumors. Someone had deliberately followed him around and snapped a few pictures from a certain angle. Unfortunately, there was no way to prove his innocence. At this time, the only thing we can do was to suppress the rumor."

Even though he was unhappy, Lu Xun still chose to explain what had happened to Huo Yun Chen. 

"Don't worry. The team is doing everything they can to find evidence to help him clear the rumor.. He will be fine."
