You Are Mine

All she could think of now is the pleasure that Joseph is giving him using his lips and hands and she wanted to give it back but all of a sudden, Joseph stopped kissing her and froze like he a bucket of cold water was poured onto him. He let her go as if he was burnt.

"Damn!", he muttered and punched the steering wheel. He went out of the car and slammed the door.

Christine was in shock, lost and was hurt. What just happened? She thought to herself. How could she let herself loose like that? She checked herself and found that her bra was unhooked and she has small lovebites on her neck and collarbone. She felt embarrassed and covered her face with both hands.

Her hands are shaking. She cried and after a few minutes, she stopped. She thought to herself that Joseph must have despised her more after what happened. Part of her wanted what happened but part of her also says to run away. She chose to run away. She will forget what happened and move on with her life. She will eventually forget it. Why would he make a big deal out of it? It was just a kiss and that was it. She composed herself and fixed her clothes.

Joseph stayed out of the car for almost half an hour. When he gets back in, he did not say anything but just started the car and started to drive. It was already 30 minutes past 3:00 in the morning. She doesn't know what is going on his mind but she did not bother to ask. She felt that he is in deep thought seeing his creased brows and tight lips.

She just let him be and acted as if nothing happened. This will be the last time that they will see each other and she will have her own life back in M City.

It took almost an hour before they arrived at the pier and the sun is already up, giving a golden yellow with a touch of orange color on the horizon. The pier ground is as busy as a bee and people are going back and forth, vendors are busy selling their products while laborers are busy loading and unloading cargo.

Joseph went to the ticket booth and bought a ticket for her. He bought a VIP room for her.The ship will be leaving in 15 minutes so all the passengers were already advised to go on board. Because her ticket is for VIP, Joseph was allowed to go in the ship. He took her luggage and went to the VIP entrance. The VIP rooms are on the 3rd floor of the ship and they have their own entrance and exit doors. They also have their own mess hall and entertain lounge. They have access to the top deck where most of the VP passengers go for sightseeing.

No one uttered a single word. Joseph lead the way and she silently followed her. Her room was in Room 364 which was located near the viewing deck. Joseph opened the door using the card key and made way for her to go in first. After she was in, he followed carrying her luggage.

The room was big enough for 4 persons. There is one big bed which was neatly covered with a plain white sheet and pillows. There is a little dresser near the headboard of the bed, a small comfort room and a flat-screen TV mounted on the wall opposite the bed. The travel will take three days and 2 nights but since she is in a VIP room, she will have a comfortable journey. She scanned the whole room and she felt like she is inside a hotel room. This is her first time to travel by sea and she did not know that there is such a room like this.

Joseph placed her luggage beside the bed and sit at the edge of the bed, just looking at her. She avoided his gaze and went to the small window. She peeked through the window and she saw the sun casting its golden ray on the sea and the mountains. This is a new day and she should welcome it with open arms. She promised to be strong for her grandfather and will face all the challenges head-on.

She felt that Joseph was already at her back. She composed herself and turned around. She met her eyes, dark as usual but this time he looked hesitant and doubtful.

"Thank you for getting me a comfortable room", she said with the intention to send him away.

"You don't have to go if you want to", he said with his eyes fixed on her.

"You only have to apologize and promise to stay clean and I can take you back to the mansion", he continued when she remained silent.

"I have to nothing to apologize for", she said and looked away from him. Celine is pregnant and she will not stop until she gets what she wants. Her dad will be caught between the two of them and that is the last thing that she wanted to do. Whatever happened between her and Joseph was just a spur of the moment and has no meaning. She has nothing left for her there, she must go back where she belongs.

"This is only temporary and when the right time comes, I will take you", he said and kissed her on the forehead.

Christine did not hear the whole thing he said because of the loud sirene to signal that ship is about to leave and all visitors should go down. She heard the first and last part only of what he said so she thought he said "this is only you" and she just shrugged her shoulders.

"Thank you once again and I think you have to go now", she said and opened the door for him.

Joseph sighed and went out of the door. Before he left, he gave the key card to her and a stack of cash from his pocket. Christine tried to decline it but Joseph held her hands and forced her to take it.

"You will need that once you get to M City", he said and tried to hold her hand a little longer but Christine shook it loose.

Joseph turned away and left. Christine closed the door and dived into the bed. She cried. She cried for a long time until she fell asleep.
