You Are Brighter Than Stars

Chu Lingyu looked at Xu Chencan with a pained expression. Unable to restrain himself, he reached out to touch her, wanting to comfort her.

"I'm fine." Xu Chencan rubbed Chu Lingyu's hand and said with a smile.

Because of her understanding, Chu Lingyu's hand movements became a bit lighter. He held Xu Chencan in his arms, pressing against her hair and saying, "As long as I am here, there will be no more pain."

Xu ChenCan closed her eyes, enjoying the rare warmth.

She turned her head back to look, and lowered her eyes dejectedly, as the hand around Chu Lingyu's waist grew even more forceful.

As for how they managed to get back to the city, Xu Chencan didn't feel a thing.

When she woke up, she was in Chu Lingyu's arms, and the person next to her was looking at her gently.

"You're awake?" Chu Lingyu asked in a hoarse voice.

When he woke up early in the morning and heard such a magnetic sound, Xu Chencan felt his heart palpitate as he turned around with a guilty conscience.

The hand Chu Lingyu had placed on her waist exerted force, and she once again fell into his embrace.

"I want to run if I sleep? "Hmm?" Chu Lingyu whispered as he placed a burning kiss on the back of her smooth neck.

"Let go of me first." Xu Chencan struggled a little, her face so red that it was about to drip blood.

Seeing her bashful expression, Chu Lingyu smiled, but still let him go.

He got off the bed bare-chested and walked towards Xu Chencan's cloakroom, taking out the clothes he wanted to wear today.

"Eight." Xu Chencan was curled up under the blanket, staring blankly at his stomach muscles.

Chu Lingyu was in the office every day, but why did he still have abs? Unlike the people in the hospital, there weren't many with muscles.

Sensing that Xu Chencan's gaze had not left her body, Chu Lingyu decided to turn around and slowly button her clothes for her to see.

"How is it? Are you satisfied with what you saw?" After dressing herself, Chu Lingyu asked playfully.

"I didn't see anything." Xu Chencan guiltily retorted, directly covering herself with a blanket.

This was just too cute. Seeing that there wasn't much time to wash up, Chu Lingyu no longer teased her and quietly left the room.

After confirming that there was no sound from outside, Xu Chencan slowly popped his head out of the window and got off the bed.

Feeling everyone's attention on him, Xu Chencan furrowed his brows uncomfortably, speeding up his pace and returning to his office.

As soon as she entered, she saw that everyone was staring at her.

"What's going on with all of you?" Xu Chencan looked at everyone awkwardly and asked.

"Dr. Xu." A rather short and balding bespectacled man stood up and pushed his glasses up on the bridge of his nose. He asked, "Weren't you really going to get married before?"

Xu Chencan was surprised for a moment. He did not expect them to still be talking about it.

However, Xu Chencan still showed his utmost patience as he smiled and nodded, "I was just the one who gave you some pointers."

After she finished speaking, she noticed that everyone started to whisper to each other again.

"Do you have any other questions?" Xu Chencan became even more curious. These people were probably hiding something from him.

This time, no one continued to talk to her and started to do their own thing. However, when they inadvertently looked at her, their eyes changed.

"Dr. Chen." Xu Chencan walked over to his seat and sat down. Looking at his colleague, he whispered, "I feel like everyone is looking at me strangely. Is there a problem?"

Doctor Chen looked at Xu Chencan, carefully observing his surroundings before taking out his phone.

"What is this?" Xu Chencan looked at him and asked in confusion.

"Someone said it today." Doctor Chen whispered to Xu Chencan.

Xu ChenCan also took out her cell phone and checked her WeChat. There was no one in Doctor Chen's group. She immediately understood that someone was discrediting her.

"Haha …" She laughed coldly and tossed the phone onto the table, ignoring the people around her.

It was just that she had not been paying attention for long, and Xue Tianning had called her over, presumably for this matter as well.

She had just walked in when she saw Xue Tianning pressing a finger to her forehead, as if he had encountered something very troublesome.

"I've already talked to Chu Lingyu, let's have dinner together tonight, this matter is resolved." Xue Tianning said with a frown, as if there was nothing he could do about it.

"Why are you looking for him?" Xu Chencan looked at him with a dissatisfied expression, as if he were complaining about meddling in other people's business.

Seeing that she didn't agree, Xue Tianning smiled wryly. If it was possible, he wouldn't want to do this either.

Glancing at Xue Tianning, Xu Chencan was sulking, but he still sat down.

Xu Chencan lowered her head, seemingly lost in thought. After a long moment, she lifted her head and smiled.

It seemed like she still did not understand his intentions. Xue Tianning sighed helplessly but said nothing in the end.
