365 Battle Against Silver Death (5)

The falling statue killed several silver-armored players.

Isaac sighed in relief and surprisingly received all the XP from killing the players. The game calculated that he was indeed responsible for killing them.

There were too many names to count that got killed, and he couldn't bother to see whether Sitka was also there. He saw himself leveling up. Then, he left the area to continue his battle somewhere else.

Shortly afterward, a man with destroyed armor and disheveled hair crawled out from the destroyed statue. His eyes were filled with hate as he murmured.

"My… Prey…"

"Whew…" At the top of a small hill. An adorable-looking girl with a camera hanging from her neck finally reached the top of the hill. In front of her was a steep slope that led to the battlefield.

Her eyes sparkled as she saw the endless battles, "This will be my big scoop!"

She took her camera and began taking pictures with a thrilling look.

In Superfort.

A group of well-dressed men was gathered around a small table. The room was dimly lit, and the smell of dampness was wafting through the closed space.

The only light source came from the gas lamp placed in the middle of the table. The light illuminated their serious faces.

The silence had continued for several minutes. It caused the atmosphere to turn grim and solemn. Then, one of them began tapping the wooden desk, which garnered everyone's attention.

"Silver Death…" His words were oozed with hate. The one who spoke was a man with short black hair and wealthy-looking attire. The current location for their meeting definitely didn't fit with their status.

They used to live in extravagant mansions, but now they had to hide like rats in sewers.

The well-dressed men who heard his words clenched their fists until blood began dripping down.

"Haahh…" He took a deep breath before continuing, "Silver Death is currently fighting against alliance forces of Stronglord."

"So what?" A short man with chubby cheeks asked with a depressed look, "They will win anyway… They always do…"

"Enough!" The one who first spoke up stood up while slamming the side of his fist into the table, "I know you all are scared. I am too, but this is the best chance to take back what was ours!"

"Silver Death has acted unreasonably far too long." Another man said. He was dressed in luxurious robes with the symbol of a lion on the shoulder.

"What is your plan?" One of them asked.

"Attack their Guild Building, and burn it to the ground!"

Everyone seated around the table looked shocked.

"Are you mad?! They will find out that it was us!"

The one who spoke first turned solemn, "No one is guarding it… They think that no one will do anything out of fear, but they are wrong."

"With fear, anger follows." His face became enraged as memories resurfaced in his mind. Only several weeks ago, their family was living a relaxed life, but then the Players appeared, and everything changed.

At first, everything was quite similar. However, the Players grew far stronger than anyone could have ever expected.

King Michael, the leading figure of the Silver Death, attacked them and managed to win after a long battle.

Most of their families were slaughtered during that battle, and not many were able to survive.

They had to go into hiding. Even their hopes were extinguished. They never thought that they could get their revenge.

After all, Players were immortal, and they grew stronger at a frightening rate.

But, the little birds sang that told Silver Death attacked another City, that was just idiotic in their opinion.

"This is for our dead family members…" He finished by showing his clenched fist dripping with blood.

They looked at each other and nodded with serious looks.

"It's time to have our revenge…"

BOOM!

BAM!

Inside the hall.

Colossus smashed the ground with his one-handed axe. However, Tobi was like a slippery eel and managed to evade each strike.

He fired several arrows that got smashed into pieces by the axe. Then, Colossus bolted forth with the axe already in swinging motion.

Tobi ducked and managed to dodge the terrifying slash. Then, he pulled out an arrow and tried to stab it into Colossus' thigh, but he was prepared for it and jumped back with room to spare.

Then, Tobi placed that same arrow into his bowstring and fired it without hesitation.

Whoosh!

The arrow whooshed through the air but was destroyed into pieces by Colossus' terrifying strike.

The previously destroyed hall was even more devastated. Large crevice-like cracks reached the Realm Portal, and it was a surprise that the floor hadn't collapsed yet.

"You cannot win," Colossus said and felt his hand itching. The Realm Portal was only several meters away from him. He wanted to pull out his teleportation pearl and steal the portal.

That was their only goal, after all. They never fought because of pity, pride, or personal grudge. They have only one goal, and that was to steal the Realm Portal.

It didn't matter how many of them died. As long they get their hands on the Realm Portal, everything would be insubstantial.

However, Tobi was perfectly blocking him from going toward the Realm Portal. At first, Colossus never thought about anyone in Black Arrow Core Team as a threat, but he had to admit that Tobi was far stronger than anyone would have ever thought.

"Yeah… I can't." Tobi lowered his bow. But then, he grinned as he felt a presence nearing the hall, "But, we can."

"?!" Colossus' body went cold as something was approaching with deadly speed from the dimly lit path. Soon, the figure became visible. A short girl with a shy look entered the hall with a bow already placed on her arms.

"Is this a joke?" Colossus said aloud and felt enraged, knowing that he felt a slight sense of fear. If his subordinates heard about him getting scared by this short girl, he would lose all fear and respect he had garnered so far.

"Colorful." Tobi nodded toward the short girl, who stopped next to him. She shyly nodded and looked toward the large man. Even though his red eyes would scare anyone, she didn't step back, instead took several arrows from the quiver.

"Like I said." Tobi then said to Colossus, "I might not be able to win against you. But, we will definitely can."

"Enough of the jokes!" Colossus screamed and smashed his axe at the short girl.

Colorful's knees bent as she jumped toward the falling axe. Then, she fired an arrow that landed perfectly on the side of the axe.

Colossus' eyes widened in horror as the axe was suddenly deflected to the side. From the corner of his eye, he could see Colorful's figure coming closer with an arrow placed on the bowstring.

Then, she fired another arrow, and Colossus could do nothing except prepare for the impact.

SPURT!

The arrow pierced his eye and reduced his HP by a dangerous amount. Then, a weird ugly green color began spreading around Colossus' face, stopping him from breathing or making any movements.

The arrow was poisoned!

Colorful landed on the ground with a smile on her face. Then, Tobi jumped toward Colossus with a grin, "Like I said… We will win!"
