What A Dream Wants

57 Steven Does Stuff. Max And Jess Meet New Friends.

The entire liver!

"Wow. I wish I had a portion of that pig liver." Steven sighed. "It looked so appetizing. Too bad... After you started eating, you didn't stop."

Olivia glared at Steven but was too full to even refute his statements.

"It did look amazing," Lukas nodded, "but the honey coated crispy pork was amazing too. Thank you for the meal, Steven."

"No problem. Glad to be a valuable member to this team!" Steven beamed, his lips curving into a slight smirk as he looked at Olivia.

Olivia glared at Steven but was too WRONG to even refute his statements.

"You know, I do wonder what the bear is doing in that school." Steven put his hand under his chin, pondering this slight whim.

Meanwhile in the Academy...

The bear was scratching its butt in the corner of the room.

The little kids were sitting, eating lunch.

Max rubbed his content belly. He was too full to even stand up.

"This school gives free lunch! It's like… a lot of food!" He told Jess.

His loud voice prompted looks from some of the other words.

Jess nodded, and as he did, small breadcrumbs fell from the corners of his mouth.

Another kid, most likely five years old, took a disdainful sniff as he looked at the two uncivilized country bumpkins. HE was eating HIS bread with a spork and a knife. He elegantly stabbed in, and, using his knife, delicately swished and whished his knife back and forth, creating beautiful chunks of bread. He plopped the chunks of bread into his mouth and chewed carefully.

"Why is that guy eating his bread like that?" Max asked Jess.

Jess raised his shoulders in response and continued stuffing his face.

"He probably eats... for hours." Max continued.

The boy, hearing them, blushed. He was embarrassed. He stood up, his face red, but he quickly gained his composure.

"What right do you have to criticize me!" He coldly said. "I eat like this because I have manners!"

"Does manners mean eating bread with a knife and a spork. Do people do this because they have nothing to do and too much time to spend?"

Jess tilted his head in response and continued stuffing his face.

"I-I do NOT have too much time to spend!" The boy protested, "I do n-not!" His last word was a small squeak.

At this point, Max decided he was gonna focus on eating food.

Jess nodded in response and continued stuffing his face.

This left a very frustrated boy standing near them.

"Oh yeah!" Max asked, "What's your name? Let's be friends!"

"Why should I tell you?" He scoffed.

"W-What? Why are you ask-"

"Do you have any friends?"

"Okay fine!" My name is Cyril. Cyril of the Raiden family."

"Sigh Will?" Max asked.

"No! Cyril!" He shouted. "C-Y-R-I-L. It means ruler."

Cy stated this with a proud look on his face.

"My full name is Maximillian. It means the greatest. So my name is the greatest. It means that your name is not as good." He told Cyril. "You can call me Max. I'll call you Cy, for short."

"Wait, what?" Cy exclaimed.

Too late.

Jess finally looked up from his food. "He did that with my name, too. My full name is Yishay. He heard Jess Say. He told the whole village. Now, I'm Jess."

"Jess is a much better nickname then Yishay anyways." Max patted Jess on the shoulders.

The bear scratched its butt again.

"Do you guys even know how to cultivate?" Cy asked.

"Pfft, of course," Max replied. "My teachers are super smart."
