We Live in Dragon's Peak

36 Watch out for drunks.

A bearded man looking down on me from the horse.

He wears more fine armor than the patrol soldiers around him and has a thick straight sword on his hips. With the treasure balls in place, it's probably a spell sword.

Grey hair. He had a second face, a bearded beard and a playful appearance, but he also felt elegant.

I don't even know if I'm a giant, but I know my disappointed body comes from above my armor.

He looks tall too.

"Hey, what are you talking about?"

I ask the man on the horse back. [M]

I can't believe the guy who put the patrol around was looking for us, which means he must have been looking for us during the day.

But if you admit it, there's no point in running away.

Let's keep this place as long as we can.

Luckily, this is a street, a little far from the inn you're staying in and you haven't found it, and if you're on the run, I'm confident.

Anyway, now I've got a new escape leg. I was confident that I would be able to escape alone.

Oh, I still have Neemia on my shoulder, but this kid wouldn't even feel in his luggage.

Neemia was watching me grow up on my shoulders. [M]

Where people are concerned, they imitate cats, don't they? Because if you talk, you're in a lot of trouble.

The man on the horse only glanced at Niemia for a moment, then came down from the horse smiling bitterly at me. I knew you were tall. I'm only as tall as his chest plate.

And the patrol is moving to surround me. I'm noticing it right.

Passengers crossing the street were intrigued by wild horses who ran away with something.

I don't want to stand out.

I guess I should have grown up in the inn. But if I stayed, what would I have done to the women who came up from the bath...

The bearded man, who doesn't know what's inside of me, pointed at me.

"You are that one. Look... what is it?

"It's a daytime dragon tribe commotion."

"Yeah, yeah, that. That's an important reference, isn't it? Oh, no. Didn't you say it was a beautiful woman?"

"No, so. He's the cute little boy with the chestnut hair next to her."

"Yeah, yeah, I was"

A sort of unmotivated, bearded man and a patrol soldier who sighs and assists.

You're not nervous at all.

"I noticed right after I saw you. What are you doing during the day?"

Haha, and another sigh leaked from the patrol soldiers around me to the bearded man scratching his head.

Apparently, he's a worthless boss.

Someone who didn't even know about the disturbances during the day often found me in the street crowd.

He looked at me and felt like he was coming straight over here without hesitation.

Whatever it is, I'll calculate my escape to this unnerving exchange.

I'm fine with being surrounded.

In front of my new escape, there's no point in a siege net, is there?

I try to build strength in my body. [M]

shiatsu, and grabbed his left arm.

"Why don't you just stand there and have a drink in a tavern around here?"

It was the bearded man who grabbed me. To the extent that it was lightly gripped, I couldn't seem to shake it off for any reason.

By the way, I'm a minor, so I'd rather have a dining room than a liquor store. Not if you're swallowing it.

"Oh, you didn't name it. I'm Ludriard. Trooper Platoon Length"

I say and smile. Mr. Rudriard's eyes did not have the color of alarm.

Actually, I thought this guy might be awesome.

"Shake hands for now"

Bending over, Mr. Ludriard, who reached for his empty hand according to my gaze, smelled like alcohol.

Eh, me with an aggressive face.

"Oh my God, did it smell like alcohol?"

Haha, and cheerfully laughing, Mr. Ludriard has forcefully taken my right hand and shook my hand.

You let go of my left arm, but my right hand, which I shook, was held back disappointingly.

"Work after sundown, if you haven't had a drink."

"You've been drinking all day."

Mr. Rudriard was laughing at the patrol's penetration.

I wonder why a platoon captain is the kind of person who drinks because it's night when he's on duty.

Besides, the soldiers around me don't seem to blame it.

Thank you. The patrols and the platoon leader, Mr. Rudriard, seem close.

It was soothing, we all enjoyed working together, there was an atmosphere.

But that's none of my business, right? Somehow we have to untie Mr. Rudriard and get out of here.

I don't mind running away like this, but I can't vouch for Mr. Rudriard.

"Oh, even in this situation now, are you willing to run away? Or is it just a way to make sure you get away with something?"

There was a sharp light in Mr. Ludriard's eyes, which should have laughed with the patrol soldiers, at some point.

I knew this guy wasn't the only one. The words and actions are relaxed, but the main points are firmly contained.

"I don't hate to mess around, but if I can, I'd like to run errands and have a drink."

"You're already drinking."

"Hey, I got one of these"

Mr. Ludriard smiles bitterly at my penetration.

"You're going inside too."

'Cause I know an old man who's scared.'

"Yeah, I want you to introduce me."

"You can't do that. That old man lives in seclusion with a stranger."

"Oh, you're going to feel good with me. I actually want to live secluded in the country, too, really."

"You don't look like that at all."

Me and Mr. Ludriard have a casual conversation.

But there was an attack underwater.

That said, it's not important.

I managed to unravel my right hand with my handshake, and Mr. Rudriard was just stopping it.

It's lightly gripped and seems like it can be easily solved, but I can't.

What, the master of this handshake?

"Oh, boy. You're in a lot of trouble."

It's unclear what's all this stuff, but Mr. Rudriard laughs bitterly.

"Having a drink, I thought. Hey, why don't we just talk over there?"

Mr. Rudriard pointed to the tip of an unpopular building. There's no light ahead. It is true that the wheat fields should have spread around here, except for the buildings along the streets.

"You guys, scatter the wild horses around you and wait."

When Mr. Rudriard ordered, the soothing atmosphere from the patrol soldiers to earlier vanished in an instant, and we took up our own work in a hand crafted motion.

"Come on, let's go fix a lot of problems"

A lot?

I'm sure you'd like to hear more about the daytime thing, but I wonder what other issues there are.

Leaning his neck, Mr. Rudriard invites me to a dark wheat field.

I still keep shaking my hand lightly, but I can't shake it. On the contrary, I was taken by Mr. Rudriard without being able to resist.

I don't know, this guy.

The look, the atmosphere, the words and deeds, everything doesn't match. I know there's a lie somewhere, but I couldn't see through it with less experience in my life.

"Come on, let's go around here."

Mr. Rudriard stopped a little further down the trail inside the wheat fields.

Around there was wheat that grew to about my height before harvest, shaking in a breeze and screaming.

The stars had already blinked in the sky, and there was only enough brightness to manage to see around in the moonlight.

What do you want?

I've come this far, and I've noticed.

My body is nervous about what's to come.

"No matter how many nights, it's weirder not to notice in such a shitty way of hiding. Come out now."

Mr. Rudriard turned to the darkness and raised his voice.

"Kuku. I was trying to be noticed on purpose. You're an idiot to keep soldiers away even though you've noticed us."

Saying and emerging from the darkness were more than twenty men.

Everyone reveals themselves from the wheat fields at the end of the trail.

There are probably no people lurking in the rear or in the wheat fields around.

I'm in training, too, and to some extent, I'm able to find signs of people, right?

So I realized that someone was trying to kill us, too.

But I can't believe it was such a large number.

I'm surprised, I open my eyes.

"Or what. Did you pay to give us that hungry ghost there?"

to do it, and a man who laughs disgusting.

Oh, yeah?

I looked up at Rudriard in awe. [M]

"No, no, no way. I wouldn't give such a pretty boy to tough bastards like you."

Haha, and Mr. Ludriard laughs without nervousness.

I stroked my chest down relieved, but I wonder if this man's lack of tension can be helped.

Look at Mr. Ludriard, who laughs cheerfully, and the people who show up are swelling their anger.

I saw the people who showed up again.

A look like they're all unreliable. Some pieces of equipment without a sense of unity are leather armor, while others are full body armor. Weapons are also varied, ranging from daggers to two-hand axes.

But all we can say in common was that all weapons seemed fine.

The disparity between protective equipment and weapons was distorted, which in turn gave rise to an eerie atmosphere.

"We have nothing to do with you. What I want is the starving ghost and the woman I'm supposed to take with me."

says a man with a song knife.

Looking for me and Mistrals...

"Ha-ha-ha, is this one of yours?"

Mr. Rudriard looks down on me.

No, no, no, that's not why.

I shook my head and denied it.

"Shit. You're an idiot."

A man with a hammer strikes his tongue.

"We're here to make daytime enemies."

More than twenty men drained their weapons simultaneously.

"I regret selling a fight to the Dragon Nation."

I was wary of the words of a man with an axe.

Did the daytime men have company? Besides, he calls himself the Dragon Nation again.

Is it that so many dragon tribes are descending on Dragon Peak?

I thought so and I snuck up on Niemia while she was on her shoulder.

If those people are truly dragon people, they ring, and I think to my heart.

Niemia's with Old Sleighsta, and you can read my mind, right?

But Niemia looked up at me and just shook her left and right as she sifted her neck.

I see, you're a fake after all.

Somehow, Niemia and Mistral seem to know the race just by looking at it.

Demons and Divine tribes have the same abilities, but it's amazing how you can tell just by looking at them.

Well, that's what I found out to be fake, and what do I do?

Now I look up to Rudriard. [M]

Mr. Rudriard noticed my gaze and smiled.

"All right, this is your problem. I hope you solve this on your own. I'll watch."

"Yeah, yeah."

Lightly abandoned, I screamed. [M]

Oh, I don't know.

Actually, I thought you might be awesome. I was hoping for Mr. Rudriard's skill.

The fake dragon tribe people seemed unexpected, too, and I was surprised.

"Ha. It's an extraordinary victory. If you take a hard look there, you'll miss it."

"Well, thank you. I don't want to work at night anyway. And I'll have to report it when I get back to headquarters."

A fake dragon tribe man who regained his mind and gained his prestige makes his face attractive.

It's too unexpected.

Why is someone so unmotivated a squad leader of a patrol soldier, and I wanted to go into it aloud, too?

But that's not the case now.

What to do.

I think I'll run away and get Mistral to help me.

No, no, you can't. It's not manly to try to rely on Mr. Rudriard or immediately ask Mistral for help.

I'm going to be a worthy man. [M]

And I'll make Mistral and Louiseine fall in love.

With my determination, I confronted more than twenty pseudo-dragon tribes.
