We Are Destined - Let Me Pamper You

There was an awkward silence in the car, Feng Jianyu took an audible breath, "I'm sorry! I should not have behaved rudely to you…"

Xiu Mei didn't reply for some time… he waited patiently for her to say something.

"I'm sorry too! I exaggerated the matter, you were concerned about me but I once again acted rashly and almost got involved in another accident…", without lifting her eyes she answered him guiltily.

"I won't let anything happen to you…" He tried to ruffle her hair but she avoided him. "No thanks! I can take care of myself, I'm not a fragile woman who needs a man to take care of her".

He chuckles, "No doubt in that! You are definitely not a fragile woman, but a little careless woman, Right?"

She snorts at him as she reached her hand to get her bag from the back seat.

Feng Jianyu frowned, "What are you doing?" Xiu Mei takes out an energy bar from her bag, "It will take an hour to reach home, but I'm starving…" she answered as she unwraps the bar.

Feng Jianyu snatched the bar from her hand and threw it out of the window.

"What th...."

"This sugar coated bar will do no good to your body, you need solid food to satisfy your hunger" He chided her. "Check the brown bag I brought, that's what you need at the moment" He sounded mysterious.

She wrinkled her nose, "Brown bag? What's in that?" Taking out the bag from the back seat she opened it and found a large bento box packed inside it. As she uncovers the lid of the box, an amazing aroma spreads in the car, making her drool.

"Hahh..! Kung Pao chicken, sweet and sour pork, Sauteed Shrimp and Jiaozi… Hmmmm!! It smells so good" She exclaimed. "Is this all for me?" she looked at him with shining eyes.

Feng Jianyu smiles at her innocence, "Yes! I know how careless you are when it comes to eating on time, so I asked my chef to prepare a bento box for you…"

"Really? Say thanks to your chef" Without lifting her eyes off of food she thanked his chef and started savoring the yummy dishes.

Feng Jianyu "….."

Feng Jianyu indignantly eyed her for a second, 'Thanks to the chef? Did she have a hearing problem? I clearly said that I got it prepared for her… Isn't she should be thankful to me? Mei, you are so mean in giving compliments' he snorted.

"mmm..."She m.o.a.n.e.d. "Your chef is amazing… Tell him tomorrow I love him for his amazing cooking"

Hearing this Feng Jianyu's expression darkened further, 'Love my chef? How can you love my chef? Am I even worse than my chef? You can love anybody in this world except me….' He mumbled to himself, "I'll fire him tomorrow…." He was eating his chef's vinegar.

Xiu Mei frowned and looked up at him curiously, "Huhh? Fire whom?"

Feng Jianyu got alarmed for a moment when she heard him, but acted innocently, "Huhh? What? Did you hear something?" He glanced at her questionably.

Xiu Mei c.o.c.ked her head at him, "You said something about 'fire him' " Feng Jianyu shook his head.

Feeling confused she rubbed her neck. 'I did hear him mumble something, he is lying! Liar… ' Giving him a dirty look she shrugged her shoulder. 'Anyway why am I bothered, better concentrate on food'

'Grrrr…..rrrrrrrr....'

Feng Jianyu's stomach grumbled….

Hearing this voice, the shrimp which Xiu Mei was holding in between her chopsticks dropped back to the box. She sneaked a glance at the man beside her, 'How can I forget about him? He must be hungry too. We both get off late from office and haven't eaten our dinner yet. Furthermore, he is late because of me...'

She looked at the bento box, 'Why not share it with him? Let him eat it too, after all, he is the one who got it for me.'

'Xiu Mei, but why care about him?' She frowned thinking about this.

But the next second she reasoned herself for her peculiar behavior, 'It's not that I care about him, never!! This food quantity is too much for me to finish it all by myself… Why waste food? Let him share it too! It would be a pity if this tasty food goes to waste'.

That bento box was actually too big for her to finish, it was deliberately packed for three people as per Feng Jianyu's order. His intention was to share it with her in the car.

Satisfied by her own reasoning she nodded her head and looked at Feng Jianyu with a straight face, "CEO Feng, I'm a nice person, although your chef prepared this food for me but it's ok if you want to share it…" her acting was bang on perfect.

Feng Jianyu got surprised by her indifferent attitude. "Why? Are you worried about me?" Looking at her with raised brows, he teased her.

Rolling her eyes, "hmpf…. Worried for you? Don't imagine wild things" Squinting her eyes at him she continued, "Don't give too much importance to yourself, I don't like wasting food that's why I'm offering you to share it with me…If you don't want to, then be it" she shrugged her shoulder and put a piece of Kung Pao Chicken in her mouth.

Feng Jianyu "….."

"Instead of lying can't you just accept it that you care about me… will your height decrease if you'll accept the truth?" He retorted back with the same intensity.

Pointing her finger, she warned him "Don't you dare comment on my height!"

Faking a laugh he mocks her, "Hahaha….Why? Because it's a touchy topic for you? SHORTYYY….." Feng Jianyu deliberately trailed the last word.

Feeling resentful by his remark on her height, she c.o.c.ked her face to the right and came closer to him to look straight into his eyes. "Shorty? Then what are you? An electric pole? Have you seen yourself? You look like a walking talking giraffe wearing a business suit, attending meetings and and and driving car…"

Feng Jianyu saw her cute angry red face, her clear big eyes, her luscious red lips which were slightly swollen because of the spicy red sauce she just ate. To soothe her red lips from burning sensation she was l.i.c.k.i.n.g them continuously.

This scene was too much for him to handle, for a moment his mind went blank seeing the girl he d.e.s.i.r.es most so close to him. He forgot that they were in a car and he is the one driving it.

Suddenly when the car drifted he came back to his senses. "Xiu Mei, if you don't get back to your seat as soon as possible, then something unfavorable might happen" he warned her in a deep husky voice.

"Huh? Unfavorable? What is he talking about?" She promptly returned back to her seat but keeps looking at him curiously. Feng Jianyu was trying to control his breath.

After some time Xiu Mei asked worriedly, "Hey! Are you Ok?"

"Hmm…" without meeting her eyes he nodded. His face was red, 'God Mei, you are a deadly drug. If just a close look of your face can do this to me, then what will happen when I got to kiss you?'
