XIU MEI's LAB-

Night at 10:00 p.m.

She was so engrossed in her work that she forgot to keep the track of time. Upon realizing that her arms are sore from the continuous typing, she got up from her seat and stretched her body.

It is nothing new for her to work till late in the lab. Whenever she comes to the office, this lab becomes her second home and sometimes she used to spend 4-5 days continuously. There is a 1BHK resting lounge specially designed for her.

She had already set her bedroom as per her preference and a mini wardrobe filled with more than 100 sets of clothes. Her kitchen is a fully equipped modern kitchen, to facilitate her to cook something if she wants.

Looking at the time she yawned, 'It's too late to go home now…I'll stay here for the night… Lots of work is pending… At home that monster head...….'

-----TING------ Her eyes widened in shock.

'Monster headache??'

'Oh no! How can I forget? I have to pick him up'

Promptly she took her phone out to dial his number but stopped midway, 'It's too late… Will he still be waiting for me? No ways he must have gone home by now… Leave him be, just concentrate on your work Xiu Mei'.

She went back to her work station, but keeps on thinking about him, 'What if, he is still waiting for me?'

This 'What if' was haunting her continuously and not letting her concentrate on her work...

For the peace of her mind, she decided to call him, Looking at the name in her contact list she frowned, 'Jianyu? Really? You saved your number under this name? No bloody ways…. Let me change it to Monster …'

Satisfied by the changed name, she called him…

"Hey!"

"CEO Feng… you… ummmm… you… ummmmm....."

"It's ok Xiu Mei if you are busy in your work I'll wait for you… No need to hurry up for me…", before she could say anything, Feng Jianyu answered.

Xiu Mei was tongue tied after hearing this. Hit by guilty conscience she asked meekly, "Are you still waiting for me?"

Feng Jianyu : "I'm willing to wait for you for my whole life…"

"Cough… cough…. Sorry? What did you say just now?"

Feng Jianyu : "Just now? I'm willing to wait for you…"

Feng Jianyu : "oh! I said I'm willing to wait for you for the whole night since I don't have a ride right now, I've no other choice. But what did you hear?"

She harrumphed, "Nothing… I'll be there in 15 minutes…"

Feng Jianyu : "All right"

After hanging up the phone he chuckled at her reaction, however, Xiu Mei was little confused, whether she really heard it wrong.

Shaking off the thought from her mind she hastily organized her bag and went to the parking.

Stepping out of the elevator she saw a huge bouquet of yellow roses with a sorry teddy bear kept on the bonnet of the car.

She plucked the card attached to the bouquet, 'Sorry Mei! Don't be grumpy, don't be sad… I won't repeat it again. Waiting for your call. Love X.'

Putting the gifts in the back seat of the car she connected her phone to the hands-free and dialed X's number...

X : "That was fast Mei! I thought I've to put in more efforts", before she could say anything X said.

"Come-on X, you know my temper… the faster it came, the faster it gets down too, I don't drag these silly matters to infinity"

X : (Chuckles) "I know! But I still don't like when my little Tomato gets upset, you look ugly…"

"Ugly? Do you know X? I was about to apologize, but forget it now… you don't deserve it, I'm hanging up… bye"

X : "Hey! Wait! Wait! Little Tomato it's not good to be angry every time, I'm afraid no one will marry you…. This way you will..."
