We Are Destined - Let Me Pamper You

That day he called the day off early. After coming back to his cottage, he called Wang Shi.

Wang Shi: "Hey… "

"Hm… ", Feng Jianyu replied with a sound.

Wang Shi: "What happened? She rejected you?"

"No… She replied with a weak nod and a thank you", Feng Jianyu replied sounding depressed.

Wang Shi: "Well that's better than a direct No… You still have chances"

"Hm….", Feng Jianyu made a sound.

Wang Shi: "Come-on, Jianyu… It was your idea to test her on this final point… Now be prepared for the outcome too".

"I don't want to lose her at any cost", Feng Jianyu said firmly.

Wang Shi: "Then stop testing her… She is hardworking, honest, trustworthy, and ethical. What else do you want?… stop being insatiable."

"I am not being insatiable. You don't know the depth of her talent… Even I miscalculated her intelligence"

"Wang Shi: "What do you mean?"

"A few days ago she developed a computer virus and showed it to me playfully. She told me that it is a dangerous virus and no expert can fight with it. Once it enters a computer system it will destroy all the information permanently and no available software in the market can fight with it."

Wang Shi: "Then what happens? Don't tell me you actually tested it."

"I did! I got intrigued and provoked her to prove me its potential. So this naughty girl searched something on her laptop and send the virus to an unknown source." He was getting annoyed at her.

Wang Shi: "Unknown source? Where?"

"European Underworld's central database!", Feng Jianyu holds her head.

Wang Shi: "Cough….. cough…. Cough…."

"Yaaa…. Exactly! I enquired about it…. Entire European underworld is in chaos right now. This 16-year-old innocent girl has shaken their foundation."

Wang Shi: "I am impressed! She is cool… But she is dangerous too".

"Exactly! That's why I want to test her on that perimeter. She is like a two-sided sword, if a talent like hers can be a blessing for my company, then a talent like her can be destructive too. Her one wrong move can destroy Feng Corporation completely." He took a deep breath.

"Today Feng Corporation is thriving and no other company can match us. We are the best in the industry and everyone wants to work with us. In good times everyone stands beside you to support you but what about in bad times? They leave you brutally to fend for yourself. Remember, when dad took over the company we were on the verge of bankruptcy. Even our most trusted employees join hands with our rivals and sold our secrets to them." He closed his eyes and shook his head, " I don't want to take any chance with her."

Wang Shi: "What if she rejects you?"

Feng Jianyu smiled. "If she says yes… I will tell her my true identity and will fulfill all her dreams."

He frowned, " If by chance she says no, then I will never come in front of her again and she will only get 25 million $ contract from me."

Wang Shi: "Then what about your long-time dream?"

"To hell with it! I will find some other way"

Wang Shi: "What's your next step?"

"I had been so good to her, doing everything that's best for her and I have already cleared my stance in regards to her and her product. Before the final round, I am going to provoke her by saying that my company has gone bankrupt and we are left with nothing."

Wang Shi: "That's a cruel way to test loyalty."

"I know, but I have to do it… If she decides to skip working with Feng Corporation and stands with me in my most difficult times, then she is definitely someone to keep beside. I will treasure her forever and will put my best efforts for her. I will turn the entire Feng Corporation upside down to fulfill all her dreams. But if she still goes ahead with Feng Corporation and chose to ditch me, then all her honesty, trustworthiness, ethics are no good for me."

Wang Shi: "I think she will come with you… That's my sixth sense saying to me."

"I am hoping for it too", Feng Jianyu crossed his fingers.

Wang Shi: "All right! I am hanging up first. You keep me informed."

After hanging up, he poured himself a cup of wine and sat down in the balcony. Looking towards the sky he sighed, 'Hey! Can you listen to me from here? Please let her stay by my side. Don't screw this up. I promise I would be kind to my staff for an entire month.'

First round was a multiple option exam. Participants were given 250 questions with four different options. They have to solve it within 2 hours.

Feng Jianyu decided to appear in this exam without cheating. Despite having access to the question paper, he appeared honestly like any other participant.

After the exam Alice was sitting in the library, biting her nails in nervousness. Feng Jianyu pulled out her hand from her mouth and scolded her, "Stop worrying for the result. I am sure you will pass. Look at your hand; are you going to eat your fingers also?"

"Tsk… I am not worried about me… I am worried about you. Don't know what you have done in the exam." She made a sound and retorted.

Feng Jianyu "..."

He pursed his lips and kept quiet. He himself was not sure whether he would be able to clear the first round of elimination or not. In the first round, 80% of participants will be eliminated.

Results were to be declared after 12 hours.

'TING'

Suddenly a notification came, results were out. They both opened their respective laptops and checked each other's results. Alice checked Feng Jianyu's result and he checked Alice's result.
