Wake Up As Mafia Boss

Chapter 62 - The Don And The Dopehead Executioner 2

The high elves used everything to dismantle his barrier.

Elder Kilo gave his five mages a strict order to use their tier 6 fire magic to penetrate it, whilst his six assassins would rush to slash it with their full power.

"Elder Kilo, you are a man of your word and a man who has a deep knowledge of the past. But this time, it is my time to end that. Buried your knowledge into the depth of the abyss," Hermes sighed and flicked his fingers. "What do you mean? The fight is not.... over yet," Kilo's left eyebrows raised up as he questioned it. Then, his lower body subconsciously fell on his knees.

All of his men dropped like a log. They were troubling to breathe properly.

The young Don walked forward, slowly.

He removed his mask, revealing his black hair and scarlet eyes. His gaze resembled a red moon above the dark sky.

He passed the eleven men who were struggling to stand up as he approached the elder who was trying to form a hopeless defensive stance.

"No need to stand up, elder. You're already lost," Hermes halted his advance, and he glared at his opponent's eyes. "Nonsense, you're a cheater. A cheating child who only lucky to have a powerful companion," Elder clicked his tongue and covered his mouth before he coughed blood again.

"But man, you're only hurting yourself. Speaking of which, having a companion is no different from what you're doing against me, you know," Hermes's shoulder raised up as he spoke his point. "You're a brave... a brave child, Sir Aljen. I totally agree with your point, but I wish.... you can... fight me properly," Elder Kilo used his remaining strength to stand up.

"Stop fighting like you're a protagonist of a novel. Accept the reality," Hermes heaved a sigh. "I, I, I have a family to... to protect. I, I have a promise to two... two important people who molded my will to... to live. I cannot... I cannot let this happen. Not like this, aaaaaagggh," Elder Kilo slowly stood up and activated a spell on his hand.

"A family man, huh. Is this the power of family? I believe that statement is only applicable to the playable female characters, you see. Elder, you're just an extra. You're not the main character here. I don't like to kill ― you," Hermes kicked his stomach which forced the elder to fall down on the transparent floor. "Goaagh," Elder Kilo coughed out blood and it lay scattered on his clothes.

'You're contradicting your words, you bastard,' Elder Kilo was mad.

'Man, what a hassle. Why does this idiot keep fighting back?' Hermes sighed again.

As he looked up at the face of the young Don, an image of his former master appeared on his mind.

'What's happening? That kick reminds me of someone who is a jerk as he is. This feeling.... this feeling of hopelessness and familiarity. Why do I feel like I've experienced this before?' Elder Kilo's lips trembled, and he consciously pressed a hand on his chest tightly.

Macedonia, 19 B.C.

There was a young man laying down on the plain field. He's looking up at the sky, picturing his life as a philosopher of his time.

His name was Kilomostre. A thousand miles was the meaning of his name.

He had no surname like his brothers since they belonged to a peasant family.

Kilo loved to read a variety of books related to history, algebra, and physics. His dogmatic personality made his brothers enroll him in an Academy.

Philosophy was one of the most popular careers during this era, so he enlisted his name to become an apprentice of the Disciples of Plato Academy located in the main city of their country.

From a careless and clumsy boy to a dignified philosopher-in-the-making, Kilo was one was a mover and a shaker in his school. His enthusiasm, self-discipline, and dedication molded his personality to its peak.

He earned a lot of outstanding awards, and he even got the respect of his peers within a year.

However, everything changed when the Ratican Empire attacked his country. The imperial troops turned their great city from a prosperous realm into a ruin-wrecked place. What was more, they pillaged it until the last sack of their rice.

The male soldiers gobbed women whether they were married or single. Worst but not least, their female imperial leaders captured the surviving men whether single or men and young male children to become part of their reversed harem.

All of the victims got mental breakdowns. They lose their sanity, wishing to have sex for eternity with their new master.

Luckily, Kilo and his three brothers, before the invaders reached their province, fleed for the eastern country and lived in Sofia City, the capital of Salgaria.

Sadness, grief, and deep sorrow were engraved into their head and heart. Everyone was mad, and they wished to retaliate against the Empire.

Two years after the invasion, Kilo suggested returning home. Enough was enough.

The war had ended, and their country was annexed by the Empire.

At first, his elder brothers reluctantly refused, but after a hundred attempts to sway him, his elder brothers finally agreed.

At last, they returned to their hometown, but an abandoned ruin caught their glances.

They were devastated when they returned home.

The young Damaso knelt down in sadness, lips retracted. He held back his tears to avoid breaking down.

The young Wamo covered his face, and he asked for the forgiveness of his fellow soldiers who died during the invasion.

Arak cried out loud like a baby who lost his toy, and he apologized for being a stupid man who couldn't do anything. He promised that he would name his familiars to his male friends who died without resistance.

Only Kilo remained stiff and unaffected. Not a single tear came out from his eyes.

It took them a week to get on their feet under the table, then they started to make changes. Since they couldn't beat the empire with their number, his brother recommended joining their enemy.

He learned that to beat their enemy, they had to know them first. They won't forgive nor forget what happened in their country.

Their revenge motivated them to live on and carry the wills of their fallen friends.

He won't forget what his brother Damaso declared that humanity should perish and a new race should emerge to rule them all.

'God doesn't exist. Only a supreme being of another world should rule us. Humans love war too much. Women are to be blamed. Undisciplined and warmonger males are born through the parental guidance of their mothers. Those noblewomen love to cheat, so they produce incompetent offspring. Their will and personality are passed to their children. Humans are trash, and one day, we will turn them into ash,' young Damaso declared, gravely.

The three brothers entered the Empire as they planned thereafter. His brother joined a secret cult and later, he invited them to enlist in their organization.

He learned from his brother that the leader of the Root was a human of earth. But since he gained a lot of experience, he reached the highest rank of the cultivators, the Evil God rank.

Their leader's mindset was too vast. He taught them that computers existed to assist humans.

Kilo read a book about the people who had tremendous power within their bodies. Since he mentioned the word computers, he theorized he had a system that could see the status of a person.

The leader of the Root acted like a spoiled and perverted brat. He loved to boast a lot, telling a lot of made-up stories to entertain them. For example, he was not a virgin and he dated a lot of girls from his former world. But the truth was, Kilo sensed his lies and he could foresee that he's an amateur and introverted boy with zero experience with women.

The leader of the Root taught them that they could oust the Empire out of his position. But it would take a long time to properly initiate their rebellion.

However, the only way to do that was to change their race. He introduced a mystical potion that could transform them into demon monsters known as the high elves.

Elder Kilo and his brothers voluntarily accepted their fate. Their height increased from fifty centimeters, and his hair turned blonde like a golden string of an Egyptian crown.

Then, their God used a lot of girls to transform them first. The experiment was successfully implemented, but there were some side effects that happened within the body of the female members. They subconsciously became pregnant, and they didn't know who the father was.

The children of the members became the first elves, a lower rank from the class society of their new race.

"Congratulations, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to the First Root," their leader announced. "Hail the Supreme Being," his members saluted him like their God.

They continued to lurk in the shadow and waited for the right opportunity. With the guidance of the Root leader, their family expanded, and the unexplained pregnancy of their new female members continued to increase their population secretly.

Year 708 A. D., the organization slowly succumbed the Empire into the abyss. Corruption and drug addiction were destroying the lives of human civilization.

The empire had a lot of enemies inside and outside of its territory after all.

But everything changed when a powerful spirit user appeared. The unknown black-haired child soldier killed their leader without a sweat. His harem members were surprised to hear his death, and all of their female members committed suicide out of their love and respect.

But Kilo knew that they died because of their contract with him.

All of the male members were devastated to see the butterfly effect of their leader's death.

After his death, Damaso was elected as the new leader of the First Root. Then, Kilo and his other brothers involuntarily became his cabinet members of the cult.

Due to the incident, their main objective was to revive their supreme leader. On the other hand, Kilo wanted to live as he pleased. He was bored to live like a follower of a spoiled brat who only used his power to dominate his people.

He used his knowledge and past experience as an apprentice of a philosopher to enter an Academy in the capital of the Empire. His brothers won't permit him without a valid reason, so he lied that he could use his skill to spy on their enemies.

One day, Kilo sneaked in to participate in the Romue Grand Museum since he heard that he could become a servant of a senator. The Senators would be his stepping stone to enter the palace and used his master's authority to gather information. However, out of his calculation, he caught the interest of the seventeen-year-old noble.

He had jet black hair and amethyst eyes as sharp as a wolf. His dress looked cheap, but his movement could be mistaken as a forty-year-old matured savant.

At first, Kilo was ambivalent about whether he should accept it or not. He believed he got scammed by the child because he lied about his status as a senator's child, so he ill-contrived grabbed a pen to sign his name on a relic paper. But he failed to check the content of the last paragraph that the signee had formed an eternal allegiance with the teenager.

"Rest assured, it's not a scam. It's called protection, you see. Go to the palace. I already told my sister that you'll be there. As long as you adhere to my command, you'll be fine, Sir Kilo," the boy placed a mask on his face and left. "Wait, what? Oi, who the hell are you?" Kilo angrily grabbed his right shoulder. "A talentless nobody, Sir Kilo," the boy responded with a dogmatic tone. Then, he left him without looking at his back.

The young Kilo wondered where the heck did he know his name. He couldn't remember his face because the contract was established in an impetuous moment.

Despite their age difference, the boy acted like an old man. They often exchanged quotes of famous philosophers, and he even spouted a lot of unknown words out of their dictionary. He even introduced him to the game of chess to play with.

He enjoyed the game with his master.

Their relationship improved from strangers to cordial, from cordial to loyalty. However, when their time together looked genuine, some political officials from the Senator weren't even happy at all.

Despite Kilo was not a pure Ratican, the boy looked at him in respect. He even bluntly declared that he's a more capable and competent courier than his corrupted senators, and he's more normal than his four heavenly knights, who would later be promoted as his four heavenly generals.

Kilo knew his master was an ordinary boy. He was a talentless magic user, but his tactful and tactical attitude made him special.

Somehow, he was worried that sometimes he's talking alone like you would mistakenly assume he had a screw loose inside his head. What was more, he questioned why he's always survived alone without a bodyguard from a hundred assassination attempts.

His master had a cute sister, who was often mistaken as his fiance.

Kilo was ambivalent whether they were blood-related or not because of her strange personality, and how she treated him more than a sibling.

Not to mention, every girl who tried to flirt with her brother died under unknown circumstances. He suspected she was behind all of this.

'Are the female humans of this era normal?' Kilo questioned inside his head.

On the second month of his service, Kilo was reading a book in the library when a woman approached him openly. It was none other than the sister of his master.

A platinum veil garment covered her whole face that only her amethyst eyes were visible to see. Her white outfit sparkled like an ocean under the sun.

Her round butt sat on the wooden chair next to him.

Her chest was as huge as a ripped melon, but her blue crescent moon medallion covered the cleavage properly.

Her body figure was a model of all women, and every man who saw her would fall in love with her like a naughty wolf.

"Greetings, Mr. Kilo," the lady on the robe waved a hand slightly to get his attention. "Greetings, milady. May I help you?" asked Kilo with a confused face. "Yes, I badly need your cooperation. I know it's a bit complicated, but I want to introduce you to my servant. Her name is Vesesa. Date her, okay," the lady pulled a tiny statue out on her cleavage. Then, she handed it over to him.

"Pardon?" Kilo blinked his eyes twice out of surprise. "Ara, it's too difficult to explain but rest assured, she's fine and healthy... for now. Of course, we don't have time left. I pray that you won't disappoint me, okay. Do it. Date her. Her life will bring a positive effect into your life. You will understand it someday, Sir Kilo," the lady tapped his shoulder, stood up slowly, and left him. "Huh?" Kilo tilted his head on the side cluelessly.

Her five ladies-in-waiting appeared and came to her side. Then, someone tapped his shoulder which made him flinch thereafter.

"What are you glaring at, Sir Kilo?" asked his master, who just came to check him. "Master, you surprised me. I, I was with your sister earlier. And she gave me something. By the way, I have a question to ask," questioned Kilo gravely. "Oh, my sister, huh. I don't know if I should be happy or not. I guess it's coming closer to the climax, huh. Sure, go ahead," his master permitted.

'Climax?' Kilo's right eyebrows raised up.

"Master, will someone accept who I am? Your sister recommended me to date this person. Here, take a look," Kilo worried, showing the statue of the girl. "Aaah, she's sexy. Wait, is she flat? Man, she's flat as a chopping board. Oh, I don't mean to insult her. Forget about it. Hmmm... she resembles someone. Oh, now I remember. She's Vesesa. So this is your fateful partner who will d... Oh, I almost slip it out. No matter. Follow what she said," his master scratched his head and turned around like it was nothing.

"Now, I'm worried. Master, isn't this wrong? I'm just a servant, you see. The Ratican law won't allow it. I'm, I'm... I'm not just a regular human," queried Kilo. "Even you're body and status in life is the least, your heart and mind are human. Look here, my sister is a saint, so if she says the blue is black, then the blue is black. C'mon, cheer up. I think it's about time to find a lover, you know. You're getting old, but it's a bit odd since you look like an immortal who doesn't age, or something like that. Nah, forget about it. By the way, remember this. Men like us should find a suitable partner who is normal, tactful, and petite. Stick this into your head, some girls are scary, so watch your back properly," Hermes lightly pounded his fist on his chest and walked away.

'Tactful and scary. Now that I think about it, it sounds like she passes his requirements. Wait, is she that scary?' asked Kilo inside his head.

After that moment, he changed his mind and followed what his sister told him.

He followed his master's advice.

He fell in love with the human servant named Vesesa, and her love helped him to fill the missing gap in his empty vessel. He discovered that there was still humanity inside his heart.

He even forgot his position as a spy and continued to devote his loyalty to his master and his girlfriend.

Due to their genetic difference, Kilo decided to study alchemy. He wanted to recreate a potion that could turn a human into a high elf like him or vice versa. He studied the taboo books which were found inside the deepest part of the library of his master in Scily.

He discovered a small folded black box with an unknown scribble of the past inside the labyrinth. He read the English word, Microsoft, when he discovered its switch. But unfortunately, he didn't know what was the password.

The machine was later destroyed because of its nuisance unexplained system.

Family or his lover, he had to choose. But he loved both sides, so he had to come up with a good solution to solve his problem.

His dedication increased after he learned that his lover had an incurable illness.

"Vesesa, do you want to become something greater than being a human?" asked young Kilo. "High elf? I don't know what it is, but I don't think it is a good idea. Kilo, stop joking around, will ya. Being a human is the greatest gift of God, you know," Vesesa giggled, mistakenly believing he's tripping her.

"I discovered a medicine that could help you extend your life beyond the life expectancy of a normal human, you see. I am not tripping you at all," Kilo explained promptly. "If you're serious about it, then I am touch, dear. If it is a medicine that could extend my time with you, why not? But if it is a medicine that changes my life as a human, I am afraid I have to decline the offer," Vesesa shook her head.

'Because I already know you're not a human. I know you want me to turn into an elf,' Vesesa smiled at him bitterly.

"W, why do you want to stay as a human?" Kilo questioned stuttery. "Because... Because I was born as a human, and I want to die as a human," Vesesa simpered.

"I don't think being a human is a blessing. Some of us choose to contract with a demon to seek for extension of life. To seek immortality. The others drink a forbidden juice to stay young. To seek everlasting happiness. What is more, there are a lot of humans who are willing to sacrifice their first life to seek a second chance to live in another world. Then, they will reborn in a different race as new powerful beings. But you're still want to stay like that," stated Elder Kilo explicitly. "But I am not them, Kilo. Not all humans are similar. We have different mindsets, beliefs, likes, dislikes, and steps to enjoy life, politically and ideologically. For example, you. You told me that you wanted to become a philosopher because that's what you envisioned. Dear, I know you're hiding your true identity from the mass because of what happened to your past. But Kilo, I want to die in this form. Please understand this, okay," Vesesa placed a hand on his cheeks, and Kilo gently grabbed it. Then, he gave in with a simple smile.

"Vesesa, you will die. Turning you to an elf is the right choice," Kilo insisted. She placed a hand on his cheeks. "Dear, at least, you will remember that you fall in love with a human," Vesesa smiled with a determined gaze.

"Your body will rot, you know. I don't know how can I even live without you. To tell you the truth, I am over eight hundred years old. Single," Kilo cried. "At least, you're no longer a virgin," Vesesa laughed it off.

"Why you?" Kilo pressed his forehead on her head. "Kilo, remember this. I hope you won't forget our time together. Protect the emperor as long as you can. He's the one who changed the world. He removed the corrupted female officials and end the feminist republic, turning this into a democratic society. I know you hated my country, but I'm sure you are loyal to your master, right? Then, stick with it," Vesesa needled.

"Man, I will. You don't have to worry," Kilo smiled at her. "Hey dear, have you heard that there is an upcoming election this coming March? One of the candidates is your master. Sooner or later, he will become the emperor and you will succeed as his Chancellor someday. But I don't think he will like it, but at least, our family will rise up from our status," Vesesa simpered bitterly.

"Why do you say that? Everyone wants to reach the highest position in this world," Kilo giggled. "One day, I will die. I pray that I will see him become our new emperor. Peasants, slaves, and selves love him, you see. But because our leader doesn't want to become one, I believe the people of the Ratican will force him to become one," Vesesa jeered.

'Him? That person will lead us? Nah, no way, even he's a genius, he's nobody,' Kilo laughed it off.

Two days later, his master was elected as the new emperor. All of the citizens rejoiced and celebrated his inauguration.

'Bruh,' Kilo's jaw dropped out of shock.
