Two as One Princesses

16. Hunters, Description and Causes

The town of Sanois is a short walk through the gates and the market is expanding, and even now it is quite vibrant.

However, of all the shops lined up, I was concerned that there were some that were not open.

When I say I am lively, not so much as I cannot walk, but I can sew and walk between the little ones. If you go inside the gate, will you be seen by mere children, not that noticeable?

Through places like the commercial district, you start to feel a little disturbed by the air.

It must be a busy thing, but unlike that in the market, it's a lot rough.

People walking also see a glimpse of them holding weapons or wearing protective gear, not ordinary people in simple clothes.

In the liquor store I saw along the way, fewer men were serving liquor, even though there were still days.

"What Ayn said about the organization is the Hunter Union, right?

'Right. There was a difference in how it was called, but for now I was stepping on the idea that there would be an organization that was making it a business to defeat demons'

"Is that because it was in my hometown?

'You didn't have it in your hometown. But it seems like it would be a shame to let someone with a strong arm, even if they have a bad gala, play more than demons.

There would be an organization that would bring those people together, a town of some size, and I think it's a big organization. Most importantly, even the unidentified will accept it. '

You're right to say something that sounds like it and cloud your tea, but it's really because you've seen it a lot in these creations. Because I knew organizations like the Hunter Union in stories and so on, I came to the idea that something similar would exist in this world.

I also named Siermail because I think I need a name to sign up for Hunter. Even though I am the main one in this town, it is not preferable to be registered in the name of Einsel at that time, because Shiel will henceforth be shifting to stand out and move.

Although it will be creative knowledge after all, in the case of these unions, I think it is something that exists beyond the hedge of a country, not just an organization within this country, so the lies attached here may turn into trouble in another country.

"After going to the guild today, what are we going to do?

'Speaking of which, you didn't talk. Depending on when it ends, shall we take an inn and go see Ciel's clothes if we have time?

Your hair doesn't seem to have to be hidden, so you might want to be thoughtfully fashionable '

"Nothing. Am I good as I am now?

"No, sir."

The fact that Ciel wears it is with me, but it feels like a dressing doll because I'm too different from my original self.

Would it be closer to creating an avatar than a dressing doll?

I know how that person feels now, although there were people in online games who weirdly focused on role-playing quotes, geared more to appearance than practicality.

That being said, I care that life has never been like this and Ciel has shown no interest in fashion at all. I wasn't that concerned either, but I might as well watch out for beauty or something if I could. It's a waste to not do anything, even though it's good.

But when I think about it, do I have to think about skin care and hair arrangements as well as clothes?

There's resistance to just doing that, but if you leave it alone, Ciel can leave you alone. Above all, I move for a while, so to the extent that I have to do something about it?

Mmmm... I was thinking, 'What are you thinking this time?' and a voice was heard from Ciel.

I was thinking a little bit about myself.

"So what did you find out?

'In the meantime, I came to the conclusion that we should put it behind us.

Looks like we just got to our destination. '

The road also sees an end and we reach it in front of one building, so we forcefully cut the conversation with Ciel.

I've seen the buildings in this town so far, it was like one or two floors, but this is definitely here because it's a 3 story big building. Finally, there's a gate next door that leads out, so they're starting to stop by the guild as soon as they get back from the outside.

Although I imagined it on the extension line of the tavern, it has a look that feels a bit like a fashionable store.

When I open the door in the center, there is a counter in the front, a simple chair and table like a talking room on the left and right, and people dressed up in some sort of a discussion. Apparently, it's not integrated with the liquor store, which doesn't mean you're sifting around alcohol.

The only thing that doesn't look deeper than when you look from the outside would be that there's some work behind it.

Some of them looked at me slightly when I opened the door, but immediately lost interest and went back to the conversation.

Somehow I thought I'd be baptized like, "Hey lady, this isn't where the lady's coming from," but that doesn't seem to happen.

But the receptionist seems to be a young woman. Whether your aunt is doing it or your uncle, though I think it sounds like it.

Well, I was wondering if that was the best way to stay out of it, and I had a problem where I went to the counter. Very high. It even has about my neck.

Because of that, I got a warm glance at the lady at the reception. And because of the height difference, it's fairly large. That's right in front of me.

It's a little hard to have to give your neck up to see your face.

"What's going on today?

"Uh, can you read this?

I'm here to be a hunter, even though it's probably appropriate, so I hand the reference that my uncle the gatekeeper wrote to the receptionist.

She politely says, "I'll borrow you," then receives a letter of introduction, and then alternately looks at the text and me, as she was surprised.

Then I said no "wait a minute" and then I went behind the counter.

Surely that letter of introduction should have said something like, I assure you that I am 10 years old and that I have as much power as I can defeat demons, but was it also a problem?

'Or is it a matter of appearance?

"You're all tall. Yet those who are smaller than me, what they have not seen.

Can you be a hunter safely? Could they mistake you for a child?

'I think you'll be fine. If it doesn't work, let's find it somewhere where we can sell demon stones.'

"Okay."

You sensed the receptionist was back, and Ciel cut the story out.

The receptionist is in a bit of a hurry.

"Thank you for waiting. We are currently checking, should we explain the hunter first?

"Yes, please"

"The Hunter Union was originally an organization designed to defeat demons and protect towns and villages.

Sometimes I went out of town, and gradually it became a hunter's union today to accept requests from residents, towns, nobles, etc. who couldn't get out of town freely "

"Do hunters basically have to do the request?

"You will. By doing the request, you get money from your client through your guild.

Unless it's something special, the hunter never meets the client.

Then, hunters have a rank from G to S, which varies depending on the rank. One flat copper coin is rewarded for a G-grade request that just started, and only things that end up in town alone.

If you increase your rank, that's all you'll get paid, but that's all you'll find difficult. Remember, it's basically up to your rank and the requests below that one.

If the request fails, if the request is discarded, you must pay the penalty presented in advance. "

"When you increase your rank, do you have any other perks?

"You can go outside of town when you get to class F. first. The hunter card you make upon joining will replace your pass only for this town, so you will no longer have to pay the toll.

It is from Grade E that you can receive a request to crusade demons.

You will be able to move freely, as hunter cards will replace passes, only in the country when you reach class D. It is also from class D hunters that identity is generally assumed to be guaranteed.

If you go above level B, you will be free to go to Alliance headquarters. That means that the country will be free to move. "

So what we should be targeting is a B-class hunter?

It is unlikely that you will be able to flee the country as soon as you register. There may be another way, but the way I put it now, it seems difficult for ordinary people to leave the country.

At the same time, the Hunter Union was found to be a trans-national organization. It helps that what we have worked hard here makes direct sense in other countries as well.

"To increase the rank of the hunter, after being recognized for that much merit, you need to pass the exam.

You should start by doing requests on a regular basis. Exams are mostly mock warfare, right?

Because in the job of hunter, strength is required. "

"Can't you just suddenly start with an E or a D?

"It is also possible to start with a Grade E when strength is recognized. From there, however, make sure you have the skills you need as a hunter to move up to level D. For skills, Hunter Unions regularly offer courses, so try to participate. If you participate in all of them, you will be recognized as a skill in a few months.

If the rank and strength are not matched, the rank may be increased exceptionally, especially if you have achieved significant merit. "

"You mean tunnels are the best"

"Yes, because there are a lot of people who have lost their lives in a hurry to improve their ranks and receive requests that do not match their level."

When asked to do this, I know very well the lightness of life in this world.

If I went into the woods for a bit and it was on that first giant, I would die if I were normal. If it were anything, even a few green dwarves would be in danger.

"You keep explaining. Some of the requests are constant requests that the Alliance is constantly putting out.

This means that the Alliance buys materials that could be used for weapons, etc. by demons, and demonic stones that the demons supposedly create. This one has nothing to do with rank. I think we'll talk more about the request when we accept it. "

Basically, a man hears the receptionist at a time when he can ask what he wants to hear.

After a few nods to it, the receptionist looked at me again.

"I'm in the middle of explaining it, but I got confirmation, so after briefly explaining the terms, I'd like to ask you a few questions. May I?

"Yes, please"

Then I was told, but to sum up the main things,

· Fighting between hunters is prohibited. If so, a duel is allowed

· It is also forbidden to destroy towns and villages

· Prohibition of forced listening to a profession, or mumbling about someone else's profession

-Hunter cards, prohibition of perjury of rank

· Forced to be convened in an emergency, but without any special reason at that time, the prohibition to refuse

· If you commit a prohibition, you will be disqualified as a worst hunter and unable to rejoin

· Freedom of activity, but if the activity is not allowed for a long period of time, the rank may also drop

-The rank has an individual rank and a party rank, and if the strength of the party is recognized in the same rank band, you can receive a request for a higher rank than the individual

-Party changes can be made in guilds everywhere

Something like that. Lift it up finer, yes, but that's about as much to be aware of.

Although it was surprising that there was a ban on the profession, apparently the hunter did not make good discrimination on the basis of the profession.

Maybe it's the idea that we should be strong.

"Now, in making a hunter card, let me ask you a question in the form of filling it out, can you write the letters?

"I can write"

"Then to the cochlea..."

A receptionist tried to hand us a piece of paper, and the move stopped.

Yeah. The counter's too high, I can't see anything. I can write letters, I can read them, but I didn't think I was tall enough. "I'll read it out, shall I take the form of filling it in here?" And I let you distract me, so I thank you for doing so.

"Name and age first, please"

"Siermail, I'm 10 years old"

"Next time, please do your profession or be good at it.

If not, but it's okay. "

"You can use magic"

"Yes. So what do we do about introducing the party?

"I'm going to work alone"

Clearly communicating her activities on the solo, the receptionist gave me the paper, saying "it will be more than that" after she looked at me worried. It would mean whether there was a mistake in writing.

"I think it's like having a party with Ein."

'Right. But you won't admit it. Even if I could, I think it's better not to'

"Ein's presence must be kept as hidden as possible."

With such an exchange with Ciel, I return the paper to make sure there is no mistake.

"From now on, Mr. Siermeer will be a hunter.

Finally, do you take exams to start with the E level?

"Can I think about it for a second?

"Of course it's okay, but if you take the exam, you'll be asked to present something that shows you're capable.

Please note that the examiner is not free either. "

I guess a lot of newcomers took the exam for making money if they took it and didn't have enough strength at all.

The receptionist's words had an atmosphere of tiredness somewhere.

In the meantime, I got the time, so I decided to talk to Ciel. Although it would be close to confirming the consultation. And then someone who's making strange moves is caught up in detection.

'What do you do?

'You were going to take it, weren't you? Didn't you hear that you could fight me because you were assuming this was the case?

'It's a little different... but things are going to happen just as they were supposed to happen'

'Whatever happens, I need to get to grade B soon.

As for Ein, don't you think it's gonna work?

"It's a little annoying."

'Then you don't have to get lost, do you? Something that is also an opportunity to dispose of that demonic stone'

Tell the receptionist "I'll take it" where the true meaning of Ciel leaks and put the demon stone I could take when I knocked down the spider on the counter.

"Proof of strength, is this okay?

"... may be rude, but did you get this yourself?

"Mochiro..."

"No way, I can't believe this lady was picking me up"

When I tried to affirm the receptionist's words, one of the hunters who wanted to talk to me about the instructions broke in in in an unproductive way.

At best, "I can't have a hunter on your lady. I'll show you with my strength." I thought something like that would come, but something more tangible came.

Not a very reputable hunter, I guess, as the receptionist also looks up to her. But it's more believable to assume that a hunter who is active, even with bad reviews, defeated a demon than a girl who just turned 10.

I wondered what people had attributed it to me, and when I turned to my voice to look up, I could see the evil people with the picturesque skinheads laughing nasty.

You don't look strong, and you don't seem to have to forgive me.

Because of Ciel's appearance, Skinhead confidently moves on.

"Miss, you just became a hunter, didn't you?

Prey grabbing is a fine, right? But if you give it back soon, it won't be a problem. What are we gonna do?

If they say no, we're gonna have to duel? It means we didn't solve it in a discussion. "

"Shall we test that duel?"

I wouldn't lose a duel for nothing, but the receptionist says not to take it with his eyes, so I was wondering what was wrong, and the voice of an elderly woman sounded.
