Chapter 5: The Plot

Chang Qing was the type of person who would take action whenever he had an idea, so he brought up the topic of going to work again. “I have nothing to do at home anyway,” he told Lu Xuan.

Although he had heard from Chang Qing that he wanted to go to work in Tianxing before, Lu Xuan thought he was just mentioning it casually. This time, seeing that Chang Qing was so serious this time, it didn’t seem like he was saying it casually.  Lu Xuan perked up as well, he was thinking about what position was suitable for Chang Qing now.

Lu Xuan knew Chang Qing’s background well. He had not even finished high school and had been working as a waiter and other service-type jobs before. He was good-looking and could be considered one of the best even in the entertainment industry. It was easier to be an artist, but he doesn’t seem to want to.

Doing something else … He should be unable to adapt to it. It’s ok to be an assistant, and Lu Xuan could see him every day. But he finally said that he would go to work. Would he feel wronged to be an assistant?

Lu Xuan was in trouble.

Chang Qing didn’t know what he was thinking. Seeing that he didn’t speak, he jokingly said, “I’m good at driving, so I can be a driver.”

Lu Xuan looked up at him and asked in surprise, “Do you have a driver’s license?”

Chang Qing said frankly: “No, but the car is ten years old.”

Lu Xuan thought he was joking, and said solemnly, “That won’t work. I just got a new driver.”

Chang Qing looked at his face, smiled slightly, and said, “You don’t have to be too embarrassed. Just arrange a job closer to you for me. Do you still need an assistant?”

Hearing that, Lu Xuan breathed a sigh of relief, “Yes.” After a pause, “Have you really decided to go to work again?”

Chang Qing said, “It’s boring to stay at home. It’s better to go out and do something meaningful.”

Lu Xuan saw that he was serious, so he said nothing more. He was actually looking forward to Chang Qing going to the company with him.

Chang Qing’s changes were obvious, but Lu Xuan didn’t think much about it. Chang Qing was a person who changed a lot in the first place. After all, there was a five-year age difference and there was a generation gap of three years. Therefore, Chang Qing also had a generation gap of one and a half years away from him, so he often felt that he didn’t understand Chang Qing’s thoughts very well.

Now Chang Qing seems to be much simpler, which makes Lu Xuan feel that getting along with him was much easier and more relaxed.

This is a good start.

After dinner, it was a long night.

Chang Qing felt that Lu Xuan was also a very strange person. The original owner was his wife. It had been two months since they got married. In such a long time, the things that should have happened hadn’t happened. They even slept in separate rooms.

Of course, the original owner proposed the request for separate rooms, but Lu Xuan had actually agreed.

It’s really strange. Chang Qing felt that the Lu Xuan in the original owner’s memory wasn’t very real, but based on his impression of Lu Xuan from this day onwards, he could probably figure out why the original owner hadn’t revealed anything.

But that’s fine. It’s more comfortable to sleep alone in a big bedroom.

After taking a shower, he came out of the bathroom with only a towel around his waist.

There was a full-length mirror in the bedroom. Chang Qing stopped when he passed by the mirror, and his eyes fell on his body in the mirror.

This person was tall, not skinny, and well-proportioned. However, his figure wasn’t attractive. His lower abdomen was flat, and he didn’t have any abdominal muscles. He looked soft to the touch, and even his shoulders were round, there was a kind of feminine softness to it.

Chang Qing was thinking about whether to exercise or not. He didn’t need to have six-pack abs like he did in his previous life. He was satisfied with having four.

It’s just that this kind of thing wasn’t urgent, and it’s not too late to think about it later.

Chang Qing lay down on the soft bed and couldn’t help but moan and groan. The temperature and humidity in the bedroom was just right, neither cold nor hot. There was a faint fragrance in the air, which wasn’t too strong, but it made people more awake.

He lay down for a while and began to think.

Him wanting to go to work with Lu Xuan wasn’t a random idea. The main reason was that Lu Xuan was very busy. If he stays at Lu’s house, he will have to meet with Lu Zheng. The less trouble the better, so he’d simply avoid him.

Furthermore, some things weren’t easy to ask Lu Xuan, so he’d just go directly to Tianxing Entertainment to find out the situation.

Although the main perspective of the story revolved around the protagonist Shou and Lu Zheng, it also managed to reveal sufficient information about other things.

Lu Xuan’s car accident wasn’t an accident, but a man-made accident, and the car accident of Lu Chenghui and his wife was also not an accident. Lu Zheng took control of the Lu Group and became its decision-maker, and also suffered a car accident. Although Lu Zheng had doubts before, the first two accidents were very natural, and there was no sign of it being man-made. Even if he suspected it, because there was no evidence, Lu Zheng couldn’t do anything. It wasn’t until a car accident happened to him that he found a clue.

Before when Lu Xuan accidentally mentioned the name Qin Lang, Chang Qing’s heart had skipped a beat.

In addition to being a little wolf dog raised by the original owner, Qin Lang actually had a special identity that even the original owner didn’t know about, and that was as Lu Xuan’s cousin.

Chang Qing slowly sorted out the plot in the original book, which was biased towards the protagonist shou’s perspective. So at the beginning of the plot, Qin Lang appeared as a bright, cheerful, enthusiastic, sincere and hard-working star who attracted many fans. They urged the author to let Lin Yifeng, the male protagonist, to bring Qin Lang into the harem, and his popularity was second only to the real gong Lu Zheng.

About Qin Lang, although a lot of foreshadowing was buried in the book, many people didn’t notice it. It wasn’t until Lu Zheng’s scenes overwhelmed Qin Lang that the clues gradually emerged.

Qin Lang is one of the biggest villains in the original book. His real identity is Lu Xuan, Lu Zheng, Lu Shi and Lu Hua’s cousin.

Although the blood relationship was very close, the fates of Qin Lang and the Lu siblings were completely different.

This goes back to Lu Zheng’s mother Qin Mingzhu’s generation.

Qin Mingzhu and Qin Lang’s mother, Qin Zhenzhu, were twin sisters. They were identical in appearance. Their lives couldn’t be said to be particularly superior since childhood, but they were also from a wealthy family and had no worries about food or clothing. However, when they were in their teens, their parents divorced, Qin Mingzhu followed their mother, and Qin Zhuzhu followed their father. Since then, they lived separately and weren’t able to see each other much during the year.

After Qin Mingzhu’s mother remarried and had a new family, the sisters never met again.

In the decades that followed, they, who were once close twin sisters, had very different fates.

Qin Mingzhu’s stepfather was powerful and has a superior family background. Qin Mingzhu, his stepdaughter, also married Lu Chenghui, the only son of the president of the Lu’s Group. The relationship between husband and wife was loving and harmonious, and she gave birth to three sons and one daughter. Her family was happy and enviable.

Their father, who Qin Zhenzhu followed, never remarried, and the company went bankrupt. Qin Zhenzhu hurriedly married an ordinary man. The necessities of life wasted her into a bitter and mean ordinary woman.

Qin Lang grew up in such a family environment, and since childhood, he has learned to observe words and emotion, judge situations, and be shrewd and unfathomable.

He inherited all the advantages of his mother Qin Zhuzhu’s appearance. He has a good appearance and a tall stature. His appearance and innate conditions are all the ingredients to do well in the entertainment circle. He did enter the entertainment industry and slowly climbed up from the status of group performance.

When Lu Chenghui and his wife had an accident, he was only 17 years old. No one would suspect him. After Lu Xuan’s accident, Qin Lang still wasn’t suspected. After all, a young actor has nothing to do with the Lu family.

How much Qin Lang hated the Lu family will not be mentioned for the time being. Although Qin Lang was a little famous at this time, he was still not a big star. The fact that the original owner kept him naturally had the element of Qin Lang’s calculation.

Chang Qing found it a bit tricky. Qin Lang was a poisonous snake, and it wasn’t good to be entangled with him.

At this time, there should be quite a few days before Qin Lang can attack Lu Xuan. Chang Qing guessed that in the original book, Qin Lang could successfully kill Lu Xuan, because the existence of the original owner had made things easier for him.

Of course, this was only Chang Qing’s guess. He couldn’t be sure, but he felt that it shouldn’t be too far off. After all, wasn’t Qin Lang trying to get in touch with the original owner in order to get involved with the Lu family which was behind the original owner?

After cleaning up this part of the plot, he breathed out a sigh of relief. His eyes were clear and he didn’t feel sleepy. He simply got up and wrote down the important plot from the original book with a note on his cell phone’s notes.

After writing for more than an hour, Chang Qing looked at it, reorganized it, and deleted it all.

After doing this, Chang Qing let out the turbid qi that had been accumulating in his chest, and slowly became a little sleepy.

It’s just that Chang Qing still doesn’t want to sleep.

He couldn’t stop thinking that although he knew the original plot and the future, in fact, he didn’t have to participate in the plot of the book. He wasn’t the kind of person who thought he could get something if he mastered the plot.

But ah… he has a hope.

He has always longed for family, and the identity of the original owner gave him this hope.

Therefore, Chang Qing had planned to integrate into this identity. Based on this, Lu Xuan was indeed a good person, and an excellent partner. So he didn’t want Lu Xuan to have an accident.

If he didn’t want Lu Xuan to have an accident, there were a lot of things to do. So don’t think so much now, just take it one step at a time.

Feeling sleepy, Chang Qing withdrew his thoughts and stopped thinking about it. He reached out and turned off the light, closed his eyes and slowly fell asleep.
