Through the Wings of Timeless Love

Somebody knocked on the door but he never opened it. He felt as if his heart bled. There was that infinitesmall amount of pain but caused him to further silently sob inside and pricking his soul.

While outside, Karla went back to the veranda where Seb in Nomin was relaxing.

" Why Seb didn't open me, did I tell him anything mean?"

" Yes."

" Really, what was it?"

" When you were talking to me, telling me that you only approached him because of your husband's body, my body. He has heard it. It's not because it's Godem but because it's Seb, somewhat like that."

" But... he was too far."

" He's an angel Karl."

" Nomin, help me, it wasn't really my intention, I was mistaken." She moved closer to Seb in Nomin and asked for some help.

" Go on... talk to him, it's okay."

" But he's hurt. Nomin..." She cried on his shoulder.

" Shh..just go and talk to him."

Karla returned to Godem in Seb's door and knocked again but still he did not welcome her inside. To her surprise, Nomin in Godem gave him a key and she immediately used it. When she entered, Seb was already on bed and unconscious. It made Karla to panic and shouted for help. Seb in Nomin and Nomin in Godem came in and tried to check his pulse, it's still in it's normal state, though the soul separated from the body. When Seb in Nomin goes invisible, he was looking for Godem's soul and surprisingly standing just beside him.

" You stunned me. Why you're here beside me, you know already that my soul can't anymore get out from your body and why you're trying to get into my body where I'm currently assigned to it for this mission. We are in a mission Godem, we are in a battle. Be strong, talk to me."

" I'm in so much pain..." Godem in Seb whispered.

" Calm down Godem, Seb's body will be at risk, please, go back to that body. Please..."

He saw her crying so hard and it softened him. In a second, he entered again to Seb's body and woke up. It's the time where Nomin got out and signaled Godem to get inside too. Karla hugged him tight and held his hands while crying.

" I'm so sorry...it's my fault, I was tactless in telling things and not... mindful that I have hurt you this afternoon. He hugged him again, so tight and kissed him on his forehead where he can also feel her neck. He was so stoically numbing while closing his eyes and made himself dumb for her touch. She was crying while hugging him back and pressing his hands albeit he felt nothing, but she saw his tears and it panicked her.

" What have I done. Seb, don't cry, please. I don't understand, I can't choose between your body and the soul in Nomin is still Seb. What will I do." As she closed her eyes.

Seb grabbed her soft body and pressed it to him as it allowed both of their heartbeats to understand. He caressed her hair while they sat on the edge of the bed; her toes were slowly touching his foot. There was total silence; it's too deafening and his other hand touched her small shoulder where he carefully pressed it and their heart chuckles. She pinched gently his ear, repeatedly as he caressed her softly again and when she opened her eyes he was already standing by the window, looking outside.

" My dear...maybe Godem is looking for you right now in the kitchen, please..."

" But you're upset...how can I leave you this way.

"Please...or I call Nomin to pick you up." His insisting voice was horribly serious that made her walked out with droopy shoulders.

"Nomin, don't tell anyone that I'm going to the portal. It might take me longer and don't have any idea yet. If this might be charged absent without leave to my mission, forgive me. I just need to find myself and ask Banli or the elders. I was calling him a while ago but he's not responding. Likewise, I left a note to Princess for Godem's status and appointed you as officer in charge, in lieu of my absence. Godem must be staying close, too close for Karla. I guess that's the best way."

" Seb..." Nomin then was speechless.

Then Seb was gone.

The portal was silent except to the crickets meddling the surroundings, spun around and seated on the bench. Seb was unable to hold his human emotions started with a little tearful moment of grief, both hands on his forehead chasing his heartbeats and it flit away through his breathe. He stood up while heavily crying, approached the big tree and knelt while putting his forehead and two palms on the ground for an hour, lifted his head and raised his hands above again. Hours rolled so fast as it turned to days and weeks. He already felt angels passing by going in and out of the portal. He still closed his eyes as his fasting cleansed his soul while waiting for heavens to hear his prayer and for the elders to intervene and help him. Nomin pitily left him food and water everyday and he just come and go but could not talk to him. He barely touches the food but consumed a less amount of water. A month came on and he was very skinny. Nomin sat beside him and cried but he still closed his eyes and continued to pray.

When Nomin left, he was alone again and was deeply contemplating and praying when a voice intervened his prayer.

" Soul...I'm one of the elders and sent by heavens. The mull of earthly things had skinned your faith though the deepest strain of it was a gallant sufferer. But we cannot teach the wind to flap only when the a bird goes with, against it or through its current. The direction depends to one's inner eye while covering the ears for it is in the pacing changes everything. A sleeping one dreams althroughout while the one enjoying the moment joyfully sips the nectar of life. Be frozen when there's cold with a cup of tea, dive into the cool waters when the hell fires you to death and whistle when the pain tickles you. Do not dream dreams where you're not dreaming, bury a ton of it and look ahead, keeping too much might help you miss a lifetime. We bless and bury the dead while nourish the living. In a word, the present husband is dead while the past husband becomes alive. The present was sold, redeemed and saved while the past died in three counts, saved the present and rewarded for love. He is alive now but wants to leave? he must have tried hard with that human body. Soul, which direction will you go through? If you say yes it's the toughest but be more stronger if you say no it's not what your heart desires.
