Chapter 39: Pre-Apprenticeship Transactions

Chapter 39 The deal before apprenticeship

Taixue is the earliest institution of higher learning in China.

Before the Han Dynasty, knowledge was private goods of various schools, and few people taught it openly. That's why Confucius, who had a wide range of disciples at that time, was so respected. But even so, the sage Confucius once said that he only accepted seventy-two people. It is recorded that "five or six of the crowned ones and six or seven of the boys" add up to exactly seventy-two, but it is said that the number of disciples that Confucius accepted in his life should be 2000- There are about 3,000 people, but not many are famous, just those few.

In history, Confucianism's contribution to education is indeed one step ahead of other schools of thought. The idea of equality of "education without discrimination" was no less than a blessing from heaven to the people at that time.

In the fifth year of Yuanshuo (124 BC), Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, who dismissed hundreds of schools and respected only Confucianism, adopted Dong Zhongshu's suggestion of "may your majesty promote Taixue, set up famous teachers to support the people of the world", and established Taixue in Chang'an to teach "Poetry", "Book", "Li", "Yi", "Spring and Autumn" and other Confucian classics.

Although the Taixue proposed by Dong Zhongshu is mixed with his own private goods, it is not as inclusive as later generations of universities, but for the ancients before BC, it was lucky to have a place where they could learn knowledge.

At that time, most of the knowledge was treasured by the big families, and it was not easy to show it to others, let alone pass it on to people who were not from their own family. Therefore, the establishment of Taixue was no less than a hurricane in the academic world, further Established the status of Confucianism.

"Book of Rites·Royal System" records: "The prince ordered to teach, and then to learn. The primary school is on the left of the south of the palace, and the university is in the suburbs. The emperor is called Piyong, and the princes are called Pangong." The embryonic form of the university, the "Pangong" established by the princes and states, is a local university established by imitating the Taixue Institute.

After the continuous increase of the emperors in the Han Dynasty, Taixue started from a small scale of 50 students in the beginning of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, and reached 100 students in the time of Emperor Zhao of the Han Dynasty, increased to 200 students in the time of Emperor Xuan of the Han Dynasty, broke through 1,000 students in the time of Emperor Han Yuan, and broke through in the time of Emperor Han Cheng. At that time, there were 3,000 people, and the number increased to 10,000 during Wang Mang's time. By the time of Emperor Zhi of the Eastern Han Dynasty, it was already "the number of study tours increased, and it reached more than 30,000 lives."

30,000 students what concept? It is basically no different from the number of students in a university in later generations.

So many students have naturally formed a series of industrial chains for food, clothing, housing and transportation. In the Eastern Han Dynasty, the boarding dormitories for Guangtai students had "two hundred and forty rooms and one thousand eight hundred and fifty rooms", not to mention other that's it.

Students gather together, they are all passionate young people, it is inevitable that they will have some small opinions about national policies, small opinions, and they will feel that if one day I become an official of a certain field, what will happen...

It’s okay to talk about it in general, but it can’t be helped by the instigation of people with good intentions. Taixue students have participated in national politics several times. In the late Eastern Han Dynasty, Chen Fan, Li Ying and others opposed the arrogance of the eunuchs, and they also gathered a group of Tai students to respond. Therefore, these Tai students also became the targets of the eunuchs, and many people who were involved with the party members were imprisoned. It is recorded that more than 1,000 Zhongtai students were arrested and imprisoned by eunuchs, and Taixue was even shut down for a time.

In the later period of Han Lingdi, he rehabilitated the personnel who were imprisoned by the party. Of course, he reopened Taixue and started recruiting students.

It stands to reason that Fei Qian is already a Langguan, so he doesn't need to go the road of Taixue, but Cai Yong is an important Ph. ", "Spring and Autumn" and "Erya" also have special Qin music classes, and these classes are not for students to take any class they want. It depends on Cai Yong's mood. The class will be held in two days, and the specific content of the class will be decided by Cai Yong himself, but he will tell the steward of Taixue to announce it a few days in advance.

So every time a freshman of Taixue enrolls, Cai Yong must be invited as a doctoral representative to participate in the entrance ceremony of Taixue freshmen. This time, Cai Yong asked Fei Qian to make up the ceremony of apprenticeship when the freshmen of Taixue entered the school. On the one hand, it was because the most solemn ceremony of apprenticeship was the ceremony of apprenticeship at the entrance of Taixue; potential attention.

Therefore, Fei Qian had prepared the rituals needed for apprenticeship early, and stood behind the Tai students in this year's autumn class, waiting for Cai Yong's call.

However, it is naturally impossible for Cai Yong to accept apprentices privately before the official business. The group student apprenticeship ceremony for the Taixue Autumn Class will be held first.

Today’s new autumn class students are all wearing green skirts, that is, deep blue clothes with cross-collared blue collars, and student crowns on their heads, forming a square formation and standing neatly.

And behind the students' phalanx, Fei Qian was wearing a long-crowned suit. On the outside was a blue gown with soap on the outside, and on the inside was a silkworm gown with a green top and bottom, and a long crown. Compared with this group of students, it was almost It just stands out from the crowd and is out of place.

Fei Qian himself felt that everyone's eyes were always on him, and he felt a little uncomfortable, but after all, he had practiced for a long time in the workplace of later generations, although he felt a little awkward in his heart, but you would never see it on his face, standard With a toothless smile, he stood firmly, motionless.

Fei Qian himself felt awkward, but he didn't know that other people's eyes were about to spit out little stars—Cai Yong's new student, tsk tsk tsk...he's also a new recruit, tsk tsk tsk...he's so handsome, huh huh Hmm... I heard that I'm not married yet, oh oh oh...

Unlike Fei Qian, who endured stares in the crowd, Cai Yong felt a little depressed when he saw Liu Hong beside him—I asked you to come to watch the ceremony, but you arrived wearing the same doctor’s uniform as me, what the **** are you trying to do? what…

In fact, Liu Hong is also the teacher of the "Analysis" class specially invited by Taixue, so he naturally has a doctor's uniform, but Liu Hong never told Cai Yong, and Cai Yong didn't ask the steward of Taixue...

Cai Yong asked Liu Hong secretly, "What do you want to do?"

Liu Hong said half-jokingly and half-seriously: "I think the Shuxiu brought by Ziyuan is not bad, how about sharing half with me?"

Cai Yong stared, it turned out that you were coming to **** my disciple from me, so he snorted: "Definitely not!"

Liu Hong didn't care about Cai Yong's attitude, after all, he wanted to rob someone else's disciple. If someone else wanted to rob his disciple, his attitude would be worse than Cai Yong's.

However, Liu Hong was already prepared, so Wei Wei leaned closer and said, "When I was in Kuaiji County, I accidentally got a volume of the Yellow Emperor's "Tao Yuan Jing". If you, um..."

Cai Yong was startled: ""Dao Yuan Jing"? You mean "Dao Yuan Jing", one of the Yellow Emperor's Four Classics? Isn't it already lost?"

"I've read it, it's undoubtedly the "Tao Yuan Jing", probably the only one in the world..."

Cai Yong pondered for a long time, gritted his teeth reluctantly, and replied: "It's not possible, it's just a book. I have thousands of volumes in my family, and it's not bad for that one volume." Although he said this, the twitching flesh on his face Tell Liu Hong that Cai Yong is actually very reluctant.

"Ahem, how about another 'Green Qi'? If you don't want to, I have no choice but to take it back and make it a family heirloom of my Liu family..."

"Sima Xiangru's 'Green Qi'? Don't you want to lie to me?" Cai Yong stared at Liu Hong and said.

"A volume of a peerless book plus a peerless qin is just for half of your disciple. Hurry up, just one sentence! That's the "Dao Yuan Jing", 'Green Qiqin'..."

Cai Yong closed his eyes and gritted his teeth for a while, and finally said weakly in a low voice: "You can only take half, no more..."

The author has a bad feeling of heat, a sore throat, and a persistent cough... It's not easy for a newcomer, please recommend a ticket, ask for a collection... Thanks to the book friends with the tail number 022394, your joy is my honor...
