There is Room For Abandoned Women In the 1980s

Chapter 50: A woman as sweet as brown sugar

Chapter 50 A Woman Like Brown Candy

Zheng Xinyue heard someone calling her, stood up and looked out the door. Da Ya went out to collect firewood and forgot to lock the door. The door was open, and her second aunt Chen Shuli stood at the door holding the courtyard door with a flattering smile on her face.

 “Second aunt.”

Zheng Xinyue said hello obediently, already understanding what she meant by coming.

"Xinyue, the second aunt knows that you are being bullied, and she wants to go to the Zhang family to fight for her."

With Zheng Xinyue's words, Chen Shuli finally found a reason to enter the room. She stepped in and looked at Zheng Xinyue with a distressed look on her face. She was filled with indignation.

“It’s a thing of the past, I don’t want to mention them.”

Zheng Xinyue smiled faintly and looked at Chen Shuli with distant eyes.

As a woman and an elder, you should know what can and cannot be said.

It’s not like she didn’t know that the original owner had convulsions and couldn’t bear the stimulation. If it was the original Zheng Xinyue who listened to Chen Shuli’s words, she might have been filled with grief and anger and just had convulsions.

Her motive for doing this was not just to make a good purchase, but maybe she just wanted to watch a joke and take revenge on her mother for beating her out yesterday.

"Xinyue, is there anything to eat? My aunt is starving to death." Chen Shuli pretended not to see the coldness in Zheng Xinyue's eyes, and came over to ask her with a flattering look.

“Only a bowl of wild vegetable porridge and a steamed bun.”

Zheng Xinyue glanced at her. She was indeed so hungry that she was shaking as she stood there. There was a bowl of porridge and a steamed bun in the cupboard. Those were left by her mother because she was afraid that she would starve, so she specifically told her when she left. .

“Give it to Auntie! Please.” Chen Shuli’s eyes lit up when she heard that there was still steamed buns, and she clasped her hands together and asked Zheng Xinyue for it.

“Auntie, I won’t let her have any milk.”

Da Ya pulled Zheng Xinyue’s lapel, and the children were thoroughly indoctrinated by grandma that nothing from our family should be given to outsiders.

Chen Shuli saw that the food was about to reach her mouth, and Daya ran out to stop her. She was furious, glaring at Daya and scolding: "Young child, Yazi, why are you so evil-minded?"

Zheng Xinyue's face suddenly darkened when she heard Chen Shuli scolding Da Ya and glaring at her to scare the children. She said unhappily, "Second Aunt, I remembered. My mother said she would give the cornstarch to the children."

“No, second aunt is starving to death, just give me a bite to eat!”

Chen Shuli saw the duck flying away from her mouth, she immediately put away her ferocious look, returned to her pitiful and miserable state, and held on to Zheng Xinyue without letting go.

“Da Ya, go and give you the wild vegetable porridge to Ertang.”

Zheng Xinyue pulled her arm back and ordered Daya with a cold face.

“Oh.” Daya agreed with a pouted mouth, carefully took out the bowl of porridge, swallowed her saliva and handed it to Zheng Xinyue.

Not waiting for Zheng Xinyue to pick up! Chen Shuli grabbed it and wolfed down the porridge, even licking the bottom of the bowl clean, and was reluctant to return the empty bowl.

“Second aunt, please leave quickly! My mother will be back soon and will be angry when she sees you.”

Zheng Xinyue saw Chen Shuli looking around with evil eyes, like a thief who wanted to steal something. This look was so disgusting.

“Xinyue, my second aunt is not full, she didn’t even cover the bottom of the bowl of porridge!”

Chen Shuli saw the disgust in Zheng Xinyue's eyes, but pretended not to see it, and continued to beg for it, no matter what, she had to get the cornstarch.

"There's nothing you can do about it. Like my mother said, you can go to the mountains to pick wild vegetables, you can go to the woods to pick mushrooms, and there are fish in the river. You won't starve to death."

Zheng Xinyue had a cold face, regretting that she had softened her heart, and directly issued an eviction order: "Second Aunt, I still have to bathe a few children, please leave quickly!"
