The Urban Dao Child

Yang Dao was having a feast with his people when the space above the elder hall of the Sovereign Sect tore apart. Elmo walked out wearing his crimson red robe with Dao Yin and Tato in tow. Sun Eckhart and the elder council people all appeared in the void.

Sun Eckhart looked at Dao Yin and asked, "I have seen the seniors. May I know the purpose of your visit?"

The two men did not speak, their gaze was searching the place, and so was their spiritual sense. Dao Yin stepped forward and slightly bowed her head to Sun Eckhart. She asked, "Senior, where is Yang? My uncle wants to meet him."

Sun Eckhart revealed a bitter smile, they have just confirmed his whereabouts after Alisha contacted them. He said, "He has returned to his home, to celebrate his birthday with his family. I was about to depart to meet him as well."

Dao Yin smiled thinking that her birthday was on the same day as Yang Dao's. She asked, "Can you take us along, Senior?"

Sun Eckhart smiled and said, "I will be glad."

Elmo snorted, despite being a demon who had no enmity with the humans, he did not want to greet someone who did not have cultivation equal to him. Sun Eckhart delegated the work to the elders and then wrapped the space with the people.

Yang Dao was sitting in a pavilion with his mother, grandmother, and father. While Yue Jing and Alisha served tea to the elders, Yang Dao played the guqin for them. His hands were gentle and the notes he made resonated with the depth of their souls.

The pavilion was made in front of the tree in the serenity garden. Suddenly, the space distorted, and Sun Eckhart walked out. Alisha had informed the elders of the Yang Family that the sect master will be paying a visit, so they did not clamor upon noticing his arrival.

But the actual stagnation came when Elmo and Tato stepped out of the space crack with Dao Yin. Yang Dao raised his eyebrow and frowned because the two demons were deliberately letting their pressure roll out like a tide. They were strong enough to make his home come down in crumbles and this irked him.

The notes on his guqin changed. One resonation canceled out the pressure of the two demons. Dao Yin spotted Yang Dao playing the guqin and skipped toward him. The whole world lost its value in her eyes as long as Yang Dao was there.

Elmo was surprised and so was Tato, this kid countered their pressure, by playing one note on the instrument. Yang Dao stopped playing and asked, "Yin, are these people with you?"

Dao Yin frowned at his words, however, after pondering, her gaze turned cold. She could sense that the boy was angry with the two people. Dao Yin may be a demon, but she knew what courtesy was, and she also understood what was happening here. She cast a cold gaze at Tato and Elmo, and said, "What is your intention?"

Elmo almost doubted his life at this point, his niece was glaring at him, she was questioning his motives for a boy? Tato replied, "We were testing the boy, that was all."

Yang Dao stood up after putting his guqin away and asked, "And who are you to test me?"

His tone was indifferent, he felt no pressure looking at the two people. Tato was not like Elmo. The latter was still reeling back from the change in Dao Yin. Tato replied in a disdainful tone, "I? I am the general of the demon legion, Tato. Mind your tone boy."

Dao Yin replied, "I am the princess of the demon realm, I wonder if I am lower than you, General."

Tato shivered, he did not expect this girl to talk back and support an outsider. He grit his teeth and glaring at Yang Dao he asked, "What charm did you put on her?"

The next moment, something no one expected happened. Yang Dao appeared in front of Tato and his sword was stabbing through the latter's chest. Elmo woke up at this moment and he was about to attack when he sensed a gaze that made him realize the threat of death. Dao Yin had her hair turn golden and she was looking at him straight.

Yang Dao was the same, his hair had turned golden as well. Tato did not even know what happened until after a few seconds the pain came. He was in a realm ahead of True Immortal, and it has been hundreds of years since he sensed pain. However, today, not only did he sense pain but also, fear.

The fear of death. He wanted to say something when Yang Dao said, "I also tested you, but you failed. Since you failed, you will kneel in front of my parents for your rudeness in my house. Do you understand? Or I will have your ashes spread in the gardens and become spiritual manure for my flowers."

Two demon supreme were scared shitless by a couple of kids who had yet to step in their teenage. Elmo, at this moment, understood that things were not simple. He gulped and said, "I apologize on his behalf, can you please retract your weapon?"

Yang Dao nodded and said, "If he did not apologize, I will take his head off." he slowly retracted his sword from his body.

Tato sensed as if someone had pulled his soul out. He knelt on the ground, from the lack of energy. Dao Yin walked up to stand beside Yang Dao and asked, "Why are you so soft? You should have taken his head off already."

"I do not want to shed blood on our birthday," replied Yang Dao.

Dao Yin was surprised and asked, "How do you know?"

Yang Dao smiled and said, "I guessed from your visit."

Dao Yin bloomed in a wonderful smile.

Five minutes later, Elmo sat in front of Yang Shan and Yue Ling, while Mulan sat beside them. Yue Ling was braiding Dao Yin's hair with a smile on her face. The little girl was a charmer. She smiled and Yue Ling almost had an impulse to adopt her. Yang Dao was massaging Mulan's shoulders. Sun Eckhart was drinking tea.

Yue Jing and Alisha were silently watching things. While Tato was kneeling outside the pavilion. Elmo said, "My brother and sister-in-law left when Yin was a baby. I have been responsible for her ever since. However, never did I see this girl being so excited about someone, she would hardly smile. The upbringing in the demon realm is a bit harsh and especially when people look at her like she will take after her father.

After hearing about Yang Dao, I could not help but come and see him. I apologize for the misunderstanding earlier."

Yang Shan shook his head and said, "This brat has been naughty since childhood, I apologize for his rudeness just now."

He wanted to glare at his son for the lack of manners but he heard, "Uncle, we came to visit, that means we are the guests. How can a guest test the host? How can we be so impudent? My uncle should apologize not you, and Yang is not wrong."

Yue Ling, who was feeling sour because of her husband's diplomacy, could not help but squeeze the small face in her hands gently and peck her cheeks with great affection. She asked, "Yin, do you want to see our home?"

Dao Yin nodded and Yue Ling took her around the home holding her hand. Yang Dao said, "Grandma, I also want to have a change in my hair. We should go to the seventh aunt."

Mulan nodded and then they also left the pavilion. What surprised the others was that Yang Dao did not make a fuss when Dao Yin was taken by his mother. Even Athena suffered when he felt jealous.

Elmo let out a sigh of relief and was about to ask Tato to sit down beside him when two cold sounds overlapped each other, "Do not think about it. You will suffer along with him."

The heartbeat that had relaxed just now shot up once again. Sun Eckhart said, "Senior, do not mind me saying, but those two bear the blessing of the providence, when they are together, no one and nothing can be their match."

Elmo said, "Tell me about it. I almost lost my general, my heart has weakened by one meeting and to think these two are just children. They are both nascent soul realms, yet they can make us shiver in fear and doubt our lives. I wonder what they will do when they achieve higher realms of cultivation. Brother Yang Shan, you have a good son."

Yang Shan smiled and said, "This, thank you, Brother Elmo." he thanked not only for the compliment but also the address of a brother.
