Yang Dao and the nine other disciples vanished from the ship and appeared in the atmosphere of the blackish planet below them. Yes, the planet was below them as they were falling. Shakti shouted after infusing spiritual energy in her throat.

"Why can I not fly here?" her words were similar to what everyone else had in their minds.

They all tried to circulate their spirit energy in order to fly a bit. However, when they all found that they cannot fly, a strange panic took over their hearts. After all, despite being a golden core cultivator, it was not like they will not die after falling from such heights.

Yang Dao said, "This is an illusion."

His voice alerted everyone and before they could ask, how did he know, the youngster said, "Despite us falling down, our clothes are not fluttering. Neither can we feel any air. This is an illusion. Senior Brother Fang, you can try to undo it."

Fang was the person, who had helped him when the boy had come in front of the array hall. he was the prime disciple under Elder Chime. His skills were that of an array grandmaster. When Yang Dao pointed out that it was an illusion array, he felt ashamed to have given into panic, but the young child helped him save face, by asking him to take the charge here.

Fang Yang made a few seals with his hands and said, "Break."

The illusion broke apart, and the group found themselves standing on a firm black ground. The ground was like black glass under their feet. Cal bent down and asked, "Anyone knows, what is this? Why does it look like glass?"

Yang Dao closed his eyes and tried to sense the ground. After five minutes he said, "I cannot sense anything in this ground, the composition is different from the land we usually come across. What now?"

Amil said, "We are supposed to look for a teleportation array. We have no idea where to start from?"

Shakti patted his shoulder when she heard his helpless tone. Yang Dao said, "Big sister, do you have some paper on you?"

As an alchemist, it was her habit to carry a few clean paper and pens, to make notes and record her work. Yang Dao said, "I have some material on me, this can help us with one spirit talisman inscription. We cannot use maps, but we can use this talisman to find where the teleportation array might be."

A meek-looking disciple mumbled, "You mean, Fortune seeker?"

Yang Dao smiled and said, "Yes, senior brother Noah. The fortune seeker talisman can help us seek the greatest fortune, well, whether it be the teleportation array or something else. What say?"

The others all exchanged a glance and they nodded after some thought. Yang Dao took out some material from his space ring and prepared some spirit ink for the inscription. Then he said, "Senior Brother Noah, you can do this better than me."

Noah was surprised but then he said, "Okay, I will do it. Can you all please guard me?"

The others nodded. Noah was a shy type of person, or more like, he was a switch. His switch would flip and turn him into a savage who would not hesitate to kill all those who stand against him, only when he held a brush in his hands. After the ink was prepared, Noah took out a wooden board from his space ring, placed the paper on top of it, and took out his brush.

A lot of disciples wanted to comment, but when they recalled something, they all became calm and polite. There was a time when someone bullied Noah in the sect and Noah took it all. Until one day, that certain someone trampled on Noah's work and made fun of him. The guy picked up his brush, not coming out of his room for a month.

When he did come out, he had developed his skills to the degree, where he proposed a deathmatch and turned the presence into shreds. He was very serious about his work and he would never spare anyone who made fun of it.

Yang Dao stood beside Noah as he dipped the brush in the spiritual ink and drew a few long and confident strokes. These strokes were completed in one go. After five minutes, Noah said, "Dao, it is done. You can decide who will use this."

Shakti was surprised and asked, "What do you mean by this senior?"

Noah replied after putting back his brush, "I mean, this talisman will act based on who among us is the most fortunate. The higher the luck of the user, the higher the chances that we might find an opportunity."

Everyone turned their heads to look at Yang Dao. The boy sighed and said, "Alright, I will do it, you group of vultures."

The disciples all laughed when they saw his wronged expression.

...

While on the surface of the blackish planet the disciples were laughing, five spaceships were standing in an arrangement that made the shape of a pentagon. Five people were standing in the void, floating among the countless stars. They were the guardian elders of all the participants this time.

Elder Cao said, "Let us not waste time and initiate the monitoring mirrors."

The other old people nodded and they all took out a medallion from their space rings. These were given to them by the old ancestors of the sects and passed down the generation. When they were brought together, they will initiate a network of artifacts spread around the planet, the monitoring mirrors as the elders called them.

These artifacts were like a network of satellites, they would capture all the movements and activities around the planet, this was how they were going to monitor the disciples on the planet. One more thing that this artifact had superior to modern satellites, these mirrors can even capture the sound of the target if they made any.

Elder Cao and the rest read an incantation out loud and the medallions glowed with golden light. The next moment, they all saw a network of mirrors appearing around the planet, they were not there earlier, and only after the medallions glowed did they come out from the small spatial dimensions, made to protect them.

Well, the immortal plane had immortal space pirates. After the artifacts began their tasks. The guardian elders returned back to their ships. They did not have any interest in sitting around to have small talks over a good tea.

As Elder Cao entered the ship's holding bay, he said, "Disciple Alisha, you are responsible for the monitoring, inform me only when someone dies. Understood?"

Alisha was surprised but she did not comment. After all, Elder Cao was not their normal old man who would love to impart knowledge to children. He would rather throw them into a war to learn how innards of a person looked when they were not inside the person.

Alisha took Athena and the few other disciples to the ships control room, Captain Herald stood their with his back facing them. Alisha asked, "Captain Herald, is everything alright?"

The man did not turn back and answered in a dazed tone, "Young Miss Alisha, how long has it been since they were down there?"

Athena replied, "A few minutes. Why? Is everything alright?"

Herald said, "Everything is way more than alright. They are moving already."

Alisha walked forward and her gaze was locked on a spirit screen that showed how the group was moving forward at a high speed. She could tell by the expressions on their faces that they were not worried at all. She frowned and mumbled, "Are they under estimating the element of anonymity?"

Athena raised her eyebrow at this. The other disciples all began to analyze the situation, they were also unaware of what the group of disciples were doing. Suddenly, Herald raised his eyebrow and said, "Young Miss, can I zoom out from the monitoring screen?"

Alisha nodded and Herald made a gesture for the staff member to zoom out from the screen. He had a hunch about why the people were moving in this direction. The look on their faces spelled, "WE ARE GOING TO LOOK FOR A TREASURE."

Captain Herald has seen a lot of space pirates and he could tell that the look was same. He said, "This might be bad."

...

Yang Dao and the rest were moving forward on their flying sword. Although he had a faint smile on his face, his eyes were watching the surroundings. He did not alert the rest as they needed to learn that the world is not as friendly and filled with fortunes awaiting them as they thought.

Shakti could sense his mood, she was a better judge of people, as a weapon master her sight was keener then the others. However, watching the Dao Child maintain silence, she held her words back as well.

Suddenly, everyone turned silent. In front of them stood a monster that shocked their cores, and what followed later was a heart unraveling roar.
