The Other Side of the Mask

61 Chapter 61: Returning as Criminals?

The witch fumes furiously, but didn't dare open her mouth to retort because of the poisonous gas.

She quickly scampered around her room rummaging through her items for a gas mask, like a scavenger looking for food.

I gave the scene one last glance before returning through the vents.

We returned to the original scene, now with only a couple tens of people alive from the hundreds in the crowd.

The pirates are still fending off some of the powerful women. I smirk inwardly. XiaoLong suddenly passes a black cloak over to me.

It's the black cloak I wore that time at the harbor where I accidentally bumped into XiaoLong.

"How'd you get this?" I question.

He puts a finger over my lip, "That's not important."

I sigh with a smile and wear the cloak. After incapacitating and capturing everyone, we tape their mouths. They look at us in horror. I smile sinisterly at them.

"Let's go, don't dirty your hands," I tell XiaoLong.

It felt more like I am telling myself, though.

XiaoLong wipes off the makeup, revealing his manly face.

1111's eyes bulge out and her face turns red trying to hold back laughter.

I look at her incredulously, "You can still laugh in this situation? Some genes…"

She immediately quiets down after the others glare at her.

We hurry out after wrecking the place. I look at the dock of tens of ships.

My eyes shine as I inspect every ship with it's designs. After deciding on a dark blue, starry night themed small ship, I smile.

"Let's take this one!"

"Alright."

We board the ship and sail off the dock. I rummage through the rooms, finding the map we need and a compass.

"Ok, so we go this way…"

A tense silence hangs in the air.

" Wait, how do we work this ship?" XiaoLong asks nervously.

"... let's just BS it… somehow…"

"You can't BS this! We're gonna die if we don't do this correctly!"

I start to panic and run around. Then, I barge into the crew room of the ship.

I give myself an awkward smile, remembering all those times I went on the ships in that one month in the south, " I got this…"

I steer the steering wheel in the direction of the compass.

"What are you doing?" XiaoLong asks.

"Shush, I'm trying to remember… oh, get the sails."

XiaoLong, using his amazing physique, easily climbs up and detaches the sails into the correct direction under my instruction.

"Ok, we stay like this until the wind changes direction…"

We stayed on that one ship for an entire five hours, calmly and peacefully. Way too silent, I mean I guess it's expected when you only have two people on the ship…

"We're almost there!" I scream in delight.

"I thought you liked being on ships?" XiaoLong accuses me.

"Five hours is too long okay?"

He smiles.

After we quickly docked, someone yells, "Hands up!"

A barricade of people surrounds us.

"Hands up! How dare you filthy pirates enter our port!"

A familiar figure walks up to us, "I am the mayor of this port! You're under arrest!"

I sigh and wipe off my makeup quickly, "It's been a long time, ZhuWu."

He looks at me with a shocked face.

Then, he kneels, " Your majesty, what brings you here?"

All of the soldiers look around, bewildered. ZhuWu glares at them, and they kneel.

"Your majesty!"
