The Other Side of the Mask

"Hoho, so you're the one who took down Sadie," he smirks uglily.

"Oh, then I assume you're more powerful than her?"

He hesitates and sweat drips down his face, "Y-yeah…"

I stare at him condescending, "Doesn't seem like it…"

"W-well that's because sh-sh-she's WEIRD!"

"Oh… what an excuse."

"HAHAHA you'll see!"

He starts to pull out small bomblike items. I dodge, but as soon as they hit the deck, they explode. A smoke screen rises up, and I realize what he meant by Sadie's weird. When she was fighting me, she had one eye covered, yet always knew where I was, even when I was out of her line of sight, like when I was behind her or up in the air. I cough as the smoke increases. Soon, there is only plain smoke in front of me. I can't randomly run because of the ocean below me. I rip off a part of my clothing and tie it to cover my mouth. I close my eyes. Suddenly, a cut appears. He was on the left! As he keeps attacking, I note his position. Soon enough, I guessed his next position and attack. I dodge and attack.After hearing a clash of knives, I head for where his arm is, landing a second attack.

"AAH!" I hear him scream.

I regain my confidence and keep attacking. I can feel him trying to protect himself, but it doesn't work.

Suddenly, he lurches forwards and grabs my arm. He flings me into the air and only after a couple seconds was I able to realize that the ocean is below me. I feel myself falling down and down, while the pirate laughs gleefully. The smoke starts to clear, and I see the faces full of terror. I enter the water with a splash. Is this the end?

The cold water awakens my senses, as I try to look around. I can see dark, lurking shadows of sharks around me. Luckily, I still have my dagger in hand. The sharks charge with mouths full of saliva. I take the chance as they all charge at me, to swim up. Although I'm not as agile as on land, it is enough to have all the sharks collide and sink their teeths in each other. I take the chance to swim away. After a couple moments, as I near the shore, I spot ZhuWu! I swim towards him as fast as I can. After bringing him to the surface, he coughs and pulls something out of his pocket.

"H-here, u-use t-t-this…"

Grenades! I quickly rip off the safety clips and throw them at the pirate ships. Boom! One ship down… two, three… The pirate captain frantically waves around in horror.

"Retreat! Retreat!"

Suddenly, one explodes on his ship. His face turns black with smog and turns angry.

"You won't get away with this!"

He turns his few surviving ships and leaves.

"Doctor!" I yell.
