The Moon Thief

Chapter 94: Stronghold Raid!

The days passed quickly.

Heinald has been busy brewing potion for the past few days, using all the ingredients given to him. He also studied and experimented with the Starlight Realm herbs that Janeroth had given him in the remaining time. Moreover, during some of hisfree time, he left town and traveled to the plains and tried his new spell, Divine Chaos. During his journey to Ruthas Academy, he had done a lot of practice in the mind construction of spell pattern, but he had never done any casting.

This spell was the one that challenged him the most, but even that didn't give him much of a headache. Most Ainsars would need hundreds of times more practice to cast a Medium-Level spell. His greatest advantage was that he could construct the pattern of the spell in his mind perfectly and very quickly.

He understood better that this realm was far behind the Ainsar World in terms of research. When he asked Janeroth for a few ordinary books with information on plants, he said they were too valuable and could not be given away. Even ordinary books that gave information in this realm were considered very valuable.

Moreover, he learned some information about some stones containing spirit energy that the Pavants of this world used for cultivation.

It was quite easy to strengthen the spirit with these stones, as the body and spirit could not develop immunity to the spiritual energy taken from these stones. However, these stones were very rare and their spiritual energy was not as high as Spirit Potions.

According to Heinald, Spirit Potions were a better option because if a person had a Spirit Potion formula they could also use it commercially. Of course, the great powers would do their best to prevent this.

Tisha and the rest of the team were planning with Janeroth how the raid could be done.

Janeroth told them that his organization knew the location of all the meeting places of the Deph Enerun organization. Their initial goal would be to attack their meeting places, reducing their overall power. Finally, they were going to raid the organization's headquarters.

Of course, Eneel was actually behind this plan. He had been secretly investigating the locations of the organization called Deph Enerun for centuries. He had discovered the members of this organization by various methods without anyone noticing, and he had observed the places they visited thoroughly.

Heinald didn't know why Eneel was hostile to this organization, and frankly, he didn't care. All he cared about was his own life, and he was looking for ways to save himself.

One day Tisha gathered everyone together.

"Before we attack the headquarters of the Deph Enerun organization, we will attack their meeting places, we have talked about this before. Now we will split into teams and attack three different places at the same time."

Tisha began to explain the situation.

Heinald, Renshi, Lork, Durkus, and Janeroth were to be a group to attack the meeting place in the west of a valley called Dekporent.

Tisha and Arlies were to attack the meeting place near the organization's headquarters.

A total of ten Pavants from Janeroth's organization would attack the meeting place in the wooded area east of Polka City.

Heinald distributed all the Shied of Fire Heart, Distilled Thunder Essence, and Low Level Fire Effect Potions he had produced so far to the attackers. However, he brewed these potions from a non-optimized version by him. Only he would use the potions was optimized by himself.

He was able to give enough potions to those in Eneel's organization because he had extra potions in his hands. If it wasn't, it would definitely piss Eneel off.

After the next few days preparations were made, the teams moved to attack the bunkers designated for them.

Heinald, Renshi, Lork, Durkus, and Janeroth set out for the Dekporent Valley. Before leaving, Janeroth had given everyone a type of mount known as Vukant. This mount looked like a large six-legged lizard. However, they were faster and more agile than an ordinary horse. They had a mixed color of gray and green and could climb sloping roads without any difficulty.

After several days of uninterrupted travel, they reached the valley and began to advance towards the west of the valley.

Before long, they began to see the meeting place of the Deph Enerun organization. This meeting place was a large building built in a deserted area. It was built inside a medium-sized hill. The height of the building was about a hundred meters, but from the outside, it was not clear how deep it went inside.

Janeroth glanced at the people next to him and said, "We'll all be heading to different places once we get in. Kill anyone you see, if the situation is inextricable for you, then run away."

Meanwhile, his hidden energy began to emerge. He had the spiritual power of a Level 2 Ainsar. He raised his hands in the air and muttered a spell.

"Nighthallow Fire!"

Four blazing spears formed above his hands, and they all flew towards the entrance of the building at the same time.

*BAM!* With a loud explosion, the entire entrance was shattered.

"We are going!" At Janeroth's command, they all started running towards the entrance. There were pieces of burning rock and earth everywhere. It was chaos when they jumped over them and came to the entrance. The confused and nervous shouts of the Pavants inside could be heard.

As Janeroth said, everyone went in different directions when they walked in.

With Heinald's only thought, Embers and Narox appeared in his hands. He was moving quickly to the west side of the building.

"Estana Pataviff!"

Suddenly, a Pavant appeared before him. His appearance was that of a slender middle-aged man, but the energy emanating from him was almost equal to Heinald's. This man's face was filled with anger as well as awe. Obviously, the young man's appearance in front of him seemed different to him.

Heinald did not understand what this man was saying.

Heinald was glancing the man standing in front of him intently. Even though this man's spiritual power was almost equal to his own, his body looked very limp. There were many Ainsars who normally had a limp body but actually possessed great strength, but he did not know the cultivation method in this world. In this realm, magic users called themselves as Pavant, but he didn't know if physical cultivation was required to become a Pavant.

"There's no point in thinking any further! If this man's body can carry the spiritual energy he has, it means he has solid physical strength." Heinald cleared his mind of thoughts and began to think about how he could kill this man.

"Lsanstritis!" The middle-aged Pavant said something incomprehensible and attacked.

"Hm? What is that?" Heinald saw that the man was about to throw a small red stone at him. He immediately sent Magical Energy to the Narox in his hand and drew an arc into the air. An air stripe appeared and collided with the stone.

*BUM!* There was an explosion that destroyed half the corridor.

Heinald and the middle-aged man were struck by the energy waves from the explosion and were knocked back several meters.

Because the explosion was closer to Heinald, his internal organs and bones were destroyed.

"Puah!" Heinald coughed up blood.

Because the explosion was closer to Heinald, his internal organs and bones were pretty injured.

The middle-aged man stood up and began to cast a spell.

"I can not allow this!" Realizing this, Heinald immediately forced himself to his feet and threw the Narox in his hand with all his might.

Seeing the sword fast approaching towards him, the middle-aged man abandoned casting process and threw himself to the right, dodging the sword.

"Lightning Spear!" Heinald shouted out in his mind.

Lightning bolts appeared above Heinald's raised right hand, and it began to fly rapidly towards the middle-aged man after they got a shape of a spear.

The middle-aged man immediately took a blue stone from his pocket and broke it. As soon as the stone broke, a fog appeared surrounding the man.

*BAM!* When Lightning Spear landed on the man's location, a lightning blast appeared.

However, there was a problem!

"What!?" Heinald cried out in surprise.

When the Lightning Spear exploded, there was an explosion that was much less violent than it should have been. He immediately realized that it was about the fog surrounding the middle-aged man.

However, this fog could not prevent the middle-aged man from being greatly harmed. During the explosion, various limbs of the middle-aged man were severed, and his body floated several meters in the air.

"Not protective enough!" Heinald made an assessment as he walked towards the still-living middle-aged man.

He picked up Narox from the ground and stabbed the dying middle-aged man in the head, killing him immediately.

Heinald began to search for this middle-aged man. He wondered if there were more of the interesting stones he used before. If he found a few of them, he wanted to examine them in detail.

Unfortunately he couldn't find even one.

"Puah!" Heinald coughed up blood again. His internal injuries were not well at all, he could not go on any longer. He turned around to walk again towards the entrance, hoping he could retreat. But as soon as he took a step, a crack formed in the ground under his feet and the ground collapsed.
